Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Eskimo proverb

ummmm...It'S thuRsDay....

Here is Gracie, sleeping under the covers in between the pillows.. This is her favorite spot...she's all covered up and toasty and as snug as a bug in a rug...little nut..

Well today is my friend Doreens birthday..so I am taking a card and a little sunflower pin over to her house and wishing her happy birthday...going to get out and plant some flowers today too...we are supposed to have nice weather today...just wish the sun would pop its head out.. got the kitty pattern all on posterboard now need to get them traced and sewn...need to start sewing again..miss it...just need to focus...but I tell you blogging is so addicting...love reading everyone's post for the day..kind of feel like you know them personally...
Here is a recipe that I got off of the food network from Giada De Laurentiis..Everyday Italian..I made this last night and it is soooo good..

Spaghettini with Checca Sauce
8 ounces spaghettini, or spaghetti or angel hair
4 scallions (white and pale green parts only), coarsely chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed (I use the jar garlic)
1 (12-ounce container) cherry tomatoes, halved
1 (1-ounce) piece of Parmesan cheese, coarsely chopped
8-10 fresh basil leaves
salt and freshly ground pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. tender but still firm to the bite, stirring often about 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the next 7 ingredients in a food processor. Pulse just until the tomatoes are coarsely chopped (do not puree).
Drain pasta, reserving some of the pasta water. Toss the pasta with the tomato mixture and fresh mozzarella in a large bowl. Add some of the reserved pasta water (about 1/4 cup) if the sauce looks dry.
Serve immediately.
This is great to eat the next day too..can be served at room temp...great for summer time cooking...

Enjoy your day today...:)

  2. That's hilarious that your cat likes to sleep that way. Seeing your posts makes me feel nostalgic about the cats I used to have.

Just curious who your friend Doreen is? Is she on Bainbridge?

Also, to answer your question a while back, yes, I did my own blogger header. I used Scrapbook Factory.
