Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Eskimo proverb

BaKinG, RoAd TriP, ThRifT SToRe, CrAFtInG..And A SiLLiE MiLLie..;)

Good morning everyone!! I hope your week has started off on a good note..Sunday I did some baking..made 2 batches of salt dough cookie ornaments..now I must paint and wax them.;)
Yesterday we took a road trip to Cabela's store about an 1-1/2 hours away from our house so Hubby could get his 50th birthday present..he ordered a rifle with a scope on it..and they were holding it for us.. if you have never stepped foot in one of these stores (which we hadn't) your mouth will fall to the floor..WOW is all I can say..the center of the store has a scene with all the wild animals doing what wild animals do..I am not a fan of seeing this taxadermy stuff but it was neat to see..and its everywhere..and this was not the biggest store either..I got this coonskin cap (or Daniel Boone hat as I call them) for my little nephew for his birthday in November..his mom told me he has been wanting one for a long time..unbeknowst to me..so I feel pretty good that I knew (must be espn) or something..and got it for him.:) ( I know its esp) but I call it espn.;)lol..

on our way home..dropped off hubby to get his car from its oil change and I headed over to the grocery store to get Pizza for dinner..well I called it in and knew I had a few minutes and there was a new thrift store..okay its been there for 4 years..but it was new to me..I found the outdoor cookie cutter set for $3.00 and this huge rolling pin for $2.00..so I was pretty happy about it.;)

I am doing a Scentsy Candle party on October 2nd..so if anyone is interested in coming you are all invited..if you want to place an online order..please let me know..Kelli dropped off her 80 scents so i can take these around and let folks smell them and get a feel for what they offer...I love the "bakery" scents the best..and each month they offer a new candle burner and this month it is a rusty orange with leaves..beautiful..and great for fall..they have a huge line..so check it out..

On Sunday while talking to my mom on the phone..I finally stitched up these pillows..just need to stuff them and place them on my etsy site..;) I printed these up on computer fabric and these two have flour sack backings.;)

I will let you know when I have these posted..maybe today..hubby is going shooting with his new rifle and I might just sit here and stuff..I got an order for my Crow Towels from Michelle..and I am doing a swap with Laurie and need to get some towels stained up..I also need to make some rooster towels for a wholesale job that I got recently.,:) and I need to finish up a project for Tammy..oh this list keeps growing.:)
I took this of our Sillie Millie the other day..this is her new favorite spot again..they seem to go in cycles..but who wouldn't love this cozy spot..she's like the princess and the pea.;)
Tomorrow I get my new glasses..I am getting bifocals..and I am glad...cause it is hurting to see the little stuff anymore..and reading blogs etc..is getting painful..so I am getting progressive anti-glare, glasses with the go dark in the sun and a pair of sunglasses too..so will model those and the new do...in the next post..I hope you all have a great day today..ours is holding out..might step outside with my shovel in hand and start digging out stuff to get the yard put away..cause fall is definitely here and I want to get the yard work done early..cause next its getting the dreaded leaves blown out of here and they are starting to fall everywhere..;) have a good one..and thanks for stopping by and saying hi..I love hearing from you all..you all make my day with your sweet comments.;)

  11. Yes..the outdoor style stores are pretty cool to go to. I have a candlescents warmer and 3 things of scents that I got from #6 son for Mothers day. I had some other scents from other places and tried them in it and found out they work in it also.
Wow looks like you have been busy and also using up a lot of colored ink but I love the little tuck pillows.
I will be sending you an email about something I will be needing also :)

Welcome to the world of bifocals. I got mine two year ago. They really do help me see to thread needles and with doing stuff on the computer.
