Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Eskimo proverb

NeW BLoGGer iN OuR MiDsT and A GreAT REcIpE to ShArE...;)

Good Monday Morning Everyone!! I have met a wonderful new gal from our Prim gals forum..Her name is Jennifer and she is new to Blogging..she has her home all decked out in fall and it is gorgeous..a girl after my own heart...She has 3 beautiful kids and is a coal miners daughter...She is going to have a giveaway when she reaches 100 followers..so what are you waiting for..get on over and say hi and welcome her to our world of blogging..she is a great gal and a beautiful one at that..just look at that naturally curly hair.;)

My good friend Sarah from church shared a recipe that I just had to have..she made it for a bbq we went to last month..and it was sooooo tasty..she said I could share this..you will love it..;)
 Cabbage Salad
1/2 head green cabbabge chopped
1/2 head purple/red cabbage chopped
4 green onions copped or sliced thin
3 to 4 packages chicken or oriental flavored Ramen noodles
2 cups cooked chicken breasts (cut up)
sliced almonds (optional)
Dressing
6 TBLspoons Sugar
3 TBLspoons White vinager
1 &1/2 Teasppons salt
1 &1/2 Teaspoons pepper
Seasoning from Ramen packets
1 & 1/2 Cup oil

Mix the cabbage, onions, chickens and almonds in a bowl. Take ramen noodles out of package and toast till golden color. Break noodles into cabbage mixture and blend together. Mix dressing in seperate bowl and pour over top of mixture. Let salad sit for at least 1/2 hour to let flavor set in.

I season my chicken with garlic, cilantro, and montreal chicken seasoning I think it tastes better that way.

Well that is it for me..gotta go and check on our table..we restripped it back to its original state cause the color was too dark..we put a stain on it..and now I gotta see if I like/love the color...then its on to the satin finish...we are getting quite a collection of stains and colors going..soon I will have my own paint store..lol..at least it seems that way...We are supposed to get some nice weather our way this week..I will be cleaning and decorating for my party this saturday..along with grocery shopping, doctors appt, making pillow cases at church and hopefully getting my hair cut and colored...I am thinking of going with a new style..I can't handle the tame look..I like messy bead head myself..so we shall see...found some cute styles last night surfing..so we will see if if can be done.:>) have a great week ahead.;)

  3. Hi Gina, I will head over to her blog. Good luck with your new hair style. I missed my last cut and have enough hair for two people!! I wear it kind of spiky so it gets too long relly quick. My stylist is so busy if you miss one you have to wait a long time.
    Have a great week!!
    Blessings,
    Lorna

  7. The recipe sounds great..I know what you mean about the messy hair style. I never was into messing with my hair for an hour every morning and the best comb or brush I have found is my fingers. I got my hair cut today and now I am all ready for the big move and hope my hair holds up for a 16 hour ride..if not I will just run my fingers through it and shake it a little :)
