Well it seems I have been trying to post this all day long!! I got side tracked and went to go and put the babies out in their pen to enjoy some fall weather and then started on some yard work..This is what I made for breakfast this morning..Super easy and super tasty!!! These are called Ham and Cheese Pockets....You take 1 package of refrigerated dinner rolls and seperate them..Take a little bit of flour on your work surface
so you can flatten the dough out to 3-4 inches round ( found just holding it and rotating and flattening it worked better)....then add some ham chunks and cheddar cheese...
I also used the horseradish cheese too..and I must say this one was my favorite!!
take and bring up the sides and pinch together to close up the pocket..
place each roll "seal" side down onto a parchment lined baking sheet...

take one egg and a 1 tablespoon of water and beat..
brush your bisquits with the egg wash and put in a preheated 375 degree oven and bake for 15-20 minutes..I only cooked mine for 16 minutes and they came out looking like this...
nice and golden brown..I got this recipe from the Katie Brown workshop..she is on public television..check your local listings.;) This is definitely a keeper...they were so nice on a crisp fall morning..:)

This is what got me side tracked today..still working on that front portion..worked on it for 2 hours today and the yard looks so barron right now..but will be so much easier come spring..next week I am hoping to bark and that will make it look nice and tidy again..still have about another 2-3 hours and that doesn't count the barking part..but it is coming along..got some weeds burned with my trusty weed burner today ..and got the yard raked up of the falling leaves..I hate disaray..drives me bonkers...I like things nice and tidy inside and out..:)
and look what my ups gal brought me today..I got my 4 boxes of fiber fill from Amazon today...it was supposed to be 3-6 weeks I thought..but it was only about 2..so I am set now for a bit..I also got another order for one of my chicken towels that looks like a dress..I am also working on some fall looking ones..just gotta finish up the top part..will be working on those tomorrow..:) I will be sharing my swap goodies tomorrow and wednesday the outside decorating..I hope you all had a wonderful monday...the weather here turned out to be a great day and to work in to..we have a beautiful sunny evening..and now I must go and get dinner ready...have a great evening everyone.:)

  1. Gina,

The pockets look so yummy...wanna come cook some up for me girlfriend? I am so tired...too tired to cook today. A bowl of cereal is looking good right now!

Your yard is getting whipped into shape nicely. You'll be so much happier in the spring when things start out fresh and clean, even though it may look bare right now. Maybe you can put a fall display there...a bale of hay, some corn shocks, pumpkins and mums...that way it's dressed up for the fall season without having to plant anything.

  4. Yummy!!!
Wow...did you get some fiberfill!! That is my favorite kind too and I'm so sad that Walmart isn't carrying it anymore. I saw where you can get the good deal when you order so many boxes, but I don't have anywhere to store that many...bummer!
Going to post more of the show tomorrow...not feeling very well and am heading off to bed.
