PaSSinG A KiDnEy StoNe Can Be A HuGe PaiN..

Good morning everyone..sorry I have been MIA for a couple of days..it all started on tuesday at 11:30am..the pain just kind of hit me..and did leave till yesterday afternoon sometime..I have never had this kind of pain in my life before and my doctor told me that women would rather give birth then pass a kidney stone..I will have to agree, although I have never had kids..the pain never let up..just glad I had good pain pills..I still feel bloated today..and urinating was a bit on the slow side..still haven't passed this stone..but I feel tremendously better..Hubby even stayed home, (thats how much pain I was in)..so we decided to do our taxes yesterday..they are done thank goodness and we are even getting something back..not much but its better then nothing..above is what I had been working on..haven't done anything in 3 days..haven't felt up to it..so today I am getting something to work on..the small one will go on a towel the other two into pillows..
here is another die I got in the mail the other day..can't wait to use this at christmas time..;)
these just came yesterday..can you picture a wonderful winter scene with trees, gifts, other deer frolicking about..
I love this little fruit one..it has an apple (which was used on the apple pie embroidery..and it has a pear and a raspberry/blackberry one....
I was on Misi's blog the other day and she had made some plant markers out of old spoons..and she used this little letter stamping alphabet..so I just had to have one..so I can mark my veggies in the garden..love this idea..now i gotta go thrift shopping for old spoons..hammer them out and stamp the letter on with a hammer..I got these from harbor freight on line..they were $4.99 plus shipping of $6.99...well nothing else is going on here..got caught up on alot of my tv as that is about the only thing I have done..the housework has been done..lets not get crazy..but the last 3 days have been decent outside and I have been stuck inside..and today looks like rain..so inside again..but that is okay..at least I feel up to do a bit of sewing today..I hope you all have a wonderful day today..thanks for your kind thoughts etc..:) I have been reading everyones blog..just not commenting like I like..:) take care and have a wonderful thursday;)

  10. I can't wait to see your spoon markers. I bought the same set at Harbor Freight last year, but I haven't used them yet. Did you see the forks I put in my flower pots? I was going to stamp something on the bottom of them, but ended up just sticking them in there as is.

  13. Sorry about the pain and the kidney stone. Never had one, but did birth 3 kids and the pain does go away once the kidlet comes out! Plus all my labors were relatively short less than 14 hours for the longest and he was induced.

I did see the plant markers and need to venture over to harbor freight and pick up a set of those stamps.

Hope things get better for you.

  15. OH Gina I feel for you my hubby suffers with these, and if you ever saw one through a micoscope you would freak out they have tiny barbs all over them and when they travel through a tube it rips at it and yes any doctor will tell you it is as close to natural child birth as a man will ever fill.
take care hope you are feeling much better soon

  17. I TOTALLY understand your pain. I had 2 C sections, My jaw bone split and wired for 2 months and gall stones. When I had a kidney stone it beat the pain of all the rest. I am glad they gave you happy drugs. Hope you pass it soon.

  18. Oh how I remember the pain. I did tell my doctor I would rather go through chidbirth than this. I had 4 babies. I still carry a few pain pills every where I go. Those nasty stones have sharp points. I had them in bothe kidney's. To large to pass & one stuck blocking urine. Could not do the blast thing. Miserable. Surgery & complications unreal. I pray you & never have to go through it again. So glad to hear hubby was by your side. Prayers for fast relief & recovery. Blessings!

  21. *****i too symphatize with you...i've had them and i'm an ob/gyn too. decrease your caffeine
intake or stop chewing tums for calcium and ALWAYS carry motrin in
your purse. once you have had a kidney stone you will always know the advance warning signs...so pop a motrin immediately. motrin is in the same drug category as those used to relax the kidney so that the stone(s) will pass. you will feel the affects of the stone but
the pain will not be there...good
luck and if they persist get a good
urologist!!! this is what they call back labor......ouch!!!
