Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Eskimo proverb

What I'Ve BeEn Up To...

The other day when I went shopping for groceries..(the only day I have been out since the cold)..I saw these beautiful flowers and thought they would look nice for Easter..I have them sitting on my kitchen counter in an enamelware pitchur..I love the colors...
This one is my absolute favorite in this bunch..I love the vibrancy of the colors..does anyone out there know what kind they are as I would love to grow them in my garden..
This was another one that I love..I love that green!!! do you know what these are?
Yesterday I decided to make Strawberry bread..oh my is it good...I got the recipe from Donna of on Simple Country Girl..super easy to make and moist..I used the frozen strawberries and just mushed them up a bit..one loaf went with Hubby to work this morning to share with the folks that stop by the Marina chit chat and also for the folks that live there...
This is what I have been working on for the last 2 days...I have made 8 bibs and have one more to make..but I wanted to show you one that is all finished..these are going to be for my little sister who had her baby Boy named Jack Andrew on the 19th of March..They are turning out simply scrumptious..I love them...and I know she will too..
here is the back...a sage terry cloth..nice and soft to wipe off Jacks little chubby cheeks...I will be making more of these to add to my etsy shoppe..if anyone is interested in these let me know...Well we are spending a quiet day at home for Easter tomorrow..I am making a ham, along with Garlic smashed potatoes, brussel sprouts sauteed and a carrot cake that I purchased through Omaha Steaks..so far everything we have had has been marvelous!!! so this will be a nice treat...our weather is so-so today...but at least its not raining...so that is a plus..we lost power twice yesterday for a split second..just enough that I had to reset the clocks in various places...and we had high winds last night..but we are okay..I hope you all have a wonderful Easter with your loved ones and Remember that Jesus died so we could live!!! please keep him in your hearts. :>)
Take care and talk to you all again Soon..:) will post more photos of the bibs when they are all done.:)

  1. The flowers are gorgeous. Nothing beats decorating with fresh fleurs. Are those silicone pans you've got your strawberry bread in? If so, how do you find them compared to metal bakeware?

  8. I've over here in your part of the west this weekend, chick, but I was at WM on thursday and was going to buy a bouquet of tulips but LB said they'd be dead by the time we got back home so I didn't. I will when we get back home though. We had to go to Portland and up to WA. because of Snoqualmie snow. Rained like cats and dogs the whole way over!!!! Happy easter, sugar.
    xoxo,
    Connie
