Good Monday Morning everyone!!! it is a beautiful "fall" like day..it is only supposed to get to 63 today with showers in spots..I love how they word things on these weather sites..but right now it is sunny and glorious..On saturday I went grocery shopping and they had these huge mums for 4.99 each..I couldn't pass these up..so I got 4 and put them in my wheelbarrow..
I love the vibrant colors..and they add a nice touch of color by the front steps..;)
we also hit a garage sale on our walk home..Hubby got some wood carving tools for a $1.00 each..he got 4..I got a cement mold for $2.00 (not shown).. he got a friend an air cleaner for his wood shoppe for $25.00..his friend will be thrilled with this find..I also got this cute little gas can for a $1.00..its out in the side yard landscaping..I love the shapes of these old cans don't you?
the hops are coming in nicely this year..
here is a side view of the house..next month we will be harvesting these..too bad too cause I love these vines and wish they could stay all year round..)
I had a gal on etsy approach me with wanting to do a swap..and I chose this wonderful hallowen cat bracelet..
It looks sooooo much better in person and on my wrist..I love it and can't wait to start wearing it..I wore it the first night at home..love it.;)
okay you all wanted me in my dress, sweater and boots..so had hubby take the photo..I swear these photos make me look larger then life..hubby says its the dress..its form fitting at the bust then drops straight out..If I had turned sideways you would see I don't really look this big..lol..
everyone at church loved the sweater and wanted one..just perfect for the day..I love that jeans dress..haven't seen it in 12 years..so it was brand new to me..:) I ordered another pair of boots in a different style..will show you when I get them..these are so comfortable too..put my orthodics in them and away I went.;)
we interrupt this program for a wild kitty on the lose..been seen attacking dad mans heads..:) what a little nut..hubby does this to her..she has a thing for his ears..lick, lick..bite bite..lol..
Yummmm!!! what was for dinner last night..can you guess?
if not here is the recipe..
and here is the finished product..and I will tell you this is a keeper!! tasted just like them..I made some sauted red and green cabbage with a whole onion, and some cherry tomatoes..oh it was sooo good..we have enough meat for another meal..I also have meat from the cafe rio pork recipe..it has made 2 meals so far..I love left overs don't you..I used the cafe rio recipe in a pasta dish the other night and hubby was so impressed he said to make it a recipe..all I did was cook pasta and add the pork mixture to it..it was sooo flipping good...you must also do the cilantro dressing on this...its great as a sandwich spread too.;) it totally makes the meal..;)
my friend Sarah from church gave this to me yesterday..she has had it since April and kept forgetting to give it to me..I love this little basket...
so I put my embroidery floss and stuff in it..keeps the Lucy out of my stuff and safe..so it sits next to me on the couch..perfect size too;) she got it at Joanns..
This is my latest project..using my sizzix..I got my friends stuff cut out and cut some for me too.:) I left enough space at the bottom to put a candle of your choice there and it doesn't cover up the design..will post this when I get done with it....it will also have button flowers for the terracotta pot..)
I also cut these out..I love these whimsical party pumpkins..I am going to stitch these onto burlap and make little pillows..will list them when I get them done..just in time for your holiday decorating..)
last but not least..these next 4 photos are on my Old Primitive Peddler site..lots of great things to see too..I love the way this wall hanging turned out..besure to click on the photo to see all the detail and stitching..lots of it..
a penny rug candle mat..
a nice "welcome" pumpkin that will take you all the way through thanksgiving.:)
and two different fall/thanksgiving towels..each has a different thing embroidered on them..
well that is it for me today..I gotta pack up some stuff to mail off..exercise, tidy up the house and work on some sewing..gotta get some stuff made for my christmas show..and I don't want to be cramming at the last minute..:)I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead..I will be planning a giveaway soon..maybe this week..whose up for another game of bingo? take care and thanks for stopping by and saying HI..I love seeing your comments..they all make my day.:)

Sweet bracelet! Loving Lucy wrestling Mike's head! One of our dogs--Ginger--does my Mike's hair. She does it everyday! She holds his head still with both paws and works him over until he looks great.
ReplyDeleteYour pennies are awesome as usual and I love mums, too. You look awesome in the dress and sweater. Boots are not for me. My feet couldn't take it.....
Hope every day gives you reason to smile!

Hi Gina,
ReplyDeleteFirst I have to tell you that you look awesome...I love your jean dress, sweater, and boots!! I gave up wearing dresses because of my bad feet, but now that I see your boots...I just might have to go dress and boot shopping. Wish you could come help me pick some stuff out.
The pic of Lucy attacking your hubby's head is so funny and cute!! Just cracked me up!!
It felt like Fall here today too...was in the upper 60's for most of the day.

I just love when mums season rolls around. Seeing yours makes me want to be sure to plant some here. I hope we can get out into the woods and find some bittersweet to wrap around the grapevine tree that I placed on the deck which will soon have new clear twinkle lights as well.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of you in the denim dress is just as cute as can be. I love wearing denim, nothing else is as comfortable for casual.
Your Lucy is such a pretty little girl. They are so rumbustious when they're young, then turn into the ultimate couch potato when older.
ReplyDeleteI love your wall hanging with the toothy pumpkin on it.
Have a great day!
ps. I forgot to add that the beef recipe looks good and easy! I'm not a fan of red meat but I think the hubs would love this dish and welcome some beef for a change.
ReplyDeleteI'll pick up the ingredients on my grocery day tomorrow and make it real soon.
Thanks!
