WheRe HaVe I BeeN? My TriP to UtaH..;)

Well it seems like forever since I last blogged..I have missed it..but not as much as I thought I would..I went home to utah on the 27th of May to visit my sick mom and my brothers and sisters..I was originally supposed to return on the 1st of June but chose to stay a couple of extra days to see my mom...so I returned home on June 4th instead..hence why I have been AWOL for so long..I will share family photos tomorrow..but I will say my mom is doing much better when I left on saturday...it was so nice to be able to return home leaving on a "happy note"...I did do a little bit of shopping in between hospital visits..and we went to Gardners village..one of my favorites places to visit and to shop..so my good pal Jill whom I have known since 7th grade went shopping..we hit 2 different places..(another favorite place to shop but mostly in the fall)..This place is something else especially at halloween time as they deck the halls for this place..I would also love to see it at christmas..but I saw it 4 years ago in October and it was spectacular..I have blogged about it before.. you can see it HERE...and you will also notice a much larger me in those photos..:) speaking of which I didn't gain while I was back home..and have only so far lost 1/2 a pound..I will glady take it..so down 28-1/2 so far..
this is one of the stores..I love this fabric store..they carry amazing fabric and now that I am in to wool..they carry it as well..
love this laundry day quilt..the clothes are not stitched on all the way..so it gives it a real 3-D effect..:)
this greeted us as we came in..
I love these little pincushions..and they carry the patterns too..
more stitcheries...
love the colors on this wall..
this greeted us as we came in to the village...
these are fake doors painted with animals...

love this little pond with the ducks..and you can feed them too..there was also fish (big ones) swimming in here too...
loved how they planted the flowers in and around the buildings..

I want one of these wagons..I have the wheels..maybe I need to get hubby to make me the wagon..just more to add to his "Honey Do List"...lol...

that is the restaurant there..haven't eaten there yet..
This is Jill and I doing self portraits..I tell you when we get together..we are the biggest goof balls ever..she can get me to do things I wouldn't normally do..and visa versa..we have alot of fun together..she picked me up from the airport and dropped me off too..we are having our 30th high school reunion in september..so will see her again..we are going as "dates"..
okay so Jill asked me to pose in front of this cute little outhouse..and said to look like I had to pee....so I did..(I made my jeans purse for the trip)..
well one good dare deserves another..so I told her to pose like she had to do a number 2...and she did..we laughed our butts off..(I know TMI)...but we do get goofy..
we hit the next store that is called taipain and I am not too much into to it for spring..too much floral for my taste..but at halloween and christmas..bring it on..they have great prices and you can totally spend all of your money there..I did get 2 different smelling tarts for my scentsy warmer..you get 20 in each and they are only $8.00..they both have a vanilla base and they smell so good..kind of like I am baking..:) yummm!!!you will see what I purchased 4 years ago at this place....
this is the wool that I picked up at the village..
and they let you pick out 3 fat quarters for free...
I took photos of all the wonderful wool projects...
and I just had to have the pattern of the photo above..I love halloween can you tell?
this is a punch needle pattern I picked up there as well..I might use this as a wool felt pattern as well..just print up the pattern on the fabric to use as a template...
I had to have this sign..I got one for my mother in law too..
here's where I put mine..:)..
well that is it for me today..I spent the day yesterday out in the gorgeous weather working in the yard from 12-5pm...didn't realize how much stuff had taken over and how tall some stuff had gotten..so did some trimming, pulling, replanting, and some burning..the yard looks so much better now and I still have a bit more to go....it will be there for another day..today we got a bit of rain..so taking it easy and catching up on my 27 hours of waltons that I have recorded..Take care and thanks for sticking with me...hope I didn't put you all to sleep..:)
