Hello my fellow bloggers!!! more pansies to plant..(read below)

you ask why I took a photo of my dogs bones..well I was in cleaning mode..(trying to get the house all tidyed up before my surgery tomorrow)..and his box was feeling awefully heavy..so I took out all of his bones..and do you know how many he had? 27..it was looking like a graveyard in that box..so now he has 2..and his rawhides...he loves to chew on his bones...and he will search in in box for just the right one to chew on...sorry I just had to post this..we are keeping better track now of his bones..I had no idea my dog was a hoarder..lol..

I decided to hang up this wonderful quilt that Kimberly of my brown bag studio made me last year..I just don't want it to get dirty sitting on my table..so I had an empty spot on the wall and here ya go..

looks pretty nice there I think..will change it out come christmas cause thats where the stockings get hung.;)

I just got these latest sizzix in the mail today..can't wait to encorporated them in my stitching..I got the wave, sand or snow, and grass..

This one came in the mail just the other day....

so I made this last night..:) I have another one to make the colors are just the opposite..it will probably be a cherry pie..

this will be going in my etsy shoppe shortly..:) I have another one I am working on..it has a sheep and a bunny in it..will start that one tonight..

well its been a busy couple of days..I mailed off 5 packages of goodies to my blogging buddys and then took Tucker for a walk..it was such a good walk too..my knee didn't hurt me and neither did my blisters...then I cam home and worked in the yard..burning my weeds what little there was and then worked for an hour next door because its all creeping back and I don't want it in my yard..and I planted my little pansys..they look so nice. (see first photo).

Today I scrubbed the house top to bottom..cleaned, mopped and dusted..I can honestly say I would rather clean toilets then dust..I hate dusting..and its my own fault cause I have so many treasures to dust..so suck it up buttercup..and I headed in to town for a hair trim..oh she does such a cute job..wish she could style it everyday for me..and it needed to be trimmed too..now I can sit back on the couch and recover with a cute do..;) still gotta finish vacuuming and putting clothes away..don't want to have to worry about anything while I am laid up..and now hubby won't either..he can just do the normal cleaning and cooking..and tonight he is bring home Thai food..oh yum..its been a while...told him to get something healthy for us..I have lost more weight..I am down 15 pounds now..and I can't tell you how great I feel....my clothes fit better..I walk taller..I just feel great..feel like I lost 30... well I don't know when I will be back to blogging..hopefully on monday..cause I will miss you all too much.. I have hubbys lap top..so I will use it to surf and leave comments..:) thank you all for the wonderful support and prayers you have thrown my way..it truly means alot and I love you all and love the kinship we all share here in blog land...we are a unique, caring group..and I am glad to be a part of it with you all.;) take care and I will talk to you again soon..:)

Good Morning everyone!!! hope your tuesday is off to a great start..it is chilly and rainy today..so not going walking again today..hoping to get out a couple of times this week..but not sure due to the weather..I hate walking in cold nasty weather..so going to build a fire and watch my recorded programs and sew..I have some ideas up my sleeve of what I want to make..so gotta get them cut out and then I am set..I took this photo just moments ago...Sunny is my little blogging buddy..maybe she needs to start blogging or be a guest blogger sometime..she is sitting right next to me..you can see my flower pjs..;) when I go down stairs she will follow me..and sit on my lap while I sew..:) I love these babies of ours..they bring such joy into our lives..and she is a love child..loves to be held, kissed and cuddled..if I ignore her..she will tap me on my arm till she gets my attention..she nurses hubbys neck..has since she was a baby...her tail gets all fluffy and the purrs are out of this world..and she drools on his neck..it is most precious!!!

I made some cute wool felt owls..I finished this one up yesterday....

and this one this morning..they are door stops...they are weighted with those white pellets you get at the craft store..I love how they turned out and want to make more....

here is the dynamic duo together..they will be going in my etsy shoppe when I am done here..

I got another order of sizzix in the mail yesterday..I can't wait to start using these..I have ideas swirling around my head..can't wait to use both of these..love the gingerbread house..

a puppy and a little campfire..going to make it a fire with a fireplace and stockings hanging and a tree nearby..doesn't this sound wonderful..can't wait to start it...but I have an idea for a very good blogging buddys birthday that I need to start..the idea just hit me a couple of minutes ago..I am so excited to start it and hope its like I envision.;)

well that is it for me today..I hope you all have a great day today..thank you for all the wonderful comments and support throughout this kidney ordeal..I went to the doctors yesterday for my knee..said theres really nothing to be done..unless its so bad I can't stand the pain..right now it only hurts walking down hill..so hopefully with exercise and weightloss it should improve..he said the kidney stones are going to be painful..so not looking forward to the next couple of weeks..when I actually start passing them..will keep you posted,...just hope they give me great painkillers to help with that..and I hope to be able to go walking..just don't want to be kept down..I just gotta trust in the lord that he will take great care of me..:)

GoODiEs In The MaiL and MoRe TweAkinG...

Good Afternoon everyone!!!! its a beautiful day in the neighborhood today..but staying put and taking it easy today..as much as I want to get out and go for a walk today..I have blisters that keep reopening..and I just need to take a break..walked every day this week..except for today..yesterday I got some more of my sizzix goodies in the mail..will share those tomorrow and these wonderful blackened items..a bunny and some eggs..they came from Old Goat Prims..I love how great these smel..oh they are divine.;)and I love how she packages up her goodies..:)

Here is where I put it..I took a bowl that I primmed up and placed it on my kitchen counter.:)

so much for keeping the counters clutter free..hey I gotta have something there..I knew it wouldn't last...lol..I love it there..simple and sweet and oh so prim..:) indeed...

well my strawberry curtains were driving me nuts..so I put them in the downstairs bathroom...and took these and put them back in the kitchen where they belong..I can open them up further to let more light in..and I love looking out my window at my veggie garden and my flowers that I just recently planted..oh I purchased more flowers to plant there..some pansys..need to get more to put in my hanging pots off of my clothesline in the back yard..Maggie notice my wash cloth on my faucet..)

so I put the strawberry curtains in the bathroom..like them much better because they are tied back with wrought iron holders..:)

today I decided to make a new recipe..it is from Barefoot contessa..it is baked granola..( it looks burnt..but it is nice and golden brown)..I am waiting for it to cool so I can add the dried fruit and cashews to it and then put it in an airtight container..might have to have some of it tomorrow for breakfast..:)

I just had to take some photos of my sunny bunny..she is my computer blogging buddy..she sits here really close to the computer and needles my lap..she is just relaxing right now..

and here we are in full needle mode..;) and me in my pjs..:) well I am off to finish up some projects and get some others started..I stayed home from church today as well to stay away from any illnesses that might be out there..I gotta be well to get my surgery this upcoming friday..they are only doing the one kidney..guess its protocol as they don't do both incase they damage a kidney I still have a working kidney..how's that for a comforting thought? I am nervous..don't want to get this done..but its got to happen so that it doesn't do further damage..so trying to be positive etc...:) please keep me in your prayers that all goes well.;) I hope you all have a wonderful sunday....and.....

Good Morning everyone!! how is your saturday so far? I think mine will be a lazy one..with a walk mixed in..I have walked every day this week..but my hips are paying for it..not sure why they are hurting only in bed at night..not sleeping well at all..but I gotta keep on truckin to get this weight off and hope down the road the pain stops..Earlene had asked about my garden trellis..so here are some up close photos so you can see how it is made.I couldn't tell you as my hubby built it..but the window and the 2 front columns are the only antiques here..the rest is lumber we purchased at the store..we did paint it in oil based paint to protect the wood as the 2 front ones were really weathered and paint was chipping..I string up my halloween lights and christmas lights..

there is still glass in some of the panes on both sides..my girlfriend had given me these windows and they sat for years..then we or should say hubby had his light bulb moment..I purchased the 2 front columns and knew I wanted a trellis..but then it all came together..

I have two trailing plants on either side to trail up and over..so far these two plants are struggling..can't remember their names..hate when I can't remember..I add old garden gloves with succulents and hang them off this and I hang hanging planters here too with flowers..must do this again..;)

I used liquid nails "outdoor" glue to put the rocks on the bottom..I love my garden gate..the gate itself was designed by a young gal and her parents have the metal cutting gear etc and made this for me..I love my garden gate..it will go with me if we pack up and move..(which I don't see happening anytime soon)..;)

I did a valentine swap back in January/february..and the gal I did it with forgot..made excuse after excuse..I asked for my things back..sorry..but if you sign up..either do it or back out and give the other person notice..while she didin't send back all my stuff..I got the sheep back (in my etsy shoppe now) and she sent me these goodies..

this is where I put the bunny..the spray is in my laundry room..it is a christmas scent..one of my favorites..and the chocolate is on my craft table when I need a taste of chocolate..;)

this is where the little bag of goodies and the heart went..it does smell really good.;)

I have been ordering some more sizzix dies to make my folkart pillows, hangings and penny rugs with..I have another order coming soon..I got some great deals on ebay..gotta love ebay for the deals..they can't be beat..;)

can't wait to use the tree for spring and summer.

an owl in a haunted tree..I will show more of these as I get them...well I went to the doctors yesterday for my pre-screening..they are only doing the one kidney..the left one..guess it is precautionary only to do the one..if anything happens to it..I still have the second one..gosh I had no idea that was a possibility..not looking forward to this procedure as I don't like being laid up..but hoping it is a breeze and I am not in a lot of pain..any way everything went well..it is a beautiful hospital and clean and orderly..really impressed.:) so that is comforting.;) I went to my friends shelf relience party last night..and sampled more of the goodies..the brownie mix is awesome..I have that already..but got to taste them last night..with some of the raspberrys made into a sauce with a hint of whip cream on top..oh YUM!!!..they also had taco soup that was made completely from the food storage..couldn't tell it was food storage..it was good..and I talked a couple into having a party..I told them how well I did..so they are doing one as well..I am ordering more of the strawberries, raspberries and some other goodies..I have 2 more parties to go to..so will get a few things to add to my food storage..

not sure if I mentioned this in a previous post..I asked hubby what he meant about stores only having 3 days of food and this is what he said:The average grocery store stocks approximatively 3 normal shopping days of food by this they mean if a store did not receive any deliveries within 3 normal shopping days the shelves would be empty, this does not account for panic buying where stores have been emptied within a couple of hours when hurricane are predicted to come ashore, If we had a big natural disaster there is a good chance the stores would be bought or looted empty within a few hours.

I don't know about you..but I want to have my own stock on hand and get the food now while pricing is still affordable..folks we have started seeing prices going up..and we may not be able to afford to buy any food..so I say get prepared now..as the food in your freezer will only last so long..but this canned food storage will last up to 30 years..(opened only a 1+ year)..but you get the idea..
