Good Wednesday Morning my good people!!! sorry I have been MIA lately..just really busy trying to get projects done and out in the mail for christmas..I am almost finished making my penny rug centerpiece..I still have to put beads on the skates and do a blanket stitch around the red and around the white outer edge..I am totally hooked on making these..
you can't really see the beads..but i used white and blue beads on all the snowflakes..and I will use blue ones on the skates..
this is only a sneak peek at what I finished up yesterday..it turned out so nicely..I am working on another one similiar..will share it when its done..
this was an order for a blogging buddy..she and 2 of her friends do a party every year and it has to involve fa la la la on it..so she asked me to embroider some towels for her...
I added these cute tags to these too..they are embroidered as well.;)
well that is it for me..I have to mail off 2 packages and hope to be done with the post office and then I have to go grocery shopping..I have lots of baking to do as well and a party to go to tomorrow..we are having our churches enrichment night for the ladies and we have to bake 2 dozen cookies and take a white elephant gift..mine won't be a white elephant but something I make..so gotta figure that out..we are just about ready for christmas..I have a ton of sewing to do for my friend Sarah as we are spending christmas with them later in the day for a big dinner..and I have a ton of ideas of things I need to make..plus need to make some stuff for hubbys boss..oh the work never ends..so much for enjoying it..seems more like work..but I get to do what I love to do and that is create..so its all good..sometimes I just wish I had an extra set of hands.:) will share all of this when its done.;) I hope you all have a wonderful day today..we have had alot of rain..puddles everywhere..we could swim our way to places there has been so much..;) thanks for dropping by and saying hi..
Cute items!

Your penny rug and those towels are just beautiful!!! I love anything with Ice skates, they are just so nostalgic:) Hope you find some time to enjoy the day in the midst of getting everything done!
ReplyDeleteI second the cuteness! I'm making Christmas aprons, still!
ReplyDeleteI love your penny rug center piece, the ice skates are the best!
ReplyDeleteAnd those towels are so cute. You do such a nice job.
Merry Christmas!
Wish I would have thought about the towels,I needed something simple for grandma. They would have been perfect. To late now.LoL Really like the penny rug.Warm Blessings!~Amy
ReplyDeleteDoes trying to get the house clean qualify as "working on something", honey?! That's what I'm trying my best to do today. Hubby is off to work at D.I. for a couple of hours so that might help. ;-)
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Connie
Looks like you've been a busy bee!!! Everything looks great!

Wow, everything is just beautiful! I love the penny rug, and I also really love the towels! I think I will put that on my craft gift list for next year! They look great. I also love the tags...very nice.
ReplyDeleteLove the things you've been creating...the "fa-la-la-la" towels are precious, as are the gift tags. And I'm thinking maybe rain is just a little easier to deal with than snow...or not! We could use some rain here in Florida, but if we had it now we'd probably get snow...LOL
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy. All your wares are pretty. You are very right about work never ending. When you get your lights in your smudge pot post a photo. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHi Gina,
ReplyDeleteI love the tags-amazing! Your work is awesome!
Have a great Holiday season!
Barb
Love the penny rug centerpiece!! Great job!! I never get "finished" either so I know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Lorna
I love the greens you chose for the trees. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe towels and penny rug and the gift tags are sooooooo cool. My favorite crafty things I have seen on your blog thought I like everything you have shown us, these just really are me!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if the world could hold you into its gravity if you had 4 hands. You get more done with 2 than anyone I know.
Hugs....
Love your penny rug!! I have some patterns to make them, but never have. Maybe I should work on one this winter.
ReplyDeleteLove the sneak peek...that embroidery design that I made stitched out really good. Can't wait to see what you used it on. Speaking of embroidery...those towels are just too cute!!
Hope you don't float away with all that rain. We are going to get 2 to 4 more inches of snow over-night and it isn't even officially winter yet! Hope this isn't a sign of what is to come when winter does get here!!
~Cindy~
Love Love Love the towells and the tags..what a lovely gift for the receivers :)
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of sad here today as it is my Mothers BD..she would have been 91 today (Billys aunt is 92 and still lives by herself) My Mother died from Colin cancer when she was 67..Always miss her more this time of year :)
Penny rug center piece is beautiful
ReplyDeletelove anything with Ice Skates..
