AHHhhHH WoNdeRfuL GloRioUs MoNdaY..;)

Good Morning everyone!!! hope you had a great weekend..Hubby is off on saturdays now till probably May then its back to Tuesday - Saturdays again..so getting used to having him home..but he is the weekend Breakfast maker..and this weekend I got spoiled..will tell you more about it down in the post..Saturday I started this little pillow above..I used a chestnut junction pattern and this is what I came up with..remember those penny rug fabrics..I think the brown one will be used for the backing of this pillow..this will go up on my etsy site when it is finished.;)

I finished up my americana penny rug and it is posted in my etsy if anyone is interested..I have made 10 penny type items since christmas...and I am looking for my next project today.;) I am hooked..

On Friday hubby came home with 5 fresh crabs from the same guy that gave him some last year...he caught too many and asked hubby if he wanted them..heck yea..hubby priced these at the store and they are pretty spendy..so this was a nice treat..so hubby found a good recipe from Paula Dean no doubt and made us to die for crab cakes..we made 13 of them with left overs to make something else..so I took my good pal Sarah over 6..oh I wish I had smellavision..you would have loved these..although they are alot of work..hubby said it was all worth it..he spent 6 hours preparing these as he had to cook them..and then get the meat out of them..we don't have the proper tools..guess I need to get him some..we used red pepper and no dipping sauce and I used canola oil..

when I was dropping off Sarahs crab cakes she was showing me her organized craft room and she pulled out this sweet dress and offered it to me..I think I am going to stain this and hang it up.;)

she also gave me a hankie..here is the detail on it..well the sun is finally making its appearance..it is supposed to be nice this week...might lay another truck load of bark..will see how that goes..gotta get little Po-Po out for sure and load up those food dishes for the squirrels and birds..she has to have something to look at while she's out there..

800th PosT...You Know What ThaT MeAns.>)

Good evening everyone..;) how the heck are you? I hope your weekend is off to a great start..I went and did some running around yesterday and it felt good to get out of the house. I don't go out that much..cause I would rather be at home..doing my sewing or blogging.;) so I decided since the weather was decent I would get my running around done and groceries done too..I wanted to show you what I have been working on..I started these two penny rugs last year and never finished them...so at night on the couch I am sewing on the pennys..I am almost done with the one above..

I finished this one up last night and took it to my luncheon today to show the girls what I have been up too..and my friend Mindee loved the colors and she just had to have it.;) so I guess I will make more of these as I love the colors too..but I will add a different halloween design..I have several I am itching to stitch out..so that will give me something to do at night too..the pennys may change colors as I don't have that purple..but something similiar..I love the mustard background and it has the same for the backing../

I made rocky road brownies for today..we also had chicken enchiladas..oh they were so good..I brought home more for our dinner tonight..so I don't need to cook..gotta love leftovers...

I was surfing ebay for penny rug ideas and or patterns and for some wool..and came across these 3 pieces of fabric..I love it...so I got a yard of each..I want to make penny rug pillows and use this as the backing...I love these..;)

I stopped at walmart to get these whisk brooms....

because I found this wonderful pattern on ebay that I purchased and the broom came with it..so I am going to make a bunch of these and use my own designs as well and sale these..I am so excited about these..of course I will be keeping this one...cause it has a cat after all.;>)

I also picked up this movie at walmart for $5.00..it was one of my favorites as a kid and I had a crush on Stewart Peterson as a kid...he was in Tiger beat and I wrote him a letter telling him I loved him..we are the same age..I never did hear back from him..lol..;)

I also picked me up this new and bigger food processor..I have a little one and I have to do things in batches..what a pain..so I picked this one up and put the other one away for my garage sale..I was moving stuff around in my drawers and sliced my first finger (my sewing finger) on my mandolin..oh boy did it bleed..I didn't think I would be able to sew last night..but I got in my rythem and my finger is just fine...it bled for a while though...damn mandolin..those things are sharp...

Hey Linda if you are reading this..can you see your penny rug? yes Sillie Millie decided to lay down on it...but you can sort of see it...lol.;) I promise you will love it.;)

I forgot to take some photos of the other stuff Linda sent me...she gave me these americana items..I don't do americana that much in my home..but my little sister sure does..so she will be getting these for her birthday...she loves and decorates in americana.;)

Gooooood Afternoon!!!! Hey everyone..sorry its been a while since I have posted.been busy I guess or had nothing important..on Tuesday night I decided to try out a new recipe..I have been watching some really good cooking programs lately..like Alex's day off and Mad hungry..and I love both of these gals..well this one is by Alex's day off and I will tell you it is heaven..it is Eggplant Parmigiana and there is a bit of prep work..but so worth it..we had it last night as leftovers and there is still some left..give it a shot..;)

This is what I woke up to this morning..last night I could hear the Ferry fog horns at around 1am..so it must have been foggy even then..I do so love me a foggy morning..;)

This is what I did yesterday..we had a gorgeous day and on days like this, ya gotta pounce on them..so I picked up a load of park that I paid for back in November...this is the side portion in the front yard..some of you will remember..I ripped this all out last fall..and the last thing to go is the big holly tree..love it..but don't love the mess..might turn this into a veggie garden..or container one..

it feels so good to have it all done..;) I also get a 1/2 yard of bark for free because of all we purchased last year...so I will add to that 1/2 yard and get a full yard and finish up in the back..might tackle it this weekend if the weather permits.;) this really helps keep the weeds down..and that is great because on all 4 sides of me..they don't care about taking care of their yards..so this helps..I haven't been out all winter and there are no weeds..one here or there..but not hours of work..so I have my jump start to spring..and this is also a great time to bark before anything has peeked its way up through..much harder to do this job when the plants are big..this way I can just dump..and dump I did..this took pretty much the full yard..took me 3 hours..

I barked this portion in our back yard..these are all primroses, one hydranga and a couple of foxgloves..the primroses are already starting to bloom..;)

This is another part I barked in..still have behind the tree to do..I have forget me knots and lavendar plants here..my tulips are starting to peek out in the terracotta pot in the upper right corner of the photo..

That big Rhodie in the front there is going..I a flowering apple tree and it is crowding it..I have 2 other rhodies..if I can get this out root and all I will replant..but I kind think its just going to be cut down..there is another tree off to the right (not shown) that is going as well..not sure what it is..but it creates a huge mess..and I am tired of cleaning up messes and raking all those leaves..I need simplicity..;)

my helebore is in bloom in the front yard..

here are my chives in the garden..they are sprouting...it won't be long till I get the garden tilled and ready for planting..probably by march 1st..;) I love a clean tidy yard..it is still wet but lots of things are coming up..including the grape hyachinths, and autumn joy has little buds in the ground..I do love spring to see all that is coming back..

Yesterday when I came home from picking up my bark..I had 2 packages from my good pal Linda of Parkers Paradise..she and I are doing a swap..I am making her a penny rug and a rolling pin sleeve..almost done with the penny rug..she sent me these two absolutely to die for repro firkins..that are actually ice buckets..she redid them..and Linda you outdid your self!!! I am so in love with the colors..I hope to add to these in graduated sizes..I took off the lid of the mustard colored one and the red one fits purfectely on it.;)

she also had these packed with lots of goodies..I forgot to take photos of the little bags that smell wonderful..but she sent all of this...

I love those little stained socks.she sent glasses..not sure how to use those yet..and rusty bells and rusty keys..

and I love all of these copper molds..each one is different..guess I need to try my hand at those pantry cakes..Thank you so much Linda..you totally spoiled me rotten..;) I will have your stuff out by next week.;)

I have to show you who is in my room with me everyday..my little Sunny Bunny.;) she is truly my little blogging/couch buddy...she reminds me of one of those baby seals....

and then I look down and she is inching closer to me..speaking of which..she just walked in the room again for a quick pet and a love..oh she loves to be loved.;)

Here is our baby Po-po..she loves to eat the raffia on my carrots that are sitting on the table..she's always chewing on something..the little stinker..she got to go out yesterday to enjoy nature..hoping to get her out again today..to enjoy the day.;)...it is starting to get sunny..well its trying anyway...haven't decided if I want to go pick up a few grocerys or not..Tomorrow we have a luncheon with some gals from church...I am making rocky road brownies and my friend is making chicken enchiladas...;) should be tasty...I am on facebook where you can sell stuff on line..I sold 5 of my patterns so far..so I will be digging into my craft stash and putting more up there.. I have way tooooo much and it needs to go...its called Just prim Yard Sales..;) check it out..you will become addicted..) I have a few things to share hopefully tomorrow..I purchased some neat fabric on ebay and a really neat penny rug pattern..I am so excited to get this one started..cause I know all of you will want one..;) I hope you all have a great thursday..and thanks for stopping by and saying he and welcome to my newest followers..oh and my next post is my 800th.;)..so I gotta get something for my giveaway..its going to be bingo again..I love playing bingo..;)

Good Monday to you all!!! I have had a great weekend..Remember this sneek peek I gave you the other day....

Well what do you think of it now!!! its exactly how I imagined it..I love this..I started it friday nite and finished it up sunday morning...:)

notice the buttons on the sides..they are layered to look like pennys.;) and I stitched the sides very prim like..wanted it to look handmade..

my crow from my sizzix..the letters came from my girlfriends cricut..she cut me a bunch of letters out and I traced them onto wool felt..I can't wait to start another one..if anyone wants a custom one with a certain word let me know. I was asked if these are my own designs..some are and some are not..I try to add the artist when its not mine..I love to surf to get inspiration and then mix and match them..:)

I love it here with my penny rug..looks right at home..I will be listing this on Etsy just as soon as I am done here..

I did this one on saturday..another design from Robin of Bird in the hand primitives..i need to make the chick doll that goes with this..those are colored eggs..with my new felt that I just got..

last but not least..I started this one on saturday.(the machine embroidery) and did the pennys and border last night..again another pattern by Robin...and you will notice this is her header picture..:) these will all be listed on etsy probably today..

My party on Saturday went well and would't you know it..I left my camera at home..there was so much food to try..and it will be a nice addition to my already growing food supply..all the freeze dried food was awesome..and she had a great idea on using your food supply...she took a plastic bag with handles..(she gets these on U-line) and she purchased clear pockets to stick to the front of the bag..so she can put the recipe in it..she numbers her bags 1-6 and puts the expiration on it as well..she then takes ingredients for the recipe (with her food storage stuff) and puts them in seperate zip lock baggies and then puts them in one of those seal a meal deal things and then sucks the air out of it and then puts it in the bag..she also might put in canned veggies or beans that are called for in the recipe..but all sh needs to do is pull down one of the bags and she has dinner..just add water..this party place has freeze dried meat and she made us chicken salad and put it on a triscut..it was to die for..tasted like fresh meat..it was wonderful..so I am getting some meat to add to my food storage..they have powdered butter, powdered tomato, powdered egg..you add 2 tablespoons water to 2 tablespoons egg powder to equal one egg..great for baking..they have dried fruit, dried veggies..freezedried and dehydrated..and how many of you throw away celery or any other veggies? I just did the morning of my party..well no more..just toss them in your soups and they last for about 2 years opened..the shelf life of most of this stuff is 20-30 years unopened in cooler conditions..and you can use it now..and add to your growing storage...this is just common sense that we have food storage to fall back on should you lose a job or accident etc..or earthquakes etc..if you are interested in learning more about it go to shelf reliance and check out what they have. if you want to be put on my party..I need your email address and I will send it to my consultant..she will send you an email with a temporary password that you can change..so check your junk mail..if you want to order you can and I get credit for it..and shipping is reasonable too..if you buy 190+ its only 15.99 in shipping..that is great..okay so that is it for me..I hope you all have a great day..going downstairs now and get the house cleaned and mopped..hubby is at work and so is Tucker..and grabbing me a bite to eat..have a wonderful week a head..:)
