GorGeouS DaY FoR an EaSteR Egg HuNt..

Hey there Guys and Gals..what a gorgeous day for our Easter brunch and Easter Egg hunt..first off was the brunch..there was lots of great eggy casseroles, waffles, pancakes and muffins..my muffins were a hit with the little ones too..:) you notice my prim easter can amongst the good food..That's my good pal Heather and her little one Troy..
this was our table..look how cute they had the tables set up..all colored table cloths and those little cups all along the tables..(I brought 4 home for my kittys as it is cat grass planted in those and my cats love it.;)
Everyone getting their bellys full and fueled for the big Egg hunt..;)
My other very good pal Peggy telling the kids a story while we hurried and cleaned up the tables so we could all get ready for the hunt..
this was the little kids gearing up to get 10 eggs each..(hopefully)..the bigger kids were in a different area..
the search is on...
the teenagers hid the eggs all through the grass..there was 2 big eggs, a golden one and a silver one..and who ever found those..got a big chocolate easter bunny...the little plastic eggs were filled with candy..

here is one little boy named Hap, but he goes by Happy, he had his trick or treat pumpkin for this just occasion to collect eggs..hey what ever works...some had plastic bags and others the traditional basket..;)
this little brother and sister duo cleaned up on the eggs..

he had a ways to go...
even our missionaries got into action..he claims he didn't make his basket..but I beg to differ...lol..the kids actually made these when they were done eating..;)
here is another brother duo..younger brother Logan on the left and big brother Elias on the right...they live just up the street from me..they had some cute baskets and they got their "limit"...the kids had a great time and I think the adults did too...they are talking rain tomorrow..so this was an absolute perfect day...I got a wonderful package in the mail from a wonderful blogging friend..I will share that one tomorrow...I went to Wally world and got some more spring cookie cutters and made another batch of salt dough cookies and this time left them prim with just cinnamon and wax..some are for my sister and a great blogging friend of mine...I love making those cookies..if you haven't tried them you must they are easy peasy lemon squeezy and you will make more of these..everyone at church loved them and a couple of them went home with some folks..but i was able to wrangle the rest and brought them home..I will show you what i did with them in tomorrow post..have a great rest of your day..the kittys got quite a show today as well..and that will wait till tomorrow or monday..but I got some awesome photos..:) until next time...Take care and thanks for stopping by...

We are expecting great weather as the week goes on...so such be great for the church Easter egg hunt this coming Saurday. After it is over, Josie and I are going to make an Easter egg-shaped cake. It's going to be my birthday cake that we will have on Easter Sunday after dinner.

  6. I am cracking up here. The idea that the boy repurposed his halloween candy bucket, as an Easter egg basket is wayyyy fun. Gotta love it.
