SwaPs, 4th Of JuLy, FLoWeRS, CraFts, & kiDs...

Hello everyone!! well I am done cleaning house, mopping etc..so hubby is good to go with holding the fort down while I am at home with my family..some of you may ask why he isn't going..its not that he doesn't want to support me..we just have too many babys to care for and trust no one..so I will feel better knowing that Hubby is home taking care of our babies..Plus I have my family and friends back home to help me..I am okay..course when I see my mom for the first time on monday..not sure..that will be tough for sure..but I think I will be okay..Yesterday I received a swap package from a gal that wanted to do a swap..and I gladly obliged..she sent me a cute little pan with "vanilla" scent fixins in it..and the refresher oil to go with it..and a little butterfly air freshner I will be putting in my car..;)..I sent her a sheep plate and a little pillow tuck..

This smells yummy too..

Hubby came home yesterday from work bearing gifts..fabric to be exact..they get left in lockers by folks and this is nice flannel fabric...will use it for baby stuff that I make..I love the lettered one..

Okay I am finally posting my 4th of july decor..remember nothing fancy..I purchased these cute little liberty and uncle sam dolls earlier this month from Blue moon beginnings..they fit puurrrfectly in my little craft box on my kitchen table..

up in the stairwell..nothing fancy..a resin uncle sam..a pillow that I made and the sheep that my great blogging buddy Cindy made for me..

my summer plate, that Cindy gave me..I have all the seasons..I love changing them out..

okay the house lit up at night..

Hubbys work gave us this wonderful hydranga bush yesterday for the passing of my mom..I love this and it was so thoughtful..;)

just above the wall in the corner (above the red can) is where I plan on putting it..;) gotta dig out the stuff in that corner when I get back and plant it there..can't wait to see how it looks..

I am 95% done with this wall hanging have to add some more stripes and a star to the hat and attach the hanger and it is done.. I love how this turned out.;)

Mike witnessed a really tender thing last night that he ran and got the camera to prove it..(I was out getting my hair trimmed up and getting ink for the computer)...Lucy loves to help everyone eat their food..and Tucker is no exception..usually he is very protective of his food or bones..but she just pushed her way in and started helping..

now this is the precious one..they are both eating together...I love this photo..Lucy is asleep as we speak on my lap..she loves to sleep on my chest at night..she is such a welcome addition to our home..we are both smitten with this kitten..she is just so busy and loves to play..she makes us laugh at what she does..she also loves to hide under the bed and attack your feet..she is sneaky too..Well this is my last post till I return next friday..Take care and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend..oh and I am down 34-1/2 pounds..and pulled out some more jeans that fit..and a skirt too..:)Thank you again for your prayers for my family and myself..I love the power of prayer..cause it is keeping me sane..:)

HouStoN We HaVe a PrObLeM...

Hello there my wonderful fellow bloggers!!! Thank you so much for keeping me and my family in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time..I can feel the love from all of you with all the wonderful comments you left me..truly you have touched my heart more then you know..and my family appreciates it too.;)I am flying out on June 26th and the funeral is tuesday..all of us kids are standing up and sharing our thoughts and funny stories/memories about our mom..I am just hoping I don't lose it on the spot or clam up..I don't like public speaking..never have..and this is an emotional time for us..so hoping I can do..infact..keep us in your prayers that we can all do this.:) I will be back on July 1st..I miss my mom and the thought of never speaking to her again is very hard..but I know she is truly happy and at peace and I know I will see her again someday..so that brings me some peace..

Okay onto a brighter subject..this little one above has certainly stolen our hearts..she is just so much fun to be around..a total character..she is into everything..Okay for the title in the post..we have decided to change her name as hubby just didn't like Thelma..I do..but I want us both to be happy..so I talked to my little sister and she didn't like Thelma either..I thought she would..she mentioned Lucy Lou..so there you have it folks..she is offically Lucy Lou Cooper:)

the funny thing about her name is Hubby comes home and talks like Ricky Ricardo and says: Lucy I'm home!!! so it fits..here she is bonding with the dad man..oh don't you just want to kiss those baby girl toes..

here she is in her new bed sound asleep..(she is there right now)..and the funny thing is she has slept every where the others usually sleep..she loves to give kisses and bites..a true little snuggler..she falls asleep at night on my chest..then when I turn over I put her next to me..

This was taken this morning..she decided to explor the garbage can..she got in and out of it..she is a little monkey.:)

My MoM NoVemBer 29th 1927-JuNe 22nd 2011

Hi all I just wanted to stop by and let you know my mom passed away quietly and peacefully at 12:21pm today..It was unexpected as I talked to her on sunday night and all seemed well..but she had developed Pnemonia again and was having a hard time breathing and her heart just gave out on her..I will be gone from Sunday to Sunday..I would appreciate your prayers for a safe journey home and keeping us all sane..I know my mom is in a better place now and is with our Heavenly Father and her son that she hasn't seen in 47 years..so I know she is looking forward to that..She was a trooper with all that she has had to deal with...the loss of her son at the age of 2 (I was 8 months old) 2 kidney transplants, and she just kept fighting..She brought all of us kids back together and thats all she wanted..and I will say I am thankful for my brothers and sisters...Thank you all for your kindness and friendships..you all mean the world to me..:)

Good morning everyone!!! we are getting another beautiful glorious day..the babys are out enjoying the sunshine and I have our latest little addition asleep on my lap (see bottom photo) I would like to introduce to you (this is a name I came up with as it is quirky and makes me smile) Thelma Lou!!!this is her getting into my patterns and biting the tops of them..

this is also how she gets up on my craft table as she is still too small to jump up on it yet..she also uses my leg to get up..

exploring under my table..she can get into everything..she can get into the tighest places too.we really should have named her Dora the explorer..or curious george..she has sooooo much energy..and the big kids are getting used to her..and they now play with her somewhat..even Tucky plays with her..;)

here we were on sunday surfing for baby names..and she loves to play with the mouse all over the screen.. she is a little ham..

she has found Podys favorite spot to sleep..actually she is finding everyones favorite spots to sleep..

look at that precious face...she is hard to resist..(thats why I took her home)..

and here she is alseep on my lap..her new favorite place..she discovered it last night and was there twice..she even did it again in bed last night..then moved up towards my chest (2 nights) and then she snuggles close by my head..

Well I had a great day yesterday..the sun was shining..so I mowed the lawn..and it was a bit humid and I sweated my butt off..then I went upstairs to tidy up the garage as it looked like we were just tossing stuff in there..(I think we were) so I organized some..still gotta go through boxes and get rid of things..gotta simplify..just too much stuff..the truck will be filled up in no time..also thinking of doing a garage sale or doing the show I do every year in July..only not this year..just don't want to do it..then I went over to our next door neighbors..she just moved in the end of May..she had been out weeding all day and I went over and helped her pick some more..oh my gosh her yard looks better then mine..and you just don't know how happy that makes me..so I helped pull out more weeds just to help her along..as the stuff is getting out of control and was close to my yard..don't want that crap in my yard..they have it all barked in and it looks better then it ever has in the 16 years it has been there..

I also broke the plateau I was on..I am down....drum roll please...33 pounds down..:) well that is it for me today..I have lots of sewing to get done and a baby to entertain..and the sunshine to enjoy..I hope you all have a wonderful tuesday..hoping tomorrow to show you the 4th of july decor..nothing fancy..so don't get too excited..Take care and thanks for stopping by and to all of you that put your thinking caps on to come up with names...;)

AnD BaBy MaKeS 8!!!

Good Afternoon everyone!!! its been a long day when you are up at the buttcrack of dawn..pardon the expression..guess thats what happens when you become new parents again!!!I did get alot done by getting up at 5:30am..cleaned house, did 2 loads of laundry..fixed breakfast before hubby left for work..we had waffles and turkey bacon..oh those carbs were so good..haven't had them in at least 5 months..then started the dishwasher and then I went out and did a 30 minute workout, came in unloaded the dishwasher and was done by 10am..then we parked it on the couch (me and the new kid on the block) and we both snoozed from 11-noon..but she kept on sleeping..so I am catching up on my waltons..have 4 down and 20 more to go..lol..here is how I came to find our newest addition:

I went shopping yesterday and had to get some "poo" bags for our dog for when we are out on our walks and they had the eye candy there from the humane society..so you know I gotta look and look I did..there were sooo many cute kittens in there 6 to be exact and two adults..well this little one caught my eye because she instantly walked up to the door and was wanting to be loved..oh she was pouring it on I tell you..she was licking me and just being plain cute..well I just couldn't resist..called hubby of course first to see that it was all right..I caved...I just knew she had to come home to me..

she is making herself right at home and having fun playing with all the toys we put out for her..her sisters are a bit bent on this newby coming into their fold..but they will adjust..she was taking a snooze on the kitchen chair in the photos above..

here she is cuttin a rug..she was like the energizer bunny...she just kept going..she just had her little "girlie" surgery 2 days ago and they told me to keep her quiet..oh yea right..this is a kitten and she had plenty of play in her..

Okay we are starting to relax on the couch..and she instantly went over to hubbys side of the couch and parked it..

this was when we first brought her home..the girls Sunny on the left and Gracie on the right were checkin out their competition...and the baby wants nothing to do with that kennel..

Pody Lynn was the most receptive to this little one and seemed to do pretty well with her..but today is a different story..now Gracie is okay with her..Just okay so far..they touched noses..it is going to take a few days..she slept inbetween us all night long..I worried that hubby was going to lay on her..and he sort of did..so I didn't get much sleep..but nothing that nap couldn't fix..and I am sure I will take another tonight watching tv..

I got a really cute letter from the foster mom that came with her adoption..Her name is Aurora,

The shoe fits...I am a princess. I like to perch myself up high so that I can see the world. I love the attention, when I am being petted..I'll curl up in your lap as long as you will let me

I do enjoy playtime. I have this thing with pencils..I love to play with them. My foster mom had a whole cup full on her desk, so that became one of my favorite places..I also enjoy computer monitors and T.V. when they are turned off I like to see my own reflection in them..I sure am cute.

I have been around cats and dogs..We all get along great. I am ready for my next royal home, where I can share all my love and cuddles..

Now isn't that the cutest letter ever..

She truly loves to be loved..and purrs and kisses on the lips and just loves to snuggle..she is a great little eater..and she loves to play..
Now for the fun part of this entry..I would like help in renaming her as we just don't like the name Aurora nor do we think it fits..we have thought of 2 names..Dora the explorer and Susie (only we have a slang term for Susie) which I will not share..but its when she is being rotten..lol...so whoever comes up with the winning name will get a prize..not sure what it will be..but we want your help in naming our little one.:) my little sister thinks it should be "goody Proctor"..her hubby seen a wanted sign and this name was given to a cat they were trying to find a good home for..I think its funny..but hubby doesn't want to name her that..so get your thinking caps on and when the name fits her I will let you all know..

Thank you all for helping me out..I remember a blog that named the cute little kitty skippy..so now we need to come up with a name for my little one..
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend..ours started off looking and feeling like fall..it was over cast, rainy and foggy.I love foggy days..its still dreary out there..but I have this wee one to occupy my time..

oh I also sold my "simplify" pillow last night and I am making 2 penny rugs/mats for Tamera of country at heart doing them in americana style..of course I will show them to you after she has them of course..cause I want her to be surprised when she gets them..and I am cutting out a bunch of felt die cuts for my friend Barbara in alaska that I met on facebook..and I have to get ready for our launch for our fall celebration with the "old farmhouse gathering" bunch..it starts July 1st and on the 15th my goodies will be up on our new site primitive peddler..so I have got to get some sewing done..I need 8 hands at this point..Take care and hope all your hubbys and dads have a wonderful fathers day..

WheRe'S WaLdo...Er..The TreE?

Good Morning everyone!!! how is your thursday starting out? ours is glorious outside..and the babies are chilling in their kennel..enjoying the morning sun..This was photo was taken on monday..This is the BEFORE photo...so you can see what we did...

Here is the start of this project..we decided this was a big messy tree..that was here when we got back from italy..while I love this tree..it is starting to compete with the fir (not shown) its on the right of this photo..and it was as tall as the house..and a mess come fall..

will use this for kindling for the woodstove...

oh the mess..we drug this to the back yard and tossed it over the fence in the raw property next too us..

hubby needs to get a new blade for his chain saw and that sucker is getting lopped off..and hopefully a straight cut..I will put a pot on it..

you can see the entire house now..it just opened up the space and it seems lighter now..O)

what do you think?..next on the cut down list is the holly tree..that is one messy prickly tree..and it is outta here..the only draw back of the tree missing is the upper left window you can see in now..so no more running down the stairs naked at night..or at the very least..half dressed..lol.;)not a site that anyone wants to witness anyway.;)

Yesterday I went and got my orthodics for my feet..they are wonderful..test drove them last night for an evening walk..and my foot didn't hurt..so then onto Joanns yesterday..they had alot of stuff on sale..and I couldn't pass up the fabric isle..so I purschased this fabric..I am in love with them all but mostly that home sweet american home..it was 50% off..going to make some prairie dolls and embroider this cutest thing on their aprons..:) can't wait..stay tuned..

I also picked up some more felt..as a gal that I met on facebook is having me cut out die cuts for her felting projects..so I picked up some more..

I love this darling fabric..we are doing a service project for the little african girls at our church tonight..we are making T-shirt dresses..so I picked this up for my friend who couldn't make it..but wanted to contribute..

I am contributing this whole basket (yes there is a basket under there) of fleece..just not using it and its going to a good cause..

while waiting at the orthodics appt. yesterday..i was pulling out recipes from a country woman magazine 2010..and thought I would share this recipe since the 4th of July is almost upon us..

well on my way home..I stopped by the shoe store that deals with support issues..this is a spendy store..but their stuff works..I just had to have these sneakers..and my orthodics work in them..

and I got a pair of dress/church shoes.I have sandels ..but these would be great for winter....as my feet get cold..so that is it..tomorrow I share my 4th of July decor..it is truly nothing fancy..just slapped together and simple....I hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks as always for stopping by.
