Good SaTurDay Morning to you all..I tell you it feels like September early October outside..an overcast cool morning..days like this I just want to hole up in my craft room and sew..or snuggle on a blanket parked in front of the Tube.;)..not complaining..as I love this kind of weather..it will burn off and be totally gorgeous today.;)..The above photo is my good pal Betty Fagan..she is always thinking of me..and knows the things I love...so she gave me a call yesterday and told me she had to bring some things over to give me..she was going through her little storage unit/closet in her cute little cottage and this is what she gave me....

this cute country kitty..she has had this for years..but she needs to make room in her little home and she is going to through stuff..This little kitty came with a big straw hat..but it looks better in my bedroom..for now anyway...I love the fabric..it has tiny little ants on it.. the gal that made this did a wonderful job..it was made back in 1994...seems like forever doesn't it...lol..

and she also found this wonderful candlestick that you unscrew the little knob there to move up the candle...never saw this kind before..gives me any idea to make a little mouse or something warming himself up by candle light..we'll see..

my Hubbys work is hosting a BBQ tonight out on the marina where he works..so I am making a Hamburger crunch recipe that I got from Cat Haven crafts...It looks so yummy and easy..;) and I am making homemade shortcakes for rasberrry shortcakes..one of the guys Mike works with bought some choice rasberrys..so I am also making homemade whip cream..should be tasty...My etsy is going really well too...sold another item yesterday...something thats been listed a while..so that is always nice to see..a little ching in my bang account..:) I am going to be listing some more on my etsy as we speak..so stop by for a peek..;)I will be doing a little bit of sewing today..before I bake..I hope you all have a wonderful weekend..I will be back again tomorrow for 2 more words..so stay tuned..;)

GoOd MoRninG..It FeeLs LiKe FaLL...

This is what I woke up to at 8am this morning...doesn't feel like summer..feels more like fall..I LOVE these foggy mornings..any time of the year... been mild and I am not complaining.;)

This is Sunny E Bunny..taking a siesta in my craftroom..she loves to be with the mama and I caught her all stretched out like this yesterday...so I had to snap a few photos..:)

Seems some are a bit confused on how to play..so I will try to explain it better..Starting Saturday I will begin posting 2 words each day..you check in each day to see if you have those words..and when someone gets all 15 words, thats bingo in my book, they email me or post a comment on my blog to tell me they got bingo...I will then check their list to see that they got it and then I will contact you for your address...That simple..you need to be on top of this each day I won't be doing that for you..otherwise whats the point..;) so folks if you want to play please email me your words..;)

BaBy BiRds and DeEr And GiVeAway Oh My...

Hellooooo!!!! Gosh I can't believe how fast this week has flown..and I have done no crafting..I am going to sit down and do some today though..just as soon as I am done with this..:) well I have to list more on etsy then I will do some sewing I promise...the photo above is a little birdhouse that we had hung here for many years now..probably at least 10 years or so..we have little birds..not sure if they are starlings or what..but they pay us a visit come the middle to end of May and those windows that you see are my craftroom windows..so I get to hear all the goings on at their little place and on tuesday I heard a bunch of squacking and Pody lynn was sitting by the back door looking that way..and I thought I better take a peek to make sure the little ones were okay and that they hadn't fallen out of their house..so I stepped outside and could see alot of birdies flitting this way and that way..taking off and flying and landing..and a couple of times some fell in the bushes below and got caught so hubby retreived them and put them back up in the nest..(we had to get the ladder for this)..so we left it up incase we needed to use it again..but the birds used it as a landing pad as well.they were even clinging to the side of the house..we noticed 3 babies and mom and dad taking them out for a night time flight...there was so much noise watching these wee ones get their flight wings..we sat outside for about a 30 minutes watching from the garden..it was so neat to be able to witness this..we have only seen it one other time...it finally grew quiet..so I think they all went to bed for the night..but they started early thursday morning and their was one little chubby baby left on the perch..I was afraid he wasn't going to fly..but I checke them a bit later and they were gone..they had left our home for good..it is quiet now no more singing till next spring...I've often wondered if its the same ones that come back to visit us each year...but it was so nice to be able to experience their little lives if only for a moment..yesterday as I was out burning the weeds in the yard..the mama deer brought her baby with her for a bite to eat...wished I had had my camera..it was precious...haven't seen the babies before...love these little glimpses of wildlife on occasion..;)

Okay I am at it again..I just finished cleaning, mopping, and dusting and I get the urge to start tweaking with stuff...and I need to wash my little table runner that I got from Kimberly as the kittys love to sleep up there..and I was getting tired of this arrangement..wanting something a bit more simple...so the above is before....

and here is the after..I pulled out one of my vintage table cloths..(I think this is the only one I have) and love the colors for summer.. I had that green box with the strawberry boxes over on the wood box by the wood stove and thought it might look nice on the table..so I took my apples, limes, and my salt dough cookies and my jar of jam and cookie cutters and salt dough strawberrys and put them in side each little box. I left the milk jar with flower there and put a pillow that I made in front...probably won't last long as I did a swap with Lynn of Painting thyme needfuls and she is making me a box with cats..I can't wait to get it..it will be very prim indeed..so this might change yet again...the rest of the stuff went out to the garage..might send some of it home to my little sister..:)

Hubby brought home the other 3 crab so he shelled them after I cooked them up..and I made more crab cakes for tonight..they are chilling in the fridge..we also have enough to make another batch this weekend.;) so a nice salad and these tasty little things are on the menu tonight...anyone want to join us?

okay I am really surprised that I only have 3 people that have given me their lists...starting to wonder if you all don't like what I am giving away..I need your lists of words by midnight friday night...I might even throw in some more goodies..but the winner will just have to wait and see....Scroll down one post to see how to enter..;)

Hey there everyone..hope your wednesday is going swell!!! I was going through my pictures so I could post on here and came across a sleeping Pody Lynn..look at that precious face..Okay she is the token kitty photo today

I found a photo of what my stairwell used to look like above is the before..

and this is the after..you can see why I love it so much now..I took some photos yesterday at noon and the sun is setting a certain way in the sky now..and it fills so much like fall some days...and I love the way the house looks at these certain times of the day..do you all experience this..or is it just goofy old me..;)

our garden didn't do well as we had a wet spring...still gotta harvest the taters and still no tomatoes..lots of flowers for months now and nothing..so we have had 2 so far..;) huge disappointment..but what can you do..we do have a killer crop of basil this year..lol..

a "tuckered" puppy..;) it was a beautiful day yesterday..nice with a light breeze and not too hot..just right..same way today..so I got out early and burned weeds, rounded up weeds and pulled weeds..I am set for a bit now..love a tidy yard...

Well look what my postal girl left me in my mailbox..I got a surprise from a wonderful blogger named Romeo (he's a cat you know)..but his mama Deborah helps him write it..I love reading about what he is up to..and look at the cute packaging..I think that is Romeo on the front.;)

I got this cute little book of the 7 wonderful cats as Romeo knows I have have 7 wonderful cats and just knew this book had to come and live with me..I read it and it is just too cute and the kitties names are Tommy..all of them..and the all look alot like my kitties..so this was such a sweet treat to get in the mail..Thank you Romeo for thinking of me and my kitties..you have made my day..Be sure to tell your Mama to give you a great big love for me..:)

Hey there Everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend...our weekends are Sundays and Mondays as those are hubbys days off..so Yesterday we took Millie in for her 3rd ear check..and she is healed so that is nice to hear both for Millies sake and our check books sake..:) so we did a little running around and came home and worked in the back yard..and it was a hot day...but we were working in the shade so that helped..we had a huge pile of limbs from the photenia bushes we took out 2 years ago..(I can't believe it has been that long)..so we finally cut it up to use for firewood and we still have another pile to either get rid of or burn..then to finally finish that back once and for all...well when we got home yesterday my huge package from Cindy of Cynthia Lee Designs had a huge garage sale and she took some photos to show us what she had and well I couldn't resist..best prim garage sale I have ever been too..;) and as you can see from the photo above it was a big box..and I had my little Silly Millie getting ready to help..;)

the box was crammed full and when I had taken this I had already been digging in it..felt like christmas..in July..;) and it was soooo much fun..

these are for my little sister..:) I gave her 2 little america saltbox house pictures and these will go nicely with it..:)

this little saltbox house had a little bit of roof damage...

so I took my trusty e-6000 and a clamp and a touch of paint and it looks good as new..also for my little sister..this also lights..got to get a light for it.;)

these were little added extras from cindy...love the little jars...the plates were an extra too..:) the little pineapple had some damage..but nothing that a little paint couldn't fix..looks good as new.;)

this little teapot got a broken handle in the travel here..the post office isn't too careful and I am sure they just tossed this sucker around..again some e-6000 and it has character now.;) love the sheep.:)

I remember this make do makeover Cindy did with this..it had a heart cutout and she replaced it with a rusty star..much better.;)

I put up the candle sconce..will probably grunge up the candle..there was a doll here, then a hat and now this..looks good with the window..

when I went to bed last night as I was coming up the stairs I started thinking how I was going to change this with some of the things I already had there..so I couldn't wait to set this up...you can see the pineapple and the crow pillow in the window..

I put the lighted bird house here for the time being.can't wait to see it tonight for some ambieant lighting..:)

this was the laundry room when I got the new enamel ware pan..it just wasn't sitting well with me..

so I hung the pan on the wall with the other one..

this had all my cat stuff on it before and it just never went well there now that I have this ensamble..I love how the sun hit as I took the photo...love the sun when it hits around noon..feels like fall..love it..;)This is also the stairwell, where all the other items are too.

here it is on the kitchen table...Well I had a blast tweaking all of this today...I hope you enjoyed the transformations..today feels alot like fall..just a nice breezy beautiful summer day...the birds are chirping waiting for their mama to feed them..laundry is hanging on the line to dry...washing the bed linens and the girls are out in the kennel watching the world go by..:) I am off to finish up some chores and enjoy the rest of the day.:) thanks for stopping by.;)
