Happy Valentines day everyone!!! Hubby cleaned house and fixed breakfast for me before I headed off to church...when I got home the weather was holding out for us..so we took a walk with the boy,(Tucker)..love taking our walks.. I am fixing us Prime Rib tonight with garlic/parmasean cheese potatoes and sauted brussels ...and fudge cake for dessert...have I made your tummys growl yet?..
I have to tell you how we celebrated Valentines as a kid growing up in my household..my dad was not a fu-fu kind of guy..but he always thought of us on Valentines day..he would stop on his way home from work and buy us big Valentines day cards and he would sign them and put a $5.oo bill in the inside and a box of little chocolates on the front door..he would ring the doorbell and then run and it was always our first Valentine of the night..as we kids would have our valentines all ready to go and do the "valentine and run" thing in our neighborhood..we were a bit naughty and would have the one blank valentine with fishing line attached to it and be hiding in the bushes so when they reached down to pick it up..we would high tail it down the road with the valentine flying in the wind and the kid chasing after it..oh those were the days... it must have been a "utah" thing as when I tell this story..no one has done it...Did you ever do this as a kid...I miss it..My little sister tried doing it with her kids and no one recipicated back..so she stopped..I feel sorry for the kids these days as they just don't have the fun we all had as kids..where you had to use your imaginations etc...I even watched the "charlie brown Valentine show" this last wednesday..I don't like to miss them..its my part of being a kid still I guess..Well I hope you all have/had a wonderful day..:) take care...:)

Call the Nestle Hotline at 1-800-295-0051. When asked if you want to continue in English or Spanish, wait quietly for about 10 seconds and I PROMISE you will smile. Keep going and press 4. Then press... 7.
I did this last night and busted a gut..it is too funny..might take you a few trys to get connected..but do it..and put it on speaker so everyone can hear it..:)

  5. Gina, you are too funny! We never did the valentine thing but I was telling my son the other day about ding dong ditchin' where you ring the bell & run and then there were the scavenger hunts... a piece of bread, a curler... Don't go to that lady's house, I heard she doesn't even have plumbing in there! Oh what fun when were were young! These days I don't think you would even dare. Your dinner sounds very wonderful! We had left overs from yesterday. Pork ribs and potatoe salad. I got off easy! Have a great rest of your day!

  7. Gina,
Sounds like you had some fun when you were a young one!! We recently had some kids ring our doorbell and run...I can remember my brother and his friends doing that when we were young. They also toilet paper a few yards in their time too.
Thank you so much for all my goodies!! I love everything. I hope to get yours out soon.I feel so bad that I don't have them done yet...I let you know when I send them.
    hugs, Cindy
