A SweeT DaY of PaMpeRinG...

Good Evening!!!! how is everyone doing in Bloggville!!! I am doing great..had my full day of pampering..and wish I could do this every day!! I wanted to show you what I have been working on for the past week..haven't been as diligent with this one..but I am almost finished..this is from a design by chestnut junction...I love her patterns.. and I added my own tweeks and embellishments to this...I love that face..:)

this is what happens when you walk away from your computer..Sunny decided she liked the warmth..just glad I had actually turned it off..or she would have connected with some one in china..:) she is my computer baby..;)

okay now for the before pictures..this is the old hair do and old glasses..while I loved these glasses they didn't have the nose guard and I was forever pushing them up on my face...got old..and I purchased the insurance just in case I didn't like them...only took me 8 months to finally get new ones. (this was 20 pounds)

and here I am today after my day of getting my hair done and the new glasses...( and 28 pounds)..

I love this red color..she does such a nice job..I love this gal..

not the greatest photo of the back..but we are growing it out to have that "stacked bob" the angled look..long in front short in back..got a ways to go..but I love it.;) and can you see those eyes peeking out on my back..that is my cat tattoo..got it in italy..its just the cat eyes, nose and whiskers..

oh and here was the best part..we 4 got them all done at once..I got the french pedi..oh and I love this..and Sarah the sweetheart that she is..treated us..so next time its on me..we each got the papaya wax and lotion wrap..oh..everyones feet felt soooo good..those are my newest flip flops..great for my poor feet..they have that arch support in them..got fitted yesterday for my orthodics..they will be here when I get back..hoping they make my feet feel better..so I can keep walking to my hearts content..we have been taking shorter power walks and it is paying off..we have our heart rates up..and we are loving it..although no walk today..raining and nasty..hoping to get one more in before I leave on friday..the weather in Utah is supposed to be pretty nice..so hoping to get some walking time in..have walking shoes will travel.;)

I purchased some more wool for my penny/folkart rugs...

stopped by good will last week to drop off the stuff that didn't sell and found a cutting board to paint up for .99 cents and spoons to take a hammer to and use my alphabet stamping set and make garden markers..there is a gal selling 11 of these for 73.00...no way no how..;)making my own..well that is it for me..going to clean house and get packed tomorrow so hubby doesn't have to worry about it...he can relax with the babies..He will still have to pick up and sweep..but he doesn't have to clean toilets, mop or dust..hoping to catch up on some of my tv too..my waltons are stacking up... I went to Victorias Secret to get new bras and I went from a 42 C to a 38D..not to shabby..I just got some new clothes on line and the ups gal just delivered them..they were my birthday gift from hubby..(I picked them out) and told him they were from him..easy shopping huh? he thought so..lol..

this might be my last post until I come back.. Good Monday morning all! here are some more pictures of the yard in blooming action..by June my foxgloves will be blooming..I can't wait I love the..the blue plants in front are Lithodoria..I love this electric blue ground cover..

poppies, bleeding heart and ajuga here..the primroses are all done..

the front rock wall..poppies, ornamental strawberries..that big plant is a trillium..it is done blooming as all the white flowers are turning a pinkish purple..

the hopps are doing well..they grow about a foot a day..more forget me nots..I really love this plant..my roses have buds...but not blooming yet..

my lilac has 2 big blooms on it this year..love the smell..I have strawberries planted there and there are strawberries..hoping by next month they are ripe enough to eat..

I planted 2 more strawberries in the mail box..one has a large strawberry on it..:) will be neat to see it trail down the box.;)

more forget me nots, primroses, a hydranga bush and foxglove..I love this area..

I planted the red and green cabbages..that area was completely filled with oregano..we have some in the clump on the upper right and we didn't need that much..so I had to dig out this lower bed..I also planted cucmbers, and shallots in the bigger part..we have tators coming up all over..

I planeted my collanders and washed down the chairs (did them after the shoot)..

the tomatoes are planted...hoping we get some this year..

the kids garden..love this little area next to the veggie garden..

front side portion..my dahlia is doing well, along with the pansies and petunias.. the front gate my two clematis are climbing it and so far doing well..

I pulled out my bistro table and chairs to sit and relax and enjoy a magazine...although you will probably find me on the back deck doing this..well the day is turning out glorious..hubby is taking me for a walk..and we may work in the yard getting up the stray raspberry bushes..then off to the grocery store for some food for the week..
I lost the other 1/2 a pound..so that is 26 to date and hubby has lost 15...so we are both looking and feeling much better..my friend from church noticed and thought I had lost more..that was nice to hear..will post pictures after I get my new do on wednesday...also getting a nice pedicure with my friend Sarah and her mom and friend..a girls day out..looking forward to it..getting the whole pamper treatment..almost finished with my latest penny rug..will share that one soon...

FiNaLLy a PoSt...

Good Sunday Morning everyone!! I have been wanting to post forever and have so many other pictures to show you and started this yesterday but the computer puked up..so I have a post in "draft" heaven waiting for me to finish...so you will get more as the days go by I hope..I finally got my veggie garden and flowers planted..remember that I idea I found in a magazine of alysumm in bloom in a sink with dishes? well here is my version of it..I have a bunch of broken beach glass and dishes and a broken blue cup and tossed them all in this very heavy sink...I can't wait for the flowers to get bigger and fuller so it looks like a lot of "suds"..

I have the cushions set out on the table now..flowers there and I am waiting for them to bloom..that is Stanley Manley getting a bite to eat..he is our "ladies" man..

I planted all the little pots that hang off the back porch..cleaned off the chairs and moved the bench back so I can lay down my magazines and drink when I actually sit down to relax...that is my favorite spot as you will see on my side bar..

I moved the black stove board from the kitchen counter to the laundry room..saw it done on someones blog and decided to give it a try..I love it here and it gives me more space to keep my laundry stuff..you can see in the left corner I have my little "ice bucket" back out..it is my kitchen composter, when it gets full of food stuff I take it out and dump it in the big composter..now it can be in here instead of my kitchen counter..;)

I had hubby drag our old garden gate out to the back portion of our yard so I could make some sort of a gardeny focal point as there is nothing back there but ferns and leaf mulch..I am going to purchase some wild flower seeds and toss them all over this portion of the yard and see what they do...I have some wild raspberry bushes I need to pull out as they spread...will have hubby helping me with that tomorrow...I have a few bleeding hearts there already...but this needs some color..so here is what I have done..I love how this turned out with just found objects in the yard..

I hope more forget me nots will produce here as the years go by..our yard is filled with them in the back yard and I love them..(more photos to follow on another day)...I got to see my friend Sarah yesterday with her two little ones and her mom and good friend..they stopped by with some birthday goodies..I will share all of the birthday stuff when I get all my packages...it will be a post all by itself..Sarahs mom and friend Bergitta loved my home and I tell you it is the best compliment when they say "your home is warm and inviting"...made my day...they said I should enter those magazine contests to see if I win..that would be awesome too..will have to think about that one..would love to be in country sampler or even better homes and gardens....the yard is back up to speed which is nice..our weather was gorgeous this week..so got a lot done..rained a bit yesterday but not enough to stop us from walking..will be going out later this afternoon after church for one too...dropped another 1/2 pound..hoping to lose another 5 before the end of the week before my trip home to see my mom and siblings...will keep you all posted on my progress..

some of you asked how I am doing it..lots of exercise (walking) and eating around 1200-1400 calories a day...trying to stay away from carbs, sweets etc..mostly proteins and lots of veggies, salads etc..if I do snack it is diet cookies or some sort of low carb snack or a little spoonful of peanut butter..it takes away my sweet cravings...well I have bored you long enough...have a wonderful sunday and thanks for stopping by and thank you for being my cheering squad...I have missed alot of you out there that haven't blogged in a while or stopped by..hope all is well and hope you are back to blogging soon..:) I miss seeing what you are up too...

Hey there everyone!! oh I miss blogging..have lots of pictures..but for some reason somethings disabled on this lap top..we are getting a part for my computer..if it doesn't work..getting a new one.. I am hoping hubby can help me upload photos on the laptop..so I don't miss a beat..

got the yard work done..things planted, something new in the yard I can't wait to show you..got my new glasses..love them..getting a new "do" on wednesday...getting fitted with orthodics for my flat feet..been in pain for 2 years..the doctor is hoping these will do the trick..or the next thing is surgery..so we shall see..have a great weekend..hoping to be up and running this weekend with photos etc.;)

Yeah this just in..I am at the 25 pound mark finally!!! Yippee!!!! only 59 more to go..:) this I tell you keeps me motivated...it is starting to show..I am getting into things I haven't seen in a very long time..and its like a whole new wardrobe..love getting dressed..instead of being in the jammies all day..don't get me wrong..I love my jammies too..thanks to you all that are cheering me on..:)

Hello there fellow bloggers!!!! Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes!!! and glad Blogger was able to recover that entry..;) I had a wonderful birthday..went to lunch with my friend to olive Garden and I had 1 bread stick and salad...stayed on it pretty good...she gave me a dozen red roses..they are beautiful..then when I got some more flowers from 2 more gals..yellow this time and a cute little note book and a red polka dot pen and 2 pieces of chocolate cake..and I will tell you I ate my cake..they must have read my mind that I was craving that..it was goooooddd..;)we didn't got to dinner as I wanted a walk instead..so we ate fish tacos I think and had a nice quiet birthday.. I am getting new glasses..the ones I have don't have the little nose guards and I am forever pulling them up..so on my birthday I went and found another pair..I had purchased the insurance incase I didn't like these and only had to pay 40.00..and they are ready...so I think I am heading into town today to get them.that was quick..they said 2 weeks..it was only 2 days..hows that for service..

My regular computer has pooped itself..the fan that makes it stay cool is shot...so not photos no nothing till hubby finds me a new power supply..I am on the lap top and my photo are on my computer..that is why you are getting the cute kitty photo..

Saturday I had another attack..not sure if I was passing a stone or what..but it was painful..from 9am till 11:30pm..the pain just stopped..drank alot of water..still retaining water as a matter of fact..not sure why..haven't lost..but haven't gained..crappy week for walking...only went out 3 times this week..hoping this week is better..

My girlfriends new baby had a lung collapse..but he is out of NICU and hopefully coming home today...poor little guy..

Well that is it for me. will be mailing off some packages today..and getting everyone their totals for the things they purchased..sorry this took so long..had big plans to do it on saturday when the attack happened...and it was a gorgeous day too..was going to work in the yard..take a walk..oh I sat on my butt and withered in pain..the only good thing is I am caught up on my dvr programs..lol..we have Harry Potter to watch tonight..hoping it is good..as I loved the other movies..has anyone seen this one? the latest? what did you think of it? I hope you all have a wonderful monday..I think when my computer is fixed I may have more to sell..soap type stuff..so be on the look out..no new projects..need to get started on one...it is going to be a halloween pumpkin hanger..can't wait..take care and welcome to my newest friends that are following me..:)

its my party and I'll cry if I want too...I had a dream last night that I was turning 84 and hated it..but thought I looked good for 84..cause it looked just like me now..lol..glad its only 48 for the time being..going to Olive Garden with a friend for lunch and Indian food with Hubby tonight..

The Most MirAcuLouS ThInG I HaVe eVer SEen...BiRth:)

Good Morning everyone!!! I have to tell you of my experience yesterday..My great friend Sarah called me at 11am and said that she was probably going to have her baby and that I better get ready so when she called me back at 12:30pm she would let me know how things were progressing and if I needed to hurry up and get over to the hospital..so I got ther at 2pm...she was only a 3 or so..at 4:30 they gave her the epidural and she started to feel much better.. But little Nygel wasn't quite ready yet..so we waited...and waited..visited..at lunch..they checked her..progressing..but not as fast..they broke her water at 4:30pm I might add and she was slowly progressing along..and then at 8:31pm..she gave birth..I would like you to meet Nygel Alfred Hogan..he weighed in at 6 pounds 7 ounces and is 18-1/2 inches long..and I will tell you it was the neatest experience ever..I think Sarah pushed twice and out he came and the really neat thing was even before his little head popped out..he was crying..and I wondered where it was coming from..and it was him crying in the birth canal..I cried..I didn't think they cried at least not in the birth canal...the picture above is moments after he popped out and they are cleaning him off..he was crying the whole time..he let them know he was here!!!..

aren't they so cute..Sarah looks beautiful..and I will tell you she was graceful throughout the entire process..didn't say a mean thing once..I tell you had I been there..I would have probably killed my hubby..I love the way they wrapped up Nygel..I called him their little baby burrito..he looks so small and he looked like a doll at one point..

a radiant and happy..but tired mama..

ahhh the proud dad..I even got to hold him for a couple of minutes..he just melds right into you..and he even caught onto nursing within the hour..what a little champ..today the older 3 get to meet their brother..they are going to love him..so now they have 2 of each..and from what I am told the last..;)

his little tootsies..I got home around 10:30pm..and was flat exhausted..I can only imagine how Sarah felt..I can't thank Sarah enough for letting me be a part of the process and welcoming a new little soul into the world..something I will never experience myself..and it was..wonderful..really words can't even express it..its one thing to see it on tv..and quite another to see it LIVE!!!..and it was just too cool..Thank you again Travis and Sarah for allowing me to be there..and Welcome Baby Nygel.;)

I hope you all have a wonderful day today..the weather looks a bit well like it could rain..Hubby took Tucker to work today..so hopefully the weather will pick up and we can go walking tonight..

I am down 22 pounds now..I even purchased some new tops as all the rest are getting a big big and not flattering at all..so I helped Hubby buy my birthday presents..I think he likes this..takes all the pressure off of him..and I got some new sizzix dies for my birthday too..still lots of things up for grabs in my garage sale..I have a really neat t kettle (for looks only)..that I want to sell..will post that tomorrow..great for a collector..I think its unique..have a wonderful day everyone and thanks for stopping by and saying hey..you guys/gals are the best.;)
