WhAtchA WorKinG On WeDnEsDay..

Well I have been busy these past couple of days!! working into the evenings...which if fine by hubby cause then he can watch his DVR of football games and his news too..I made these 2 dolls by Jackie Schmidt..they were in the mercantile gatherings magazine which I was able to read on sunday..it was gorgeous outside so I sat and read my magazine and came across these and knew I had to make these..I used a real pumpkin stem for the tops of their heads...and put in little candles that I got on ebay..and some of my dried goods as well..

I made some more ornies and some of them like the R.I.P. glow in the dark..I used glow in the dark thread on these and they look so cool in the dark...so these are great little bowl fillers or attach a string and you can put them on a spooky tree..they are all done with wool felt and are machine embroidered..so if any one is interested let me know..

I have been an embroidering fool lately..but i think I am done for the time being..gotta finish up these pillow fronts and make them into little pillow tucks..

and these are little candy bag toppers..great for that special little nose goblin or your college student that is away at college and you are sending a care package too.....I have so much to do and so little time..so gotta get back at it...

The answer to what that photo was in yesterdays post...are you ready for the answer....you will be shocked...it is left over tar from paving the road..but we honestly thought it was deer or bear poo too..until we saw this huge pile and it was shiny and hard...:) have a wonderful day..we are getting a bright and sunny day after yesterdays rain..I also put up a few more halloween decorations...my old crooked lights. a huge jack O' Lantern and my kitty scarecrow his face lights up..Take care...:)

hey there!!! well I felt well enough to go out for our weekend walks this past sunday and Monday..(hubbys days off this past month) and took my camera in hopes to find something new...and this is the only thing I took on Sunday...isn't this a unique piece of driftwood? looks like an alligator head to us..it is really neat..

yesterday passing the same house that we always do...I took photos of these in full bloom and oh my gosh the heads on the things are Dinner Plate size and I mean the big ones...mine were truly salad plate size..still neat to look at though...I cut the head off of mine and put them where the bird feeders are and they are being eaten by something..so a great way for the animals to get some food in their bellys...

I am posting a "what is this" question to you all..I will reveal the answer in tomorrows post..:)

love the colors and this type of tree...fall is here..it was a winnie the pooh kind of day yesterday...blustery...but beautiful..it rained a bit last night and is expected too the rest of the week..so I can hopefully get lots done..

Our Friend Travis' house...I love the blue..he is a young man with a new baby and he is a landscaper with his dad and they have worked hard on building this house and has a beautiful back yard..and I love the style of his house and love the blue with the white..:)

I got two packages in the mail yesterday..and apparently I took some pretty blurry photos...poo...well you get the picture..:)

my blog winnings from Thimble prim studios came and it is such a cute little pin cushion...the bottom is a soft black velvet..and I love the way she sewed on her business card to the bottom of it...very creative..will have to keep that one in mind...she is also having another giveaway ..it is on my side bar a cute little cranberry doll...so be sure to check that out..

Here is where I put my little pin cushion...This is in the stairwell now..I have also been tweeking and we are cleaning out the guest bedroom to make way for a new to us, old roll top desk that Mike is getting for free from his work..he doesn't use his computer in there...so it is going and so is the desk..man there are so many books and just plain crap in there..so he is going to take a day to go through it when the desk comes home..it will be nice to declutter and make it a guest room again..so this wrought iron longaberger stand made its way down stairs to the stairwell and is housing all my cookbooks and decorating books now along with my picnic baskets.. I also put out my little fall picks that I bought at Joanns last week and one is here..the cushion is sitting on it...amazing how much those little picks add in just the right places..might have to go buy more when I am out this week..getting my hair done on thursday..oh it is so needing to be done..hate faded hair...then to joanns to spend my 50% off coupons and then grocerys...so it will be a long day...

last but not least...I ordered these candles to use in my creations from Sharon of Hearts and homespun..Soft in the head uses them in her creations and I purchased some of her patterns and they call for these itty bitty candles..they are only 2 inches long and oh so cute..She also sent me a cute little blackened grunged wax headstone ornament..this will go on my tree with my other wax ornaments when I decorate this weekend or next...I have been busy sewing and will have lots to show you tomorrow for WWW...I will have ornies and candlemats and 2 dollies to share..hopefully more..so have a wonderful tuesday everyone..:)

WhAts In mY PanTry...And More CandLe mAts...

Good Saturday Morning!!! Yesterd Carmen C of Waxed out creative life wanted to know what was in your pantry..so here goes..We are trying to get our food storage up to par and to get at least a years supply incase of job loss, or what ever this economy throws at us..we have at best 6 months so far...I do try to get stuff each pay day to add to this supply..I need to make another run to our ward canning and get more..but here is the pantry in the kitchen..these shelves slide out..we never had food in our kitchen until we remodled our kitchen 5 years ago and had this big pantry unit put in..we used to have 2 big ones in the laundry room before we remodled and that held our food..they now live in the garage..

Here is a built in unit that Hubby built into the wall in the laundry room..the top basically stores our pastas and other dried goods...the lower half stores dirty laundry...I love it..

this is above the washer and dryer...

these are the 2 storage units that used to live in the house..got these at costco in the mid 90's..they have traveled overseas and back...the one on the left doesn't have food storage that is supplys and pet food..the right side has the food storage in it..

what you see here is food storage from our food canning done by our church..the outside lists what is on the inside...they are #10 cans of food..if you click on the photo you will see how many are in each..

just another shot of the food in the right one...we have plenty of garage space and will keep adding this a bit at a time...we also have a chest freezer and are getting a side of beef soon..we are going in on it with our next door neighbors....So there you go..kind of a boring post but I would suggest getting your food storage in order cause you never know what life will throw at you..or where this nation of ours is headed...I would rather be safe then sorry..

Look what came in the mail yesterday for me..I ordered these from a fellow blogger Stefanie had these in her shoppe and I asked her to give me two different sizes..look at the cute packaging and I love that cupcake tag!!

These remind me of the peanut shaped soft candy you can buy at the store..you all know the ones.I gotta tell you I was wanting to eat one of these...Thanks again Stefanie for these and fast and quick service too..go check out her selling blog as well..she has some great things there..

okay now onto what I have been making since thursday...more pillow tucks and candle mats..

I am so loving the way these are turning out..will be making more today...

I love the cross stitch holly horse..it even has gold reins and there is gold bling troughout to give it that holiday touch..:)

the little welcome to our home will be a small little pillow tuck..this is also a cross stitch design done by machine...it is my kind of cross stitching..fast and my eyes don't go buggy...well my cold is still with me..still contagious I would guess but I am getting alot of it out...but holy cow how much snot pardon the phrase can one person have...colds are disgusting aren't they...and to boot I think my DH is getting it..he sounded like crap last night..losing his voice like I did and he has to work today..think we will be taking it easy this weekend...anyway have a wonderful weekend...our weather has been glorious here..just right as they say...:)

Hey there and Good thursday to you!! My cold is breaking finally..getting a lot of stuff...I think my voice is coming back...feel much better...well yesterday wasn't a total wash..I got these 8 things done in a couple of hours..I love HSE's designs...very prim and simple..

going to try and get some more done today..have some church ladys coming by for a visit today at 1pm..so gotta make sure the house is in tip top shape..Below are some Maxine funnies for you...She describes fall nicely...;) have a wonderful thursday everyone..:)

well we use a leaf blower and Love it!!! makes that job a breeze..

me too...but unfortunately theirs fall in my yard and I have to clean them up...Answer me this if they are their leaves that fall in my yard..who should clean them up?...

I'd rather go on the hay ride..:) with a nice cup of hot cider and a blankie...

I can't believe it!!! I just got an email from Cindy at Thimbleprims Studio telling me that I had won her giveaway!!! I am beside myself and can't wait to get it...I love this and I love halloween and it will go so nicely with my halloween decor..This is my 9th win but whose counting..I actually won something in July..from another blogger but she never sent me my item...so I guess it doesn't count...but this was such a nice surprise to get today..okay any day would be a great day when you win...:)

and the mailman was very good to me again today..I ordered these two stamps from 1-2-3 stitch...I love that crow with the pumpkins...just love it..They have the fastest service there folks and they have so much stuff to buy, you will love these guys.....Well my cable guy has been here since about 1:30 and he left at 4pm..we have been yakking the whole time..he originally put our cable in for us about 9 years ago...very friendly and fun to talk to...so haven't got anything done today...hoping to get something going here today...but I just had to share my good news with you all...Two posts in one day..haven't done that in a very long time..:)

WhAtchA WorKinG On WeDnEsDay..

Hey there, well this is the only thing I finished between sunday and today..did this on monday night..another wonderful cross stitch machine embroidered candle mat..I am hooked on my machine and seeing it come to life right before your eyes..truly love my machine..and that is what I will be doing the rest of the week...

I won these old zinc lids on ebay for $5.00..I got 17 of these.They came in the mail yesterday....going to use them as the little stands for some cute little dolls..mostly by Soft in the head..so I am set to go..

Well I went to town yesterday, and had to pick up meds, pet food and people food and stopped by Joanns to get some more supplys..spied all this fabric..(didn't need it) but who can pass up glorious fabric..this will be backings on pillows and the insides of my purses too..I love the fall one in front with the scarecrows in overalls...too cute..

got some more wool felt for my little embroidered ornies...

also picked up some bittersweet picks for my fall decorating..they had the buy one get one free..they were only $1.99 so I bought 6..

and because of all the embroidering I have been doing..I needed some more thread..these are not cheap let me tell you...but my gal at Joanns was working yesterday and she always takes good care of me...I love her.. Well this cold is full blown now...I hadn't slept in 3 days..took a pill for my cold that I had in my drawer and I slept finally..I didn't get out of bed till 10:30am this morning..I feel so much better in the sleep part..but my nose is stuffed..and nothing is coming out..I know TMI..but you all know what I'm talking about..but hopefully it is breaking...won't stop me from my crafting though...I am having way too much fun with it..I still have about 15 purses to finish..just put the handles on and or zippers or magnetic closures..so when I am done with the embroidering..will do those plus finish my pillow tops that I have done..I hope you all have a wonderful day..the weather here is gorgeous..this is what I call our indian summer..just love it..:)...Oh almost forgot..I got a wonderful award from Tammy yesterday and I need to post that on my sidebar..I haven't had any awards in along time ..so that was nice..Thanks Tammy for thinking of me...:) Okay that is it for me...I have loved seeing everyones fall decor and seeing them all cozied up for the fall weather ahead...I do love getting all snuggled in like a
