I had to do a photo shoot for a towel I made so I decided to leave my beskep stuff and crows in the little cabinet..I also added an amish cook book behinde the yellow ware bowls..

This cute little beeskep towel is listed in my etsy as we speak.;)

I also added this little ensemble to the etsy site..you get everything you see here..the towel, grater and metal crow...

a great pillow for dad or hubby or grandpa..anyone that loves fishing and telling big stories.:)

and last but not least..the sheep towel..great for a laundry room....well I am back to sewing..making the prairie bonnets..;) have a good one.:)

NeW QuiLt CrAnE HanGer...

This is the Surprise I was telling you about!! I ordered this from Firecracker Kid and I love love love the work she and her hubby does!!! This arrived at my door step yesterday and I talked hubby into hanging it up for me after a hard days work in building me a planter box in the back yard to put my lilac bush and some strawberry plants in..I will share photos of it when it is complete and planted..I gotta go and pick up the dirt today to fill in the big box..Anyway he helped me hang the crane and the peg board..and I love how prim the peg board is too..I couldn't wait to decorate this up..my living room is now complete..hubby did ask if I had anymore wall space and I told him I was finished..it really helps the t.v. not look so out of place..I can't wait to decorate this up for christmas..;) and halloween for that matter.;)

And this is the after...I love my room now..:) it looks soooooo good and I love how the room is finally complete..If you haven't checked out Carols awesome items you should..she is also having a sale right now..I know you will find something you can't live without..I just wish I had a bigger home..cause I would be there buying one of everything..:) Thank you Carol and DH for making such wonderful things to make our homes just that much more.;)

Well the fridge was supposed to be delivered on sunday..it was damaged so they told us today..well we got another call telling us it was delayed so it will be delivered tomorrow..I told them I will believe it when I see it at my door...kind of frustrated to say the least...will keep you posted on that one..well I am off to get dirt and then go and play in it..:) have a wonderful tuesday..;)

Oh I had a wonderful gal that is new to my blog, she calls herself the gap girl..Well she spotlighted me today and she just made my whole day...You will love her red house..I know I do and we are thinking about repainting again..thinking a white house with black trim and black shutters (If I can get hubby to make them)..won't be till next year though...we'll see.. Hey there Everyone!!! Hope your saturday is going swimmingly!! I finished up my friends apron that she is giving for a birthday gift...I love this fabric and these photos do not do this apron justice..I used Kim's (old road primitives pattern) The top half is my design and so is the pocket..I love how it turned out..you can't tell from the flash but there is a mary englebreit blue and white sunflower button that matched this to a T!!!

I embroidered the L onto the pocket..I love the curly letter..

I did some stitching detail around the bib..I used 3 colors that were in the fabric and stitched around it...) Deb I hope you like it..:)

Then I moved onto Amy's order and she wanted 3 rooster toile towels for her new kitchen...

they turned out fabulous!!! will be sending these off on monday along with a little treat..:)

Kim from Old Road Primitives ordered a set and loved em so much that she ordered 4 more this time in Red..I love them both in the black and the red..so if any one out there wants these just let me know your colors..:)

I decided to make some to put on my Etsy site which I will be doing after I am done blogging..I made a black set..They will not come with the grater or the rooster cookie cutter..just giving you ideas in which to display them..I love them..and I am making myself one..but it will have strawberrys on the towel as that is my theme for the kitchen..:) will post it when I get it made..

I ordered up some stencils from my good pal Becca Folkart from the Harbor!! I asked her to make some stencils for "blocks" and she did (shown below)..and she was super quick and I just got these today in the mail..and the nice thing is I can make signs or blocks..I just need to get hubby to make me some blocks and I am in business..above is a crow parcheesi stencil..I have just the wood for it..going to be painted black then a cream color and black crows with red checkers..:)

I was taking a break and looking out my diningroom window when I spied this cute little doe just chopping away at something tasty in the neighbors yard...I love seeing them pass through..

I zoomed in for a closer look..:)

Sunny E Bunny is taking a siesta on the back porch..she loves to be on the deck..Pody is in her kennel watching the squirrels and birds eating..(pody is in the kennel cause she is a runner)..Sunny never leaves the yard..;)

Well here is the new fridge that is coming tomorrow!! I got it from Sears..it is a Kenmore..ours was just getting to expensive to keep throwing money into it....only had it for 8 years and needed it looked at twice a year because of something wrong with it..and I am getting the bottom freezer..I can't wait to get it and fill it up..they are hauling the other one out of here.... Well that is it for me..I am going to sit down and make some prairie aprons and bonnets..will be putting those on my etsy when they are done...and will post them here for you as well..I hope you have a wonderful weekend..Take care and thanks for all the wonderful comments you always leave me..I seriously love you guys and this blogging gig has been so much fun so far..:)

DeCoRaTinG foR ThE 4Th of JuLy..

Hey there everyone!!! well I set off to decorate for the 4th since it is fast approaching us and I thought I would share with you what I did..I was reading sugar pie farmhouse and noticed she had this cute set up on her kitchen table..I loved it and wanted to replicate it..she had hers in a vintage enamelware tub..mine wasn't deep enough to keep the washboard standing straight up...so I used my picket fence box instead..This is what she wrote about the setting:

I kept a few things in mine and added the bird on top of the fresh linens..I like the simplicity of it..;) Notice the little uncle sam that is standing in front of it..the only americana thing inside, aside from my red/white/blue lights in each window that I plug in each night..;)

so I had to take out some of my salt dough ornaments and I put them in with my strawberrys and tweaked it a bit..and you know what I love it better this way.:)

I don't have alot of inside decor for the 4th..its all on the front of the house..you can also see a bunting in the upper right window peeking through the trees.;)

I strung red and blue lights up on the porch too..I put the red/white gingham cloth I had on the back porch to the front porch instead..

can't tell but this is lit up at night..hard to do with a flash.:)

I added a long metal spoon with an old little broom and a little metal cup that I am going to put in a little flicker light..I turned the bowls around too...I love this thing...I stare at it all the time..I also ordered something else and it is on its way..I can't wait..I feel like a kid at christmas...I can't wait to show it to you.;)

I got this wonderful doll in the mail yesterday..saw her on Lemon Poppy Seed site..she comes from Kentucky Primitives..I love her stuff and have several of her patterns..I have been wanting an original..;)

I found this from The Calico Rabbit and she had just listed it on her Etsy site..well I had to go and check it out and loved it..so I snatched it up as quick as I could..it arrived yesterday as well..

This is where I put it..I can't wait to paint the bathroom a nice khaki tan and put bead board up..(If I could just motivate the hubby)..and it will look so much better in here..but I love how it looks now..adds a nice prim touch to the bathroom don'tcha think?

well yesterday was fun to decorated..great weather for it too..I then mowed the lawn and set to prune some trees and bushes that were getting out of control and deadheaded some plants that needed it..it is never ending..but I enjoy it..something that you gotta keep up on ..although I now have a huge pile I have to get rid of..but that will wait for the hubbys help...today is another glorious day and the kids are out enjoying the show they always get in the morning...and I am off to make the bed and put laundry away and then hopefully do some sewing today..:) and of course sit outside and enjoy the day..hubby and I did that last night and it was so nice to sit out there together and enjoy the beautiful evening and listen to the birds etc..I love my little outdoor nook that I created..its my favorite spot at the moment..:) I hope you all have a wonderful thursday..has anyone else got their 4th of july decor done..I would love to see it.;) love getting inspiration from others..;)
