Hey there Folks! This is how I spend my evenings now in front of the TV..I am so loving this stitching stuff/embroidery/cross stitching...it has been years since I have done this like 20 years or so and it is nice to be able to do something other then just watching the old boob tube and then falling asleep in front of it..This is the project I showed you all last week..in the early stages
I did these two flags on my embroidery/sewing machine yesterday..I love playing on my machine..I am going to frame these, I think...black distressed frames...
This too was done by my machine..next I want to do her all in white on red felted wool..this is done on creamy off white felted wool..this will be a pillow..
This is my latest project I started this on monday night..the photo above is taken from the Primitive Needles Website.. I want the witch gameboard next..I love these patterns..
so you can see how far I have to go to get this lovely piece finished...but so far so good..This one will take some time..but is pretty straight forward...Well the weather here yesterday was cold and rained all day...starting monday night..had a nip in the air..but today is absolutely gorgeous!!
I took my "arial" shots from my favorite room in the house, my craftroom of the garden..I swear when it rains the plants grow 2 times faster and like overnight...we need to harvest the lettuce again...
But I love how the back yard is turning out..this too is my out door favorite spot..Mike barked this portion in and transplanted our beans to the big poles with the Hopps..will see how they do and he dug the planters into the dirt to balance them as it is lumpy and bumpy back there and they could easily tip over..so.. the big tree you see in the back (the maple) in the neighbors yard is being removed..and Mike and I are taking out the two in our back yard...as much as we love them..it is time as the mess is just too much and we are saving the firewood..will have enough firewood to last us at least 5-6 years..unless the great govenor of our state decides to ban woodstoves...because of the green gas...brother!!! don't get us started..:)
Anyway that is all I am working on currently..going to sew some more today and get assembly the ones that are finished and really get em finished..there is just not enough time in the day to do it all and I have so many ideas swirling around in my head and wish I could be Samantha Stevens of Bewitched and wiggle my nose..or use that "EASY" button...that would work too.. I hope your Hump day is a good one...Take care..:)

ReplyDeleteLove your stitching projects. Most evenings I'm found stitching as well. It's so addicting. Love how your garden is looking & how cool your craft room looks out over it. You can watch it grow. Have a wonderful day.
hugs,
Pam
Great job on all of the stitching :) I, too, can be found sitting in front of the TV stitching at night! I took it with me twice this week to the dr's office, too so I didn't have to sit and look through their ancient magazines or stare at the wall! LOL
ReplyDeleteThe garden looks great! I see a lot of things popping up over night around here, too. I'm so happy that the weather is warmer and nicer than it was earlier this week!
Have a great day!

The stitching looks fun. I always have big hopes for when I get home at night. I'm helping with my grandbabies in the afternoon. I'm just too tired by eight! Take care, Joan

Hi Gina.
ReplyDeleteLove the stitcheries. They should do well and love them in black distressed. I have been itching to stitch, but will have to wait for a few more weeks as I have dollies to work on first.
Garden looks lovely. Sad the trees have to go. I have so much yard to clean up. Gonna be down sizing the gardens. I need firewood so know where to come.LOL
Have a great week.

Hi Gina,
ReplyDeleteLove the cross-stitch you've been doing. Really love the checked board one!
I got the Old Glory flag emb. design also, plus some other ones and am going to make some pillow tucks to put out for summer.
Hope you are having a great week.
hugs, Cindy
You can tell your governor, and anyone else who cares to stick their nose into your business, that wood is CARBON NEUTRAL. In other words, it doesn't harm the environment to burn it. God forbid we stop being slaves to the oil companies.
ReplyDeleteHowever as you say, don't get me started! Your garden looks great.
Your stitchery is beautiful. I didn't know some of that could be done by machine. I assumed it was cross stitch that had to be done by hand.

I really like stitchin' and just don't spend any time doing it anymore. I'll have to get my bag of stuff out now that you've inspired me a bit.
ReplyDeleteThanks
