PuMpkiN ChiP MuFFinS, ToWeLs, MaGaZineS, and MoRe PuMpkiNs..oH MY..;)

Hey there everyone..it is has been a busy week..sorry for not posting as much as I do and so late in the day..but hey better late then never I always say..this is my 701th post!!
Okay on Monday I had a serious sweet craving so I baked at 9:30pm at night cause I had to fill that craving..and being in a fall mood too I made pumpkin chip muffins..and I doubled the recipe so I could give hubby some to take to work as the folks that live aboard the boats there love my baking..and I love sharing the calories too..I took some to one of the gals in our church when we went visiting on tuesday...and it was in a cake pan cause I ran out of glass muffin cups...it made about 20 muffins and an 8x8 pan of it..:) I will share the recipe at the end of the post..I have shared this several times..but it is soooo tasty and I have new followers that might want to sample the recipe..;)
Wednesday after my doctors appt..I had to wait for a prescription to be filled so I did some window shopping and then at Rite aid (not sure if you have one in your town or not) but they had a sale on their fall decorating..50% of..so I purchased 4 sets of these wonderful fall colored towels...I will embroider on these and put them on my etsy site.. and a set will go in my newly redone bathroom too.;) I already tried them on the towel rack next to the one I made and they look so good there.;)nice soft micro fiber towels..they wash up nicely too.:)
I also picked up the better homes and garden magazine as a couple of our fellow blogger and artist friends are in here and sharing patterns of things for us to make..and the magazine on the right has some wonderful recipes in it..I was reading it last night in bed...will have to share some of the recipes that I found..and they all seem to be pretty easy to make..:) I picked up some other fall type items..but they are for swaps that I am doing and I can't share with you all yet till they get their packages.;)
Yesterday I also received my giveaway winnings from Marilyn from Mt's Whimsey's..I love these little apples..but have decided to send them to my little sister as she does americana decorating and she will love these..she will get the basket too.;)
and the kitty is hanging in my craftroom for me to enjoy...looks right at home doesn't he.;) Thank you again Marilyn..these are wonderful..:)
okay a sneek peek as to what I was working on yesterday.;) more pumpkins..the lighter colored ones are actually glow in the dark..you can see the little owl has a glow about him..I need to put the tops on them and they are done..I have about 13 more to make with different designs on them..and they will go on my etsy site next weekend..;) as we are doing a celebration with the gals from OFG..but if anyone is interested in one in the mean time..let me know..:)
I am having a blast making these..they are so much fun as the pictures really pop due to the velvet.;)
Well that is it for me..going to go and sew and get some more done..
here is that recipe I promised you.:)

Pumpkin Chip Muffins

4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 can (16 ounces) pumpkin
1-1/2 cups vegetable oil or applesauce (makes them healthier)
3 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar, pumpkin, and oil (or applesauce) until smooth..Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt; add to pumpkin mixture and mix well..Fold in chocolate chips..Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups 3/4 full.. Bake at 400 degrees for 16-20 minutes (any fuller and you have to bake longer or they are gooey in the center)..or test until done.
Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack..Yield: about 24 standard size muffins.;)

Okay have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by to say hey!!!;)

Hello everyone...how is everyone this beautiful Wednesday morning? It is beautiful here...the leaves are starting to fall though and the sun is setting a different way..it feels like fall in the mornings especially..although I am enjoying this weather...Okay yesterday I went to Joanns after dropping hubby off for his Drs. appt and list in hand I hit the fabric dept..not expecting to find some really cute fabrics..but I did..these above not sure what I will use them on..or I will just use the thanksgiving one on my table till I decide..they had some cute fabrics there yesterday and I am a sucker for more fabric...lol..
these will be used in my pumpkin making...love them..
chenille on the left to make "sugar" pumpkins, and orange velvet on the right to make pumpkins...this was on clearance for $7.00 a yard so I picked up 2 yards..:)
fall/halloween ribbon....
cupcake holders..Love the crow ones..I am having to partys soon..so will make cupcakes and use these...
more thread for my embroidery machine and to see up pumpkins with..;)
joanns is getting a whole new "martha stewart" line in..and I coudn't resist these treat bags..will give out bags of treats to my party guests for my partys...
They had these really neat stencils there that help you to shade stuff in layers..I love this..and I can use these to make "blocks" with ...
here is the larger one opened so you could see whats inside..;)
the directions on how to use your stencils etc..;)can't wait to use these..need to get hubby to cut me some wood.;)
Well I put the orange velvet to good use yesterday...I embroidered this design onto it..and it is an "embossed" design so it gives it a 3-d effect...and I love it..;)
really makes the words pop off the pumpkin..:)
I gathered some of my little pinecones from my yard and used one of my dried stems and waaallaah!! a pumpkin...I love how this one turned out..I have 4 more designs to do.. a witch, a crow, a pumpkin and a scary cat...when I get home from my drs. appt today..I will be making more of these little beauties...the fabric is cut...just waiting for me to embroider and sew em up...I will be listing these on etsy for our Fall Celebration that we are doing...but will probably list this one today...;) I can't wait that long..so I must go and get ready..I hope you all have a fabulous day..;)
oh and don't forget to help that Sick little Kitty Mia..the donations bar is on my side bar....;) post it on your blog too.;) Thank you again for helping.;)

The stars glow in the dark..as you can sort of see here.;)
I love how this one turned out..the thread colors go so well with the fabric.;)
and a witch flying off with a full moon in her background..;) I made the tags too..they are stained shipping tags with dried orange slices and cinnamon sticks..I made something else but I can't share that as it is for a swap I am doing that needs to be mailed out today..but will be tomorrow as I have some more to make for it..I still have lots to get done for swaps..so that will happen this week..;)

well hubby tore apart the table yesterday...we have a little bit of work to do on it as we want it to last and be well done..when he pulled it apart it said Hastings Table company on it..and the top was so heavy that he could't lift it it..it is solid antique oak..but whoever was trying to fix it did a poor job on it..so we are going to redo it..will take pictures of the process..;) so hubby is off at the shooting range and I am going to meet him at home depot to pick up stuff for the table..hopefully we can work on it today..I want it done and in my dining room...;) I am too impatient...but if I want it to be done right..I will have to wait.:) I am only one 1 post away from being 700 posts..:) wow!! and what fun it has been to get to know so many of you and learn that we have so much in common with one another...and I have developed some really close kinships with some of you.... and hope to meet you someday soon..Have a wonderful week and I hope your day is off to a great start..:)

FLooR TuToRiaL, PiP GarLanDs, & PuMpKin DoNe..

TGIF!!! I was supposed to do this tutorial on wednesday and I forgot..so here goes..above is the old flooring..remove your toilet (ours was in the tub)..take off baseboards etc..
take some packing paper ( you can buy this at your hardware store) and make a template of the old floor..We then took the template outside to the garage and laid down the new stuff and then put the template on top of it and cut it out..cut slowly and as precise as you can..you want to get a good cut..and you might need to trim some away as you go..get a good box cutter exato knife for this..
clean the old flooring of any grease, hair products, cleaning products etc..I just used a couple of paper towels and the above item..it has a slight kerosene odor..it will disapate..I turned on the fan and had the window open..then we laid the flooring for the fit to make sure its where we wanted it..
then we took a trowel with the grated edge (like you use with tile) and buttered the floor with it.. shown below
not too thick..we started in the back up by the toilet and worked our way down...I held the piece up while he buttered it...(it helps to have 2 people for this job..
take this fancy roller when you are all done to smooth out the bubbles etc..
like shown here..we did this a couple of times...we let this dry overnight before we put then new wax ring on the toilet and then put the toilet back on..then you need to make sure you got a good fit on the toilet..by placing paper towels around the bottom and in as far as you can..if you have no leakage...you have a good fit and can caulk around it..and the tub too..I hope this helps anyone doing linoleum flooring...this was easier to do then the beadboard..;)and the floor in this bathroom was only $23.00...

I ordered some tear drop garlands from Brittany over at My Dusty Attic and I can't wait to use these in my projects that I have in my head..will post when I get the items made..
and with every purchase you get 2 wax tarts...you can see one is missing as I couldn't wait to get it in my burner...I have blueberry cobbler and banana bread..and within minutes of putting the blueberry cobbler in my pot..my whole house smelled soooooo good...and it is downstairs and I could smell it up in my craft room...I will be back to get more..they are wonderful..;)Thank you Brittany..;)

I finished up another pumpkin yesterday..and it is posted on my Etsy as we speak.. I am having so much fun making these...and I have pulled out more embroidery designs in which to put on these pumpkins...Well I am off to tidy up the house and start on some other projects...the weather feels like fall here yesterday and today..a bit nippy..;) but it burns off by afternoon..just like fall weather..;) I hope you all have a great weekend..and thanks for stopping by and welcome to my newest followers.;)
