here is our backyard...you can barely see the grass at this point and the kids corral is completely covered with a "leaf roof"...but it is so peaceful and quiet. all you hear is the rain .....
okay onto shopping...Kimmy and I went out to a gift show yesterday...they have it the same time every year...we have done this show twice and it is a good one...just don't like the 20% commission they take on top of a large fee...This above is from Joanns...Oh I see some wintery dresses out of the shiny fabric..some snowman/girl dolls and the black and white wool felt has already been transformed into a stocking with the cutest crow santa embroidered on it...still have some finishing touches to put on it before I list it in my WSOAPP selling blog..which by the way has been updated today and there are door prizes in alot of the vendors sites..my will be updated just as soon as I get my butt in gear...maybe tonight or tomorrow...vacation put me behind and the fact that I haven't done anything...lol..that would explain it...:)haven't decided what my door prize will be yet..but if you sign up for our newsletter on December 10th I will draw a lucky winner...there is some wonderful eye candy so be sure to stop and see everyones and they are also giving a lucky winner a $50.00 gift certificate to spend in any one of the vendors blogs...pretty neat huh? so what are you waiting for...get shopping...christmas is right around the corner...
this is also from Joanns...I found some really cool stuff..I swear I am there every week...love that store and Kimmy and I have so much fun there...the brown suitcase like item came from the gift show..it is old and vintage..and has a colonial patriotic looking girl on the inside. and the handle is a measuring tape...I am thinking of using it as my purse...It was only $7.50...couldn't pass it up...there is fake fur for more stockings or bands around waists and paint and stain and rubber stamps and ribbon for more dresses..markers and soap molds...I also got some blank canvas so I can paint on them and an ironing tool so I can melt wax and put it on the canvas..haven't decided what I am going to paint yet...
here is 2 other finds at the gift show..I just love this little turkey..I got one for me and one for my sister to go with her pilgrim lady I need to make...and I plan on making 4 of them...so I gotta get hopping...
here is a plate I also purchased at the show yesterday..I would love to get ahold of some of those plates unfinished of course so I can paint on them..so if anyone out in bloggerville knows where I can get some...please let me know..
here is my hutch decorated for fall and thanksgiving...
here are my Honey and Me pilgrim dolls... sitting in a green wagon with rusty wheels..
Everything looks wonderful at your house. I love all the Thanksgiving prims you have, love that stitchery. Have a great evening.
