Good Evening everyone..I figured I better blog now or it might not happen for a few more days..I am busy trying to get sewing done and stuff out the door on friday..might not happen..so they might be late..but better late then never..and I have been busy baking..last saturday I made symphony brownies shown above..
my homemade hot chocolate with peppermint ground up in it..should be tasty...been making it for years..
and 75 mini pumpkin chip muffins..will be making more of those next week..hubby took 9 treat bags along with jam today to work..everyone seemed to like their goodies..so now I have 14 more to make..;)so will be baking all next week to get them out..I also gave my postal girl and my garbage man their goodies today.;)
I added my little tattered teddy bear to a stocking..he hasn't seem to sell so he is apart of my christmas decor now..that is Gracie Mae in the background..
I had my doctors appt on monday..its now once a month..but I earn $50.00 every time I go in..hoping they cut me a check for this month and last as its 500.00 bucks..and it could be used on stuff for christmas or paying off the bills I have been spending to buy clothes lately..my new favorite store is target these days..super cute clothes and great prices..so after the doctors..I went to joanns and got my wool felt and this sweet vintage fabric.. got 2 yards...one for the table and the other for crafting with..its the night before christmas..and it was on sale..and I got my first 2 christmas cards from my blogging pals..Little raggedy angie and Carmen of waxed out creative life..you gals are the best..so far I have 22 cards done and more to go..sat and did them last night..just wish postage wasn't so stinking expensive..for just 22 cards it 15.00 bucks..that's highway robbery..
and on the center of the table is a giveaway I won from Teri over at white sheep farm..I for 3 great smelling gingerbread men and that great painted candle mat..I just love it;)thats how it looked when I got it...
and now this is how it looks now..I took down the wheelbarrow and put my raggedys on it on the floor and added my rolling pin I made and tried to sell..(hence the price tag) that has been remeoved..I am keeping this one..as I love the old pin..
and this is my 2nd giveaway win..I just got this one in the mail today..it came from Laurie of Cats haven crafts ..she cross stitched this one.I love that sweet kitty.;)

I also have some more wonderful news..I am down 72 pounds now..with only 10 more to go..and if I lose more then that..then it will be icing on the cake..I am pretty happy and feel so good..I have been taking Tucker out for his walks everyday this week..tomorrow it is supposed to rain..so may skip it..but friday we are back on..I added up all the weight I have lost over the years and I am stunned to think I have lost that much weight over the years..and hoping this time I can keep it off and remember how good I feel..do you all want to hear that total..220 pounds..scary huh? but it can be done..with old fashioned elbow grease and exercise..I just gotta stay away from the homemade goodies..if they aren't in the house I am okay..so gotta make it fast and out the door it goes..
I got some funny things in the mail today and they are little conversation starters..so will put one out everytime I blog and lets see what your answers are..this should be interesting?

Congrats on the weight loss - I admire those who can do diets. Luckily, I haven't had to (altho I'm sure it wouldn't hurt if I lost a few pounds here or there) - but I so love the sweets and snacks of Christmas!

I an getting back to it. Tonight is my first night at the YMCA. One of my BFF's joined with me. We are gonna walk this off if it kills us. I have about 40 pounds to shed so wish me luck. I feel like crap. I have to do this. Makes it harder when you are taking drugs that make you gain whether you are watching what you eat or not. :( Oh well... can't get off the steroids because of my crohns so I guess I will just have to work twice as hard. I'm set on it though! :) Hope I do it as fast as you have!

ReplyDeleteI'd have to give that question some thought, LOL, quite a few daring things in my teenage years but not too much since;/ Congrats on the wt. loss, I'm trying to get some baking done for the kids but with all that's been going on with my step father it's hard, he's still in the hospital and don't know when he'll get out. Love that vintage tablecloth, so adorable!!!

ReplyDeleteMost daring thing I can think of real quick here. I was in Germany with a teacher and some kids from my school back in '94. A few of the other girls and I were walking along a street and looking at the cute houses. We met up with a local carrying his tuba. He gave the girls rides on his motorcycle up and down the little street... and then some of his friends came by and we all decided to go up onto this mountain. I hadn't ridden the motorcycle yet, so guess who got to ride up the mountain? Moi. Once up there, they asked if we wanted to smoke some MJ. Of course we weren't into that stuff and declined. Later his friends drove us all back down to the place we were staying. When we got back, our teacher was SO MAD!! And of course I was the one in the most trouble! (Actually, he was never my teacher, but he was the teacher responsible for us on the trip.) So that's my story. I have a photo somewhere of the tuba guy and I think another of one of the girls with him on his motorcycle. Fun times!! hahaha
