made these firelog carriers from that magazine I shared with you a while back..these did not sell..will be keeping a red one for myself..;)
finished up this kitty that has been sitting in my closet for over a year..sold it to a really nice couple.;)
here is my display at the show..I even sold one of my velvet pumpkins.. go figure..everyone loved my halloween stuff..
took me 3 hours to set it all up and 1 hour to tear it all done..lol..
kids waiting in line to see the big man himself..I just thought this little guy looked so cute in his little outfit..I love that hat..he looks very "newsies" doesn't he?
ahhh here is the big man himself..he does this every year for this show and he is so neat to talk to..he looks like the real deal doesn't he?
his little cabin that he sits in front of..we had smiles and we had screamers..oh boy did we have one in particular that screamed at the top of her lungs..hope she isn't too traumatized by this..
we had entertainment..these guys were good.;) very burl ives-ish.;)
some regulars that came back to say hi and purchase a thing or two...aren't they are cute family..oh my gosh..the little gal on the left..I fell in love with her hair..oh it was super cute and sexy too.;)
my good pal Julie that was directly across from me..she makes the neatest baskets..I have some of hers and I use them..I thought these were really unique..she and I had a blast just talking to one another..oh she is so much fun to be next too..we also had a new gal that was a vendor..her name is Claudia and she was right next to me..we 3 had sooo much fun together..that makes it so much fun to do this show..the vendors and the customers...
more goodies to buy...
see the little red hat (without the pom pom) I purchased that wool baby and wore it on our walk yesterday...it kept my head nice and warm..they have little ear flaps..and the detail on the hats were amazing..they sold like crazy.;)
this guy did really well..like 1400.00 well..sold alot of his furniture..
I have two of his pieces in my dining room that I got about 3 years ago..and I love them..the does phenomenal work...all in all it was a great time..and I will more then likely do it again next year..cause I love being there in that setting..just hope the economy picks up next year..going to list a bunch of stuff on etsy and do that coffee shop show..especially if it is free..what have I got to lose, right?
yesterday was spent getting the house back in order..mopping floors, raking the front yard of the last bit of leaves..taking tucker for a walk, loading the wood box up again, and finally decorating for the holidays..got it almost done..got a few more things to pull out..simple this year, cause of the little monsters that love to help..lol..and its really okay as I just don't want the clutter...going to do a bit of sewing today..making more cozies and gingerbreads to sew tonight.. I hope you all have a wonderful week..I am loving seeing all of your christmas decor..it gives me ideas..will share my decor this week with you sometime.;)
Whew, you wear me out, girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteI CAN'T believe that the Santa wreath, the log carriers and some of the ornaments didn't sell. What's up with that? I glad you did ok at the show, though. Your booth and arrangements looked really pretty and professional. Shows are so unpredict-
able.
Happy Holidays,
Susan
What beautiful things and a good lookin' Santa too. Sweet Gina how do you find the time to do all the things you do? You are working all the time it seems...do you ever sleep? I don't know why everything did not sell it is all so nice. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWow, you have been busy. How do you find the time to get it all done? You have great items for sale - I hope you do well at your next show.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you did some selling and had a wonderful time! love Santa's little cabin there, so fun! It's always hard to know what will sell and what won't, I've made some things I was *sure* would sell and didn't, so I guess we learn as we go:/ have a great day!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is not bad for a show....Maybe you should mix a lot more things that aren't prim, not everybody likes it.
ReplyDeleteYou never know how it is going to go.
I just made a valance for my kitchen window, almost done!! Woo Hoo!!!! I have my tree in the living room, but it is nekked!
Bear Hugs & Blessings~Karen
Love your trip through the show! I really like your penny stockings, have been thinking I want to make some of those. Love those little pies also and the rest of the ornaments. Such a lot of work you have been doing!
ReplyDeleteCathy
Awesome goods for sale! Did I see some crows? they looked so cute. I have never done shows but had a booth in a craft mall for years, rent got to high and sales too low. I hope you have a better show next time. Hugs
ReplyDeleteConnie
Your display at the show looked very nice! Love the items you made. That girls hair is super cute! Trying to do something different with mine, and it's in that 'yuck' stage right now!
ReplyDeleteGina,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had lots of wonderful goodies in your booth!! Sorry to hear that the show wasn't as good as you had hoped. Wishing you many sales at the coffee shop show.
Congrats on your win over at Cat Haven Crafts.
Have a great week.
hugs,
Cindy
Bummer you didn't do better at the show - but $40 down from last year isn't horrible, is it? Looks like (and sounds like) a tremendous amount of work though. I know I've helped my friend do hooking shows (NO - NOT that kind of hooking!!) and it's bunches of work - I always wonder how it can be worth it - but, getting your name out has a value too....Wishing you a great Wednesday! (And congrats on your win at Cat Haven Crafts! Couldn't have gone to a more appropriate winner!!) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteGina your booth looks great..Sorry sales weren't the usual but the company was good os it all averaged out even if you had to work a bunch..Sometimes those moments spent with friends is worth a million bucks even when there's work involved...
ReplyDeleteYou know I never sell pie anything so stopped making and using them in anything..But I think they are cute a can be..as are all of your ornaments are adorable...
I think the mug cozies are just way to cute..
I'd go for the free show to what ya got to lose..
glad you got your decorating done.. I haven't yet just haven't been up to it..maybe next weekend.
Have a great week girlfriend!!
Hugs

Gina, you sure had a jam packed booth. Lots of goodies to sell.
ReplyDeleteI see a little girl mouse with an apron that I like. Is she still for sale? I love mice dolls, but not the real ones. Glad you had a good time.

Gina,
ReplyDeleteYou really out did yourself. Your stuff is beautiful.
What great items you made, love it all. As I checked out each pic I'd say to myself I'd like to have this or that, had I been at your show. Years ago I had a table at a church holiday bazaar, I think two years in a row. I sold things like country Santa dolls, etc., tree ornmaments, and I always made way more than enough so I brought things home. For my booth I took a small lighted tree and played dulicmer music on a small boombox, it was a neat looking little booth and I had a great time. But I stopped doing the bazaar, I wasn't into doing retail crafts as a business, I was just there b/c it was my church and I thought I'd give it a try and found out how much work was involved. I had a day job at the time and didn't have the extra time to invest in doing a craft business so that was the end of my little adventure.
ReplyDeleteGina, your booth looked great...what's wrong with people? I guess you can never tell what people are looking for...
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing all the neat things you've made, I'm wondering where in the world do you get the time and energy to do all these things? You must be stitching night and day!
Hugs,
Pam
Your booth looked great!!!! I had my show last weekend but we didnt do well at all...just not a prim crowd at all.....oh well, ebay here I come...lololol.........
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love all your ornaments, surprised that you didn't sell the pies, they are really cute.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend~Stacy
