Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Eskimo proverb

What I haVe BeEn WoRkinG On...

Hey there Everyone! I can't believe it is thursday already and I haven't blogged all week..I have been reading everyones blogs though..I do that on a daily basis..it is how I start my day..or at least attempt to..I have been busy sewing these little wall hangings and have a great time..this is the most "quilting" I have ever done and I sew enjoyed it..pun intended..;) The above one is my shabby chic/cottagy wall banner.

above is the back..
This is my prim/country banner..it has the richer colors..

Here is the back of it..I have these listed on my Humble Arts so if you are interested in reading about them and purchasing them..please go to my humble arts. I have 2 other projects now to finish up and I am making my little sister one of these banners for her new baby boy that is due the end of this month..it will have vintage little animals embroidered on them..I have alot I want to make for her..as well as a few suprises for my fellow bloggers..I haven't forgotten about you...just gotta keep buckled down and sewing..my machine is giving me fits..so I may have to take it in to get it serviced..oh boy is that going to be hard..but I want it in good shape..and it has never been done..but the zig zag stitch isn't coming out right and the needle is breaking....so that is a problem..Not much going on here..I purchased a new living room rug that is shagadellic..I will take a photo and post it maybe tomorrow...the weather has been wonderful should be nice tomorrow and through sunday then we get our rains..but it is needed to knock the pollens down as hubby and one of our kittys has severe allergys this time of year...any way I hope you have a great rest of your thursday.:)

  5. These would make great banners for a country church! I belong to a little country church in rural Iowa and we have two hand made quilts that adorn the front of the sanctuary -- one dates from the 50's and one dates from the mid-80's. The one from the mid 80's has a block of mine in it. Each family was asked to submit an embroidered block that listed their family members names and a design particular to that family! Such treasures!

I love all the beautiful words embroidered into the flower petals!
