Hey there everyone!!! hope you are having a wonderful weekend...gosh the days just go to fast anymore these days;)we had a quiet weekend of sorts..went for our 2 mile walks both days..and Hubby fixed my car and saved us $322.00 the dealership wanted 502.00 to fix the most simple part on our car..the part was 300.00 and the labor was 200.00 now I ask you..hubby went and purchased it for 180.00 and it took him literally 5 minutes to fix it..now thats just REDONKULOUS IN MY BOOK!!! highway robbery if you ask me..so glad hubby was a mechanic in his previous career...cause we had the money..but just didn't want to spend that kind of money that could be going towards another bill or putting food on the table..so for that we are most thankful..tonight we are having some friends from Hubbys work..(he works at a marina and alot of liveaboards live there) and he really likes these folks..I have only met them more on a brief basis..but I like them..and she loves my homemade preserves..so they are coming for prime rib, garlic parmesan smashed potatoes and roasted veggies..and I am sending them home with chai spice cookies..they love them..heck we do too..after all there is only 3 sticks of butter in them..whats not to love?..lol..

just wanted to show you the dinner we had on wednesday night..this is probably the best pizza I have ever made..and healthy too..who knew cooking healthy could taste sooo good..I have loved cooking and baking in a "healthier" sense..its actually a game for me to see just how healthy I can make and see if it still tastes good..and they do..this is before it was baked..I used a refrigerated pizza dough..this happened to be garlic dough..and I used roasted peppers from a jar..I sauted chicken, mushrooms, and onions and then put a light coat of marinara sauce down..

the said dough.;)

topped with reduced fat cheese..and I didn't use the whole bag like I would have in the past..

getting nice and bubbly.;)

finished..I added some fresh cilantro to the top...oh it was good.;)still working through a plateau and thought I was off of it yesterday..but today says the same old thing..so it might be water weight..not sure..will keep you posted..;)

today at church my great Pal Peggy gifted me with this wonderful gift that I just had to share with you all as they would make great gifts to give or to sell in your shoppes etc..she took rice and stuffed little hearts and sewed them together...

you microwave them and you have instant little hand warmers for like when you are on your walks etc..what a totally neat idea..I love it.;) and I thought you all would too..

Oh and don't forget to sign up for Carmens giveaway and start scrapbooking online..you can easily print these up and make great gifts to give to your loved ones or friends..they also have the program where you can make calendars and give those as gifts..and I don't know anyone that wouldn't like getting a personalized calendar as a gift..I won this on Pams site about 2 weeks ago..and I am making one of those calendars for my little sister with her kids on them..they will love it.and alot of the programs are super cheap..and there is a BOATLOAD of freebies too..plus she is giving you a coupon to use..and you can get a lot for that $10 bucks..so what are you waiting for..go and sign up..from what I am told it is super easy to do..and you can see on her site how she did her precious kittys.. well that is it for me today..gotta go and get the taters started and the veggies roasting and get those cookies bagged up for the ride home..bet they don't make it home..;) have a wonderful rest of your day and I will be back most likely tomorrow to post my swap that Sheila gave me..you won't want to miss this post..she spoiled me rotten;) xoxoxo :>)

Hey there everyone...I can't believe what a bad blogger I am becoming..and not sure why..cause I stop by your blogs everyday when you have posted something..any whooooo..the above photo is of our littlest one Stewie or his new nick name..are you ready for it? Stewgie Houser.;O)he even has a song now..and he knows his song..this is him in my shirt needling, pretend nursing etc..he then will fall asleep in my shirt sometimes for an hour..he loves his mama..won't go to the dad man for this..nope just me..and while I don't mind it..his little claws are getting sharp..and it hurts..

Okay remember those cute winter boots I showed you a couple of weeks ago..well they just never fit right felt like they were 1/2 a size too small..so I returned them and they didn't have them a 1/2 size bigger...so I got these babies instead..they are like the brown ones..and they are so flipping comfortable..

and while I was there, I picked up these Ugg look-a-likes for $28.00..and I love them too..I won't spend 200.00 on a pair of uggs..no thank you..

I made this pillow the other day and made another cat sleeping pillow (not sewn or stuffed) and its with mohair..I love making them..

I got this on facebook on just prim yard sales..and I got this for my little sister for her birthday in July...she loves americana and cows;)

and I loved this sign and the color so this one is staying with me...

and here is where I put it.;)

and this little sign moved over under this cabinet..and I like how they both look now.)

I also picked up these 4 burlap sacks..and now I am not sure why..If I can't figure out what to do with them..I am selling them..so if you all have any great ideas...please toss me some..if you want to purchase these..they are $5.00 each + shipping.;)

okay it is starting to feel like Christmas around here as I got a total surprise package in the mail last week from our great pal Carmen of Carmen and the primcats..and I was soooo surprised to get this..I love it all..its all geared around our kitteh cats.) love this cute wall hanging/mat..and I need to add an S to cats..cause they are all special and spoiled...and most of all loved..

2 neat picture frames..now I gotta print up some photos and slap these in here and put them with all the other kitty photos..

wait theres more..a wonderful card with kittehs on it..and 2 cat food bowls..and we love these types of bowls..and its nice having extra on hand..and this goofy toy that the kittys love..pictures to follow of them playing..

a rusty spring..now i gotta make something with that..

her neat candy canes..( I purchased some of these for other things..but now I am going to make some of these to put in my shows..and 2 yummy smelling christmas tree tarts..yum...

I decided to put this here on our kitchen table..adds a nice country charm to it..and the kittys spend alot of time here..

Lucy aka Goose liked it too..they all had fun playing with it..and they found where we hide it and were trying to play with it again...Thank you so much Carmen for making my day..you totally surprised me..and keep her in your thoughts..she had her laser surgery today..I went in today for a CT scan of my kidneys as I haven't been up to par since tuesday at 4 am..felt like I was passing a kidney stone..I feel alot better then on tuesday..oh I felt like death warmed over..was in a lot of pain..its worse then childbirth from what I have been told..so they did a CT scan to see where my stones are sitting and see if thats what the trouble was..I feel tremondously better..and I even took Tucker for a walk today..now the car is on the fritz..and they are telling us 500 to fix it..so hubby is a mechanic by trade and he is going to look to see if he can do it to save 200 bucks..the part is 300.00 high way robbery..I am thinking its time for a new car..guess we shall see..oh and I did a swap that Amy from bumble bee lane did and I had the best gal ever!!! that is my next entry..oh it came on the day my back was just killing me...and man it was the never ending box of goodies..oh she outdid herself and I made a wonderful friend in the process..she will be getting her box next week as I am still making a few more goodies to throw in hers..well that is it for me folks..I hope you all are having a great week so far.. the weekend is almost here..where do the days go..Okay Take care and hopefully I will be back tomorrow with another delightful post...lol..;)

Hello there my fellow bloggers..how was/is your sunday treatin you? I went to church and came home and caught up on my internet;)..and thought I would get in here and post some funnies..I have lots to share tomorrow..I got a total suprise in the mail from a fellow blogger who totally threw me for a loop..had no Idea this was coming..and its a good thing so no worries..and you know who you are missy.;)some of you that are on facebook have probably seen these..but some you haven't..these are just too funny.;)

this one just makes me giggle..the one that is smiling so looks like my brother when he was this age..and this is something he would totally say too.;

yes chocolate makes it all worthwhile..one of the gals at church today had her bag with her that had one of these retro sayings on it..it said: its not just chocolate...its my life..lol..too funny..well I hope you all are enjoying a great day..and I wish you a great week..gotta go and get the veggies ready for roasting..we are having pork ribs that have been marinating in beer over night and are now simmering on the stove..hubby is going to slap on some bbq sauce and they are done..take care and see you all tomorrow.;)

Good snowy morning my fellow bloggers!! we are still getting snow..it started out this morning as freezing rain..but it has since started snowing again..hence hubby is home again for another snow day.its like having a kid home from school..;) although I am getting stuff done..I do like my "me" time..the title to my blog..do you know what movie that came from..its one of my favorites.;) well yesterday..I actually did some sewing..finishe up 2 of my swap goodies (not shown) and finished these two cat pillows too..these will be going on my etsy site after I am done here..so if any of you are interested in one of these wool kitty pillows let me know;)

I love this sweet kitty cleaning her paw..This is my own design.;) freehanded it;)

and a sleeping kitty..probably by the fire no doubt.;)these pillows are backed with old wool blankets and the kittys are made from a grey wool blanket..nicely sized too.:O)

Well I got to try out my new black boots yesterday.. and they were awesome..we trekked out to play in the snow..this is our street in front of our house..

I love how the tree has snow on it to look like a "quakey" tree..;)thats my car covered in snow..the truck is in the garage so hubby can put on chains when and if he goes to work this week..they are saying it is supposed to start melting and become rain today..I am looking forward to another walk today in it.:)

its a beautiful winter wonderland..I love it;)

our neighbor across the street making a snowman..I told him it looked like a rocket and he could look at my snowman for inspiration.;)

remember don't eat the yellow snow;)lol...

we have some pretty "hilly" streets and this is what we found on one of these..the kids and adults alike were having a wonderful time going down this..

what a great snow day..we would have loved this as kids no doubt.;)

Hello there Everyone!!! Well we got our snow finally...and I must say it sure is pretty out..what is it about Snow that makes one giddy and happy? does it stem from our childhoods when we looked forward to the weekends so we could go out and play all day in it? It has to be..cause I certainly don't like driving in it..trying to talk hubby into taking us for a walk..but it is a bitter cold day..the wind is blowing a bit and that makes it colder..it is still snowing softly as I type this..the photos above were taken monday night..

I love this one..so now its my header photo..

Frosty was a jolly happy soul..(makes you sing the song)..:)

Hey there everyone!!! happy Snowy Sunday..This is what we woke up to this morning.."our Footprint" of snow..not too impressive..but the roads are slick so I stayed home from Church today..better to be safe then sorry..

looks like a heavy frost doesn't it;)

Well we decided since it all melted to go for a walk and it sprinkled a bit of snow..nothing to write home about..well with in 15 minutes of getting home..it hit..and this is the littlest ones first snow..Stewie is pretty happy to be in the Dadman's arms watching that white stuff..

trying to get it.;)

now its Goose's turn..

everything is completely covered now.;) and it has stopped..:(

Goose (lucy) has been talking to it..here is a video of her chatting it up..then Stewie wanted in on some of this action..I hope it works.;) well I am not sure if we will get more..they are saying it supposed to be like this the whole week..we have our wood box full and we are ready for what ever comes our way..I don't plan on going out in it..so I am happy..I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your sunday.:) you will have to watch part of this sideways..(its been to long since I have filmed anything) and I thought it would straigten out..well what do I know anyway..:)Tonight's menu...thick ham steaks, garlic parmesan mashed tators and corn.:) it just screams "comfort food".;)

Good Morning Peeps!!!I hope your weekend is off to a great start..we had a bit of rain during the night..but we are supposed to be in for some snow tonight, tomorrow and the rest of the week mixed with rain..will believe it when I see it..well I had my hair appt. yesterday and I had a bit of time before it..so I headed to JC Penneys to look at their winter boots or all of them really...because I am in love with boots lately..and I picked up 3 different ones for 103.00 thats not bad considering they were all well over 70.00 each..I had to jump on these deals..and I will tell you the ones above are so stinking cute on and are so warm..I can't wait to wear these..these were 40.00 they have them in black as well;)

This pair was only 27.99..and I have a black pair that remind me of biker boots..they are so comfortable and I paid full price when I got those..so had to have them in the brown.;)

and these are the winter boots..now I can go out and play in it and not get wet..they were 35.00 I scored..I was thrilled..they had lots on clearance..and these are also online too..

after my hair appt..I headed to Joanns to get canvas but they are out due to the flooding back east..so they don't know when they will be getting it in..but I got some scrapbook paper for the canvas I do have..its the heirloom stack and I love the vintage looking papers..can't wait to make the craft I will share later..I also got a Happy spring stamp..and some stuff for my swap partner Sheila.;) sorry you have to wait.;)

then I headed to Target and got a yoga mat so I can do my pilates and start toning my "core" and this turbo tone to start toning my arms and legs..I still have 7 pounds to go and kind of at a stand still..but not gaining..so that is good..but I would like to get to goal..it will be a year since I started this journey in february..;)

and I also picked up a straightener for my bangs..my hair dresser used this on my yesterday and the last time I was there..so are you ready for the new me?

TaDA!!! I love the way she does my hair and because I had a referral come in..I got 25% off my color service..it saved me 38.75..cchaching!!

she can use a razor like nobodys business..and now I have a light sassy, punky look and still look feminine.;)

and there is another stylist there and she sells jewelry..so guess what i got yesterday..yep that necklace and matching earrings..for $17.00..and some hair stuff too..all in all it was a great day..I love how she did my bangs..all nice and wispy..I hate even bangs that are heavy..and she nailed it..I told her I was don with the angled bob/Asymetrical..that I wanted something new for the new me and the new year..I think she did a great job.;)

okay now for the funnies.)

seems to be the theme here..when will he stop blaming him..;)

I want this kitteh..he is just too fluffy for his own good.;)

this makes me laugh..cause we don't have privacy at our house..not with 6 running around along with the dog..if you close the door..they camp out by it..well I am off to get the house tidyed up..get some breakfast for us..and doesn't look like a walk is in store..just peeked out the window and it is raining..:) so if it stops..we are going otherwise..its the treadmill for me...I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and are staying nice and toasty wherever you are.)thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.;) you all are the best.;)

Good Morning my fellow bloggers..I know 2 posts in one week..hope you are all sitting down..lol..I have been surfing hats on etsy for quite some time and came across these hats by a wonderfully talented artist named Shelley of Ruffled Flamingo..I just love the vintage style of her hats and knew I had to have one.. here are my favorites..:)

here is the one I purchased..and I will tell you she ships fast..she made this on Saturday in the A.M. and shipped it out on saturday..I got my lovely hat on monday..now thats fast.:)

and here I am modeling it for you..it fits super well..and it is oh so warm..lined and looks so professionally done..I am so happy..

old metal furnace grates on a ladder to add storage on this ladder..I love it..Well not much going on this week..yesterday I went for a nice walk with my friend Michelle..we hit that 4 mile walk in my neighborhood and then walked home along the beach..it was gorgeous and the 2 dogs had a blast running along the beach..:) but it was a slow walk..so after I walked her to my home to her car..we took off for a mile long power walk..then I felt better.;) Tucky had me up all night long..not sure why..so not sure what I will get into today..probably a nap by the fire that hubby built before he left for work..catch up on my DVR'd stuff and sew..it is supposed to be gorgeous the rest of the week..man it has been a gorgeous mild winter so far..and I know it has been this way for a lot of you too.;) not complaining one bit.. Just a few funnys to start your monday off right..I got nothing..guess thats why I haven't been blogging too much..working on a valentine swap..its coming along nicely..just doing some stitcheries..gotta get my MIL's sweatshirt embroidered..might start that today..then maybe not..opened up my new workout dvd..man I am so not coordinated..I am sticking to walking..but I need to start toning too..and building up my "core"..so I need a good workout mat..cause sitting on the hard surface of the hardwoods..does not make my joints or back happy at all..How was your weekend?..we went to the mall here and I picked up some hand soaps at bath and body works..I am currently using their peppermint foaming hand soap..smells so good and fresh..then it was onto costco..got new phones..finally the other set went in the trash..they kept cutting out and only one worked..these new phones are too cool..they tell you who is calling..and that is cool..but I tell you when people go shopping at Costco..is it me or do they think they are the only ones there shopping? I swear they leave their heads at the door..but we made it out unscathed..lol..sunday was church..and then I took Tucky for his walk..had our friend over for steak and lobster..(well the guys got the lobster) and I roasted veggies in the oven..oh my I love roasted veggies..so I got an extra helping of those..and my new favorite dessert..is healthy choice fudge bars..only 100 calories of smooth chocolatey goodness..I feel like I am cheating...and I also got veggie chips..(these both came from Costco)..oh my are they good..again I feel like I am cheating..they have 3 different flavors in the box..and nice sized portions too..you must try these..well that is it for me today..I think we are having spaghetti tonight for dinner..it is high carb day...and who doesn't love spagnetti as we call it..:) well I am off to work out on the treadmill today..have a great week everyone.;)

Well here it is another week already..I need to blog more..but just would rather read and leave comments these days..so I do weekly one..I need to do better..on New years day it was absolutely glorious on sunday..so when I got home from church we went for a nice long walk down to the spit as they call it close to where we live..it felt so much like spring..everyone was out enjoying like we were..it was a great 4 mile walk and I impressed myself as there is a huge steep hill to climb on the way back and I usually stop as some point to catch my breath...well I was determined to make it without stopping..and I did..I can't wait to keep doing this walk..especially on days like we had on sunday..so for dinner we "surfed and turfed" it..lobster and T-bone steaks with roasted veggies..oh it was sooooo good..

this was taken on new years eve at our Friends Sarah (holding Naylin) and Travis' home that other guy would be my hubby Mike waiting to start the round....we played the funnest game called "catch Phrase" if you all haven't played it you must get it..it was so much fun and is sooo addicting..;)

that is Ryan and Heather we had so much fun with these guys and Sarah and Travis too..these two couples go to my church and I love these gals so much..great friends to have..oh and for those of you that got the sweet almond Roca...Heather is the one that made that yummy addicting stuff I call almond roca Crack..;)

here is another form of crack that was in a huge big tupperware bowl..I made this..and let me tell you it was hard staying out of it..I did have some while I was making it..and I tell you that white chocolate was hard to stay away from and so were the m&m's and pretzels..well you get the picture.;)needless to say it got divided up between the two couples none of it came home with me.;)

now look at this chunky monkey..what a little ham he is..if you haven't been following for long..I got to see this young man come into this world on May 10th last year..and he was tiny and just so precious..now look at him..

he's all meat and no potatoes as I like to say..he is just a happy smiling bouncy little guy that has 4 teeth already..

here is all the munchkins on new years eve night..all getting their dose of sugar and bouncing off the walls..we lit fireworks for them when we rang in the new year..everyone seemed to have a great time.;)

okay now for the clothes shopping..last week I went shopping..I had some christmas money burning a hole in my pocket so I headed to Target and I got 2 sweatshirts to make jackets out of them..one for my MIL's birthday tomorrow (have I got it started yet?) nope...will be working on it tomorrow..they were only 3.47 each..couldn't pass that up and hanes is a great brand..I also got 2 pairs of sweat pants, blue and gray to wear around the house or do yard work in and they were the same price..oh I got the cutest winter coat ever..(not shown) I need to model this one cause it is so stinking cute..red/black plaid..hits at the tops of your knees and buttons down the front with a belt..form fitting...well I wore it yesterday for the first time and I am in LOVE!!! (sing the word love)...lol..fits like a glove..and it was on clearance regularly 70.00 for 40..not to shabby..

I hit Eddie Bauer as well as i had a return so I got these black velour/fleece sweats..oh they are so soft..i can't stop touching myself..you know what I am talking about..they feel soooo good..

oh and Eddie Bauer had a sale too..all of these were on sale that I purchased..well i haven't purchased any levi's since I started this process didn't like anything..well I love these flannel lined jeans..they don't feel like flannel though and they are not bulky on..but I love that red color and love rolling up my pants..:)love the distressed look too..my first pair..

I wore these on new years..with my fur boots..

and I got these cute red mittens..with the fingers in them and you can pull down the top if your fingers get cold..I love this feature.;) and they match my jeans.;)

now for the "kitteh" portion of this email..we love watching Lucy Aka Goose sleeping with Stewie Aka Stewbert or Stewboo.;) look at how Goose is sleeping..this is her favorite position..they love the top of the cat tree and snuggle there all the time.;)

Goose loves to groom her brother and he loves to groom her too..and then taste her too..he loves to nibble..;)lol..well I went to my monthly doctors appt for blood work for my kidneys and all is well..I just love my doctor and his nurse..I actually look forward to seeing them...and they noticed that I had lost more weight since last month..and you know that made my day...and today I have offically hit the 75.5 pound mark..oh I am one happy gal I tell you..I can't begin to explain just how great I feel on a daily basis..both Mentally and physically..I love how good I feel...and wish I had done this 11 years ago..when it started creeping back up on me..if I could say one thing about it..I say "just do it"..you will feel better in the long run..your aches and pains will diminish..I used to feel acky all the time..getting off the couch was such a chore..I felt older then I should be feeling..now I don't ache any longer..off my blood pressure meds....and walking is enjoyable again..just this week I have walked 12 miles..and today I took Tucky for his walk and then worked in the yard..raking up more leaves and doing some dead heading..you all know how I love a well manicured yard...well I probably wouldn't have bothered with any of it if I was at my old weight..cause I would have been stiff and achy from the cold weather and then achy from doing the yard work..just get moving and do something..even if its 10 minutes a day...do it for your health..you will feel so much better for doing it.;) okay off my soap box..I want to welcome my newest followers into blog land..thank you for choosing to follow me..and I am at 976 posts with this one..so will have a giveaway when I reach 1000 posts..I have loved seeing what you are all up and hoping that your new year is off to a wonderful start..I know mine is.;) take care everyone and have a wonderful evening..I gotta go and feed the outdoor kittys and get them bedded down for the night..and then get our dinner going..we are having chicken burritos..yummy.;)

Hello everyone..in 1 hour Utah time at 4pm to be precise we will have been officially married for 26 years...this photo above was taken 2 days before we got hitched back in 1985!! I was almost 22 and Mike was just 25..we went to the justice of the peace to be married and then called our parents to let them know what was going on..my mom thought it was an April fool's joke and his mom was indifferent..we then had a church wedding with family on January 18th 1986..so new years eve is generally spent with friends (most of the time) and January 18th is spent by ourselves..so its kind of nice to have 2 anniversaries..;) we went for a nice walk today..the weather is beautiful..and tonight we are going to our good pals the Hogans and another couple and their kids are coming..having finger food..I am making jalepeno poppers with cream cheese and bacon..and a chex mix that is sweet..gotta go and get a bag of m&ms to do it..so because there is finger food..we are eating salads to fill us up..so we don't dip into all the finger foods..I have lost that 1/2 a pound..so my total is 74 pounds...I went clothes shopping yesterday with christmas money..and I found the cutest coat..and jeans and jammies and sweats..oh my..had a great time..took photos..will share another day..:)

these are the new do photos I promised you..its hard to tell that I have it asymetrical on one side.I didn't want it too noticable..

you can see its shorter on this side not the length so much but the bulk isn't there..so that is it for me..I got a wonderful award from Mumsy and the furkids..its the liebster award...thank you again Mumsy..that was so sweet..I love reading about her furries..well I hope you all have a most wonderful new years tonight and bring in the new year with a "bang"..be safe and see you all next year..(you know that saying never gets old)...lol..:)HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Good Afternoon everyone!! did everyone have a wonderful christmas? we did too;) christmas is all about our babies..but first...here is Stewie aka stewbert riding on his daddy's back..this is his favorite thing to do..get a horsie ride..he has this nasty habit of when you are sitting on the toilet..he thinks it is funny to jump from the sink onto your back..scares the crap right out of you if you aren't expecting it..(so I guess its good we are on the pot)...lol..:) he is a little character and this was his and Lucy's first christmas..

he stole the straw out of my drinking cup..little stinker...

the aftermath of opening the kids toys..the kittys all got catnip toys..whatelse!!! they slobbered and chewed on those things..Sunny on the couch was not too interested.she preferred the heating pad..;)

this was taken this morning as I was trying to make the bed...(its still not made)..sunny loves to snuggle with us...well we had a great christmas..I got some wonderful gifts from 2 of my blogging buds..Thank you again Cindy and Maggie..you made my christmas..Hubby got a gun and well I got clothes (that I had been buying through out the year)..my little sister sent me a hello kitty watch..I love it...and she sent me some jammies and sweats..oh I love my jammies and sweats..I also got a cute knitted hat to wear on my walks..keeps my ears and head toasty.;)we then went to our friends house for a nice turkey dinner and played the funniest game..(can't remember the name) but we loved it..

yesterday I took down the christmas decor..amazing at how quickly you can put that stuff away..I only have a snowman wreath on the front porch and my big snowman out in the front..and my lights on the porch..otherwise it is done..couldn't wait to put it all away for another year..the house seems to have gotten bigger too..and I must say I love the simplicity and how clean it all looks..Hubby went out and shot his new gun after our walk yesterday..and I raked up leaves again..(we had some wind on the weekend) and it blew everyones leaves back into my yard..gggrrrr...and I did a bit of weed burning too...gotta keep up on it..now the yard looks good too..they are saying rain and wind tomorrow..hoping we keep our power..but we have a full propane tank and hubby is getting gas for the generator should we lose power...we have plenty of food and I don't plan on going anywhere..so we are set..any big plans for new years? we might go to our friends house that we spent christmas with and play more games..eat and bring in the new year..it is also our anniversary that night..this year will be 26 years for us..can't believe its been that long..so not sure..might stay home and relax..anyway have a wonderful day and enjoy the rest of your week too:)

update: I just stepped on the scales and I am down 73.5 pounds now..I lost over christmas..I turned down 3 sets of treats..and the treats we did get..I gave them to our friends...I have really been watching it..cause let me tell you I really wanted to splurge and eat to my hearts content..but then I would have paid for it..and I have worked too hard..so this just made my day.:) take care and Happy New Year!!! :)

Good afternoon Everyone!! welcome to my newest follower/friends..;) I have been so busy this week and now its time to play catch up..On tuesday I got my holiday baking done..baked on monday night and again on tuesday..photos to follow..and tuesday night I got invited to go caroling with the scouts from our church..and I haven't been Caroling in well over 15+ years..so I was excited to go and let everyone know just how bad I sing..lol..This is Al above with his beautiful Percheron horses..Leftie is on the left and Ponch is on the right..I gave them each a couple of apples to get their energy up for the long night of caroling that was in store for them.">)

Here is our Chariot...er wagon that these beauties pulled us around in..oh I love these horses..just beautiful and so powerful..I sat in the back the first time around and the 2nd run with a different bunch of kids Rebecca and I got so sit up front with Al..and that was so much fun..cause then I got to enjoy all the beautiful outdoor decorations and lights..

thanks boys for hauling us around and making it a night to remember..looking forward to this again next year.;)

I am using the new browser on blogger and hate cause I can't put the photos in order like I like..but last saturday we went to one of my favorite places to go christmas shopping..and this is where I get my wool from..they had these $1 grab bags so we 4 girls all got one..and I gave most of mine to them..but the stuff above is what i decided to keep in hopes I can use it in my crafting.;)

I picked up some teddy bears for putting in Santas sacks when I make more santas..some forks cause we always run low on forks..and an icecream spoon..all of girls grabbed them up..they are a bottle opener as well..and little mini saddle shoes..I must make a doll now to fit these..to cute..

and I got my wool fix..another green army blanket, an off white one and a pinkish red one..hey valentines day is coming up..gotta make some more wool penny rugs..and I am doing a swap that Amy is posting..so gotta get her goodies underway..

and lastly I got a carved santa pin that Bob the owner of Christmas house carved..I love it..thats my shoulder by the way..

this is a carving that Bob did..he does one every year...that gets put in a silent auction..from what I was told it got a pretty penny...I love those stockings hanging there..he does a different Santa every year..and I love this one..

I took the last of my holiday goodies to my friends and neighbors yesterday..and this one was for my friend Juilie that makes the best baskets..she and I do the gift show every year together and are right across from each other..we have so much fun together..and her hubby is a dentist..so I had to make one for her to put in his stocking..she got him a coffee gift card...she says he will love it.;)

here are the goodie plates being all divided up and wrapped so I could get them delivered..I made ginger cookies (my new favorite this year)..chai spice cookies another new favorite..chocolate almond bark with nuts and crazins..very addicting..mint chocolate chip cookies, homemade hot cocoa and pumpking bread..along with my girlfriends almond roca (crack) cause it is so addicting..;)lol..

I did 25 goodie plates this year..some went to hubbies work and for the liveaboards..one is getting delivered tonight when our friend comes for dinner and 2 will go to our missionaries on sunday..so it was a busy week of baking etc..but I so enjoy it..I have also been getting some wonderful christmas cards from my fellow blogging friends..I love getting cards in the mail..and boxes too..yesterday I got my hair cut in an asymetrical cut..and I must say I love it..it made me look thinner..and it is sassy..( must do my hair and then will share a photo for you)...

I wanted to share a photo of myself from last year at our church get together with the ladies..this is a before photo people..

and here I am with my good Pal Betty that I just love and adore..I am a much healthier and happier person this year..and when I look at the before photos..I can't believe I was that heavy..I truly feel better then I have in years..the aches and pains are nearly gone..my feet even don't ache like they used too..in fact I am taking Tucky out for his walk today..went every day this week except yesterday..and believe it or not..the dandilions and primroses are still blooming here..is that crazy or what?
I have the house all cleaned, mopped and dusted for tonight and for christmas..going to get some holiday movies in I hope..haven't watched my "young pioneer christmas" or the house without a christmas tree yet..:)

Good morning my fellow bloggers..are you on the last minute cram session to get it all done before christmas? I have baking left to do..which I am going to do today and probably tomorrow and then pass stuff out to the neighbors etc..then I am officially done..I won't know what to do with myself..guess I will watch my christmas movies, catch up on my magazines...maybe start some more crafting to get ahead of the game for next year...yeah right..like thats going to happen..sounded good though didn't it..actually I will start my valentine crafting and working on a swap I am doing this january..but I really should get a jump on my crafting..so I am that much more prepared for next year..then I can play this summer and fall and not feel guilty about being outside..I was surfing and found some more christmas ideas for you all..they seem simple too.;)

I have one of these picnic baskets..its yellow it was my moms..I store my photographs when I have my vanity decorated for the holidays and pull them back out when the holidays are over..

well I got my packages mailed off on saturday..and 107.00 later to mail them all off and only 4 went home to family..the rest were some of you blogging buddies..so 9 packages total..and that included buying 2 books of stamps..ridiculous!!! but I so love sending homemade/handmade items..but I am telling you a gift card is sounding good as its just getting so stinking expensive..so these are items I just finished up late friday and saturday..my brother's father in law is from the Ukraine..and they asked me to make them something..so I machine embroidered pillowcases with their names on them..Cindy helped me with the names..

the cool thing is about this one..is my sister in laws dad was a vet..so what was more fitting then this little nesting doll holding a rooster..

and his partner loves to garden..so she is holding poppies..I love how these turned out..

for my brother..he is easy..he has a cabin that I love to go to when I am home in Utah for my visits..so I made him pillows to put on the beds and a towel for the kitchen..

we had our church party the other night so I embroidered this for a candle cozy/wrap..and the gal that got it loved it..we played a game..(some of you will love this game) we brought white elephant/10.00 type gifts and they read the book "twas the night before christmas" and when the word "the" was read we had to pass the item right..and when the story ended the gift that was in your hand was what you got..I got a wonderful scarf that is just my color and it is warm too..

well that is it for me today..I will be back to share my goodies and photos of my trip to the christmas house I got more wool..we girls had a great time..hope you are getting all that you need to get done, done for christmas..my cards are in the mail as we speak..one more item to check off..taking Tucker for a walk today and probably the rest of the week..supposed to be nice this week..its been the mildest December we have had for a long time...have a wonderful day and a great week..:>)

Good Evening everyone..I figured I better blog now or it might not happen for a few more days..I am busy trying to get sewing done and stuff out the door on friday..might not happen..so they might be late..but better late then never..and I have been busy baking..last saturday I made symphony brownies shown above..

my homemade hot chocolate with peppermint ground up in it..should be tasty...been making it for years..

and 75 mini pumpkin chip muffins..will be making more of those next week..hubby took 9 treat bags along with jam today to work..everyone seemed to like their goodies..so now I have 14 more to make..;)so will be baking all next week to get them out..I also gave my postal girl and my garbage man their goodies today.;)

I added my little tattered teddy bear to a stocking..he hasn't seem to sell so he is apart of my christmas decor now..that is Gracie Mae in the background..

I had my doctors appt on monday..its now once a month..but I earn $50.00 every time I go in..hoping they cut me a check for this month and last as its 500.00 bucks..and it could be used on stuff for christmas or paying off the bills I have been spending to buy clothes lately..my new favorite store is target these days..super cute clothes and great prices..so after the doctors..I went to joanns and got my wool felt and this sweet vintage fabric.. got 2 yards...one for the table and the other for crafting with..its the night before christmas..and it was on sale..and I got my first 2 christmas cards from my blogging pals..Little raggedy angie and Carmen of waxed out creative life..you gals are the best..so far I have 22 cards done and more to go..sat and did them last night..just wish postage wasn't so stinking expensive..for just 22 cards it 15.00 bucks..that's highway robbery..

and on the center of the table is a giveaway I won from Teri over at white sheep farm..I for 3 great smelling gingerbread men and that great painted candle mat..I just love it;)thats how it looked when I got it...

and now this is how it looks now..I took down the wheelbarrow and put my raggedys on it on the floor and added my rolling pin I made and tried to sell..(hence the price tag) that has been remeoved..I am keeping this one..as I love the old pin..

and this is my 2nd giveaway win..I just got this one in the mail today..it came from Laurie of Cats haven crafts ..she cross stitched this one.I love that sweet kitty.;)

I also have some more wonderful news..I am down 72 pounds now..with only 10 more to go..and if I lose more then that..then it will be icing on the cake..I am pretty happy and feel so good..I have been taking Tucker out for his walks everyday this week..tomorrow it is supposed to rain..so may skip it..but friday we are back on..I added up all the weight I have lost over the years and I am stunned to think I have lost that much weight over the years..and hoping this time I can keep it off and remember how good I feel..do you all want to hear that total..220 pounds..scary huh? but it can be done..with old fashioned elbow grease and exercise..I just gotta stay away from the homemade goodies..if they aren't in the house I am okay..so gotta make it fast and out the door it goes..

I got some funny things in the mail today and they are little conversation starters..so will put one out everytime I blog and lets see what your answers are..this should be interesting?

Good Morning my fellow bloggers and newest friends!!!..hope your saturday is starting off right..its been a while since I blogged again..so will catch you up on whats been going on..I started my christmas decorating on monday..and finished up and tweeking yesterday..you know how that goes..you think you are done and then you find you forgot something..blah, blah blah..so you tweak a bit.;) lol..well its offically done..but first I wanted to show you some projects I just finished up a couple of nights ago..they did not make it to my show..so they are listed in my etsy shop..:) I love how these shelf/mantel scarves turned out..and I am so loving Gingerbread men this year..can't get enough of them..and still making more as we speak..I used my sizzix on this one above and below..I love my sizzix..I am asking Santa Claus to get me a Silouhette cameo for christmas this year..I want to do vinyl cutting etc..my glass blocks were a huge hit and I want to make more and do signs etc.;)

I will tell you this post is picture heavy..so be prepared..notice the smoke coming from the chimney..its heart shaped..I love this little gingerbread house with the gumdrops framing the door..;)

I love the saying on this one..I am going to make candle cozys with this saying..I am making some for my church gals that I visit..and the candle is vanilla gingerbread..and do they smell yummy;) these gingerbread men/gal are cookie cutters that I have..

okay for the yard work portion..It was an absolute gorgeous day..so Tucky and I went for our 2 mile walk and then I came home motivated to get the yard work done for the winter..had the last of the leaves to rake up and mow..

oh how I do love a tidy yard..

ahhh electric sex looming in the Laundry room this year..adds a nice soft glow doesn't it? another one of our favorite christmas movies.."the christmas story" my little sister gave this to me years ago..and our neighbors that live just across the way from us..their grandson owns the original house used in the movie..and he has restored it back to the "christmas House" he even makes the lamps..he has quite the money maker..

I got this really neat copper collander years ago and made it into a lamp..see the sleeping kitty there?

I have lights in the bottom..they shine out of the star holes..

This is the tree that I took to my show..I added a few ornaments too it..it sits in an old firkin that I need to paint..

so far the kittys are doing a good job of leaving this one alone..

love those vintage santas..and that one in the center is a cluster of santas..I love this one..I noticed (the gal that I got it from has a snowman one..may have to check out her home next weekend and see if its still there.;)

I added 2 little plates that I got at the thrift store and some vintage cookie cutters..

Cindys little triangle mouse has joined Mrs. Claus in the dining room..my friend Kimmy made me Mrs. Claus..usually she sits with my 3 trees on the vanity..but I didn't put them up..cause I knew they would have been destroyed by our two little monsters..that are running through the house as we speak..you would swear they were cattle running through the house..they are fast..;)

I did this last year..drug out my metal laundry clothes hamper thing I usually use it in the summer time when I take out the wet laundry to hang on the clothesline right off the back deck..but at christmas it holds my two "honey and me" santas and there are stockings and a mitten hanging as well..

I put in my favorite christmas books in the side pocket to read..one of my favs is the tasha tudor christmas book.;) love all the photos and the story about her.;)

these three seem to enjoy it..have the winter quilt on now..and the flannel bedding is on now..(has been for about a month now..love crawling into flannel sheets at night..so that is my tour..hope you enjoyed it and I didn't bore you too much..

I went to rite aid the other day and they had those spice organizers..and I had been wanting some..and they happened to have them..so I got 2 of them..and think I will go and get 2-3 more..just wish they weren't so spendy..so I organized my spice cabinet..and threw away alot of stuff and now I can actually find stuff again..I love being organized..:)

oh and another bit of great news..its offical..I have hit the 70 pound mark!!! just hit it this morning..:) I am doing the happy dance..only 12 more to go...I seriously can't begin to tell you how much better I feel mentally and most of all physically..I feel so good..I love being able to do anything now and not be tied down because of this weight..my body doesn't ache like it used to..I am off both of my blood pressure meds..and my prilosec..that in itself is amazing..now I hope to keep it off with all the holiday baking and the goodies coming my way....I just hope folks are respectfull of it.;) okay I am off to get some hot mush and get some baking done..I have my monthly doctors visit this monday and need to take in some holiday cheer...will post those goodies as I make them..I hope you all have a wonderful weekend..thanks as always for your love, kindness and friendship..I do love you all even though I haven't met you..I feel like we have been friends for years.;)

Good Morning my fellow blogging buddies!! hope all is well in blogland..I am caught up on everyones blogs again..wheewww what a weekend..it was a lot of fun..but alot of work..I made about 400.00 less then I usually do..but some folks did really well..so I guess it just depends on what you are looking for..Here are some of the items I had just finished up last week..I made 2 of these santa wreaths..pattern from tennessee ridge primitives..with my twist on them..they did not sale..

love their teeth...

made a bunch of coffee cozies..sold a few of these..going to make more...

I love the skullies...sold both of the knitting ones..will make more of those..thinking of doing the gift show on saturday at the coffee house..hoping these will be big sellers.)

made 5 of these glass blocks..making more this week..didn't sell this one..so it will be going to my MIL's for christmas..

everyone loved these....and they are soooo much fun to make..

sold alot of my ornaments..going to be making gingerbread men and stitching them up tonight..the pies didn't sell...

made these firelog carriers from that magazine I shared with you a while back..these did not sell..will be keeping a red one for myself..;)

finished up this kitty that has been sitting in my closet for over a year..sold it to a really nice couple.;)

here is my display at the show..I even sold one of my velvet pumpkins.. go figure..everyone loved my halloween stuff..

took me 3 hours to set it all up and 1 hour to tear it all done..lol..

ahhh here is the big man himself..he does this every year for this show and he is so neat to talk to..he looks like the real deal doesn't he?

his little cabin that he sits in front of..we had smiles and we had screamers..oh boy did we have one in particular that screamed at the top of her lungs..hope she isn't too traumatized by this..

we had entertainment..these guys were good.;) very burl ives-ish.;)

some regulars that came back to say hi and purchase a thing or two...aren't they are cute family..oh my gosh..the little gal on the left..I fell in love with her hair..oh it was super cute and sexy too.;)

my good pal Julie that was directly across from me..she makes the neatest baskets..I have some of hers and I use them..I thought these were really unique..she and I had a blast just talking to one another..oh she is so much fun to be next too..we also had a new gal that was a vendor..her name is Claudia and she was right next to me..we 3 had sooo much fun together..that makes it so much fun to do this show..the vendors and the customers...

see the little red hat (without the pom pom) I purchased that wool baby and wore it on our walk yesterday...it kept my head nice and warm..they have little ear flaps..and the detail on the hats were amazing..they sold like crazy.;)

this guy did really well..like 1400.00 well..sold alot of his furniture..

I have two of his pieces in my dining room that I got about 3 years ago..and I love them..the does phenomenal work...all in all it was a great time..and I will more then likely do it again next year..cause I love being there in that setting..just hope the economy picks up next year..going to list a bunch of stuff on etsy and do that coffee shop show..especially if it is free..what have I got to lose, right?

yesterday was spent getting the house back in order..mopping floors, raking the front yard of the last bit of leaves..taking tucker for a walk, loading the wood box up again, and finally decorating for the holidays..got it almost done..got a few more things to pull out..simple this year, cause of the little monsters that love to help..lol..and its really okay as I just don't want the clutter...going to do a bit of sewing today..making more cozies and gingerbreads to sew tonight.. I hope you all have a wonderful week..I am loving seeing all of your christmas decor..it gives me ideas..will share my decor this week with you sometime.;)

Good Sunday morning to you all!! thought I would stop by for a quick update so you don't think I fell off the face of the earth..today is my last day of my show..and I will tell you so far I am very disappointed in the sales..totally not worth the time I am spending there..(3 days total) 10-5 both days and today 11-5..no one is spending money on hand crafted items..so today everything goes on sale and will try to move it all to make any money I can..I don't want to take it home with me..love doing this show I have done it 4 or 5 times..(can't remember) and it has always been a good show..this year not worth my time and effort..and they are taking out 15% of my hard earned commission..usually its 20% but the gal screwed up my listing..and I had to pay a $45.00 fee to get in..so you can see why I am a bit disappointed..but with this economy it is what it is..will be posting stuff all week long on my etsy shop and decorating this week to boot..there might be another gift show next weekend depending on how big the space is and how much I sell today..haven't decided yet..but I so enjoy talking to the other vendors..I see them only once a year and just love them..and I love the crowds that come through too..love meeting people and talking to them..and it never gets old when they say they love your stuff..just wish they loved it enough to buy it.;)I wish you all a beautiful sunday..I caught up on my blog reading last night..and miss you all.I also won a giveaway on Teri's blog white sheep farm..I won the cute little gingerbread men..I can't wait to decorate with these..

Good Sunday morning!!! I made these cute gingerbread boy and girl yesterday..I love how they turned out..

each is holding a little metal cookie cutter gingerbread..and she has a heart sewn on..cause she loves her gingerbread man!!! :)

well I am off to get ready for church.it is raining today..whats new..but they say it is going to be nice this week..keeping my fingers crossed cause then that will bring out more shoppers and more sales I hope..tomorrow is my big day at the doctors..8-5pm..so I am taking lots of hand stitching to do...so will be busy crafting today to have stuff to take tomorrow..Hubby is making turkey soup from the turkey carcass and leftover turkey and I just got a wiff of it..oh the house is smelling yummy..will be nice to have when we are busy this week..I wish you all a wonderful sunday and a great week ahead..happy cyber day tomorrow.)

Happy Day After Thanksgiving..well yesterday went off without a hitch..although I was in the kitchen for about 5 hours cooking..it was worth the wait..although before I started all this..I hit the treadmill for a 40 minute workout cause I knew I would gain because of this yummy dinner..and I did a pound..so hitting it again today or taking Tucky for a walk..so far the weather is looking decent today..it has rained nonstop for 3 days straight with tiny little breaks in between..it is just so damp here..getting tired of the rain I must say..as you can see we tried Granny trace scraps and squares..it looked so good we just had to try it..) and I will tell you this is a keeper..I think this will be apart of our thanksgiving every year..the bacon is soooo good on it.I haven't had real bacon since January..we only buy turkey bacon..but you need the real stuff for this recipe..hubby and our friend who came said it was the moistest turkey ever..and so was the white meat.;)Thank you Trace for this wonderful recipe.;)

that was my plate..big turkey wing and the bum (I love the bum) roasted veggies, cranberry (crazins) turkey stuffing using real toasted bread, my sweet potato casserole our friend loved this as much as I do..its like eating dessert..I tell you your family will love this one, and garlic parmesan smashed potatoes..it was a delicious tasty dinner...sent the friend home with leftovers..and we still have plenty of our own..so tonight we are having turkey salads..(its low carb day)..and I will put crazins on the salad versus raisins..should be tasty..;) I hope you all had a great thanksgiving..we had pumpkin pie for dessert and watched the charlie brown thanksgiving..it just wouldn't be thanksgiving without it.;)

my little christmas tree in a firkin..I read that someone had put their tree in on and the light bulb went on..so I grabbed one of Linda's wonderful firkins that she swapped with me and look how wonderful it looks on my counter.;)

love the twinkly lights..adds a nice glow in the kitchen at night..I will be doing my christmas decorating after my show next friday -sunday..so the week of the 5th is when I will decorate..right now cramming for my show and I have a long doctors appt on monday..so gotta take lots of handstitching to keep me occupied..and gonna be sewing all day and when I can squeeze it in as thursday next week I set up my booth..

this was our first frost on the 18th..so that wheelbarrow and the wagons have been put away for the winter..I had my mums in there when it frosted over..

last tuesday after my blood draw I went to Joanns and got more fleece for my scarves that I am making..I love the light turquoise and that green..you will see below what the scarves will look like..I am so making me one and you will see it as well..

got some buttons..stars and gingerbread men..for projects I am hoping to get done..

tissue paper for my show..along with safety pins for the price tags and pins cause I am running out with all the projects I have in the works..I need an extra set of hands..

then I stopped by JC Penneys for fur covered boots..they were regularly 89.00 on sale for 62.00 and then I got 15.00 more off..they are so cute on with a pair of jeans..

you've all heard of the honeymooners...well these little stinkers are the "honeyspooners"..little brother loves to spoon his sissy..couldn't resist this pic..

this was taken last night on the couch..they were all snuggled on their sheepskin..and little Stewie was doing the lick/bite on his sissy lucy..

finally all settled in for a long winters nap..;) precious aren't they..we certainly think so..

I made this coffee cozy for a gal that purchased one of my dolls..she and her mom love kittys..so it was fitting that she have one..

these are done with the exception of the velcro to keep them closed..I have about 21 more to make..I love the little simple coffee designs..these were a nice little seller at my shows..make great stocking stuffers...

and I am making snowmen, pies, snowflakes, santas, stockings gingerbread men..using my sizzix..I love this thing..I am almost done with the snowman..have to put the pom poms on two of them..I love my sizzix..

here are the scarves I told you about..need to do all of these..the one on the left the blue one is mine..I love the colors..again using my sizzix..

almost finished with this mantel/shelf scarf..gotta finish "a snowman" and do the blanket stitch around the edging then its done..

last but not least..making Santa and Elmer doll..the two other reindeer will be extras to purchase seperately..then onto another doll..I got my work cut out for me..between now and thursday..I hope you all have a great weekend..I know alot of you all did your "black friday" shopping..never been and never will..don't like the crowds and they get mean..I may not be around much this upcoming week due to my show..I may post after I set up to say hi..take care everyone.;)

I just want to wish everyone a very happy and wonderful safe thanksgiving from our house to yours.:)

Sweet Potato Casserole

3 cups of sweet potatoes..(the orange insides)

½ cup sugar

2 eggs lightly beaten

4 TBSP butter or margarine

½ cup milk

1-1/2 tsp vanilla

Boil potatoes for 30-40 minutes or until tender.. Peel away skins. Put all the above ingredients into a bowl an mix together..put in a casserole dish.

TOPPING:

1 cup brown sugar,

1/3 cup flour

1 cup chopped pecans

1/3 cup melted butter

1 cup coconut (optional)

mix this together and spread over the top

cook at 350 for 30 minutes.;)

Good Morning everyone..it is a bleary gray rainy and I mean rainy day..its been raining all night long and its still raining...so staying inside today to get some more crafting done..I get emails that have lots of neat photos of how to decorate for the holidays..so I thought I would share these with you to give you ideas and inspiration for the upcoming holidays..the one above I love..its an old metal scoop that looks like a cornucopia..genius.

and I love this old firkin with the flowers in it..and I know alot of us have these..really adds a nice prim touch doesn't it?

Good morning my good people!!! its been a while since I have blogged so I thought I would fill you in on the week..be prepared its going to be a long post..sorry this is what happens when you are busy with doctors and getting ready for a show..I thought I would show you some progress photos of me on my weight loss journey..(hopefully you are not sick of hearing about it) but you can do this..you don't need the fancy surgeries etc..you just have to want it bad enough to get yourself motivated for it..the above photo is of me at my heaviest..and I am going to finally reveal what that is..242 pounds..my heaviest ever sad to say..I have gained almost 97 pounds that I lost back from 1999..that is a very sad number to say the least..so in January when I found out I had polycystic kidney disease or PKD I decided something needed to change and I needed to give my kidneys a fighting chance to hopefully slow down the process or at the very least not having my kidneys working so hard etc..so I set out to do a "lifestyle" change and start exercising and eating right and making better choices...

here I am at 45 pounds lost..at 197 pounds..

50 pounds lost..at 192 pounds..

here I am today at 68.5 pounds lost at 173.5 pounds..yes I have lost more this week..oh and I got my hair done on the 8th..so these are the new color photos too.:)

she does a fabulous job..but she is going up in price come january..so I probably won't be going back to her..can't justify 145.00 for this every 8 weeks..its absurd..so am looking elsewhere for a new hair dresser..sad to cause I love the way she does it..:(

I love the red..its really shiny too:) well this week I had my first doctors visit on tuesday..turned out to be a loooonnnnggg day too..I got there at 10am and didn't leave till 6:15pm..they need to monitor me while taking the pill to make sure my heart (EKG)'s times 5 is doing well and take blood and they tried in my hand and the veins collapsed..so they went for the arterial vein (I think thats what they call it) in my groin area..and they found the sweet spot!! works everytime..cause its the biggest vein in our bodies..doesn't hurt a bit and I am a happier person.and not almost fainting because they need to poke me so many times..although it was 5 times to be exact that day..then I went back the next day for one more ekg and one more blood draw and I was done for the day..so on this tuesday the 22nd..I get another blood draw and then on the 28th I have to be there at 8am and its going to be another long day like till 5pm..and then back again on the 29th for another blood draw..so I took my crafting with me and some magazines to read..started my new primitive place magazine that day..so now its a luck of the draw whether I am on the actual pill or a placebo..I will be on this study for about 4 years..they also pay for my food and my meds if I need any..and they pay me for the study..so we shall see how I am doing..I am hoping I have the pill and that it will help shrink the cysts and that I can help those that need this good pill..it needs to pass FDA in order to go public..so keep me in your prayers from time to time sending out good vibes too.:>)

I finished up that mantel scarf the other day..I added santa and the bag of goodies..

I have also been selling my stuff on etsy and have sold 2 scarves and 2 dolls..this little thank you gift went with the 2 scarves sold and then she bought a doll for her mom..so I need to get something else going..I love this design..its on my christmas curtains that I will put up in december..:)

on thursday night we had our church "enrichment night" and it was a holiday auction..we had one of our gals from a different ward be our auctioneer and she was tooooo funny..

we all brought things from home that we didn't want or that we purchased...

and put them on the table...lots of great things to pick..

this is our goofball auctioneer modeling reusable grocery bags..we thought they looked like rain hats..we had to answer 60 questions and each question had a point value..we added up our points and that was "our money" to spend on the items..so she would start out the bidding and we bid on stuff..you had to deduct your points when you "purchased" something each time..we all went away happy..it was so much fun to see bidding wars..you could do this with your families at those big family gatherings..it is so much fun..

I came home with this cute little country lit christmas tree..it will be the only one I put up this year as the two rotten children won't leave anything alone..Lucy is already chewing on this one..

ppuurrrty isn't it..I love the glow it gives at night..

and I got these window clings..can't wait to put Santa in the upstairs window like he is peeking out..and I love the burl ives snowman..I got 2 of him..so one will go with my little sister in her box..Yesterday hubby had the day off and it was a gorgeous day so we spent 4 hours out blowing and raking up leaves..it looked like it snowed yellow leaves..the ground was covered..the biggest dump yet..and I wasn't tackling that job myself..so he blew and I raked..and raked..we were both so sore by the time we got in..got a fire going and hopped in the shower..the dog got a bath too..all of us were in need by the time we were done..but we are 98% done..there are still a few stragglers hanging on but it is done now..and it looks so much better..I am anal about my yard and hate it looking messy..period..we got our first frost last night..and today is glorious and sunny..so taking Tucky for a walk in a bit..got a nice fire in the stove to take the morning chill off..we are going to be getting some chilly nights this week..frost makers..we have heating pads for the 3 outdoor babys and they are on at night to keep them warm..well I am off to eat breakfast and get something to sew..and packages packed up for monday..I hope you are all doing well..I can't believe its thanksgiving next week..I feel like I need another week to prepare and about 4 more weeks to get more crafting done..have a wonderful weekend everyone and thanks for hanging in there on this looonng post..after my show it will be better I promise.;)

Good sunday morning to you all!!! well I spent the day 2-1/2 hours worth of my day raking leaves..and as I was done..more started to fall..doesn't look as bad but I am waiting to finish up this mess..it is easier to rake dry leaves then wet leaves...

it doesn't look this good today..more wind..but it's that much less I will have to do..I think the leaves are pretty too..just not in my yard..and they are not my leaves..I just want them all gone (the trees that make these messes)..cause I don't like having to spend time doing my neighbors work..I could have been crafting yesterday..but it did burn calories..in so much that I am down now 67 pounds with 15 to go....so I am thrilled..I also got into some dresses I haven't worn since 2000..and they are 11/12's and they fit..one better then the other..but they fit and I have new dresses again..I tried selling these to no avail and now glad they didn't sell cause I really liked them..

after the work in the yard I decided to do some sewing..I am making a cute little snowman and man in the moon..just gotta paint his feet black and do his face and the moons face and we are done..I added spices to the paint and he smells yummy.;)

I ordered some oil cloth and it came yesterday...I love them both..so what does this?...

and this have in common..(they are tote bags)...

I am going to make wood holder carriers with these and sell them at my show.;)will post when i get them done.;)

I sat and worked on this one last night..have the snowflake and letter S to sew on and 2 more designs on either side of the stockings..and the blanket stitch and this one is done..will be doing more sewing when I get home from church today..I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day...our sun is trying to peek out..good to see the sun.;) welcome to my newest followers..;) have a great day everyone.;)

Good Saturday morning my fellow bloggers and friends!!! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend so far...Since I haven't been around much (due to cramming for my show in December) and doctors appts, hair appts, baby shower, vet appts..etc..I thought I would recap the week for you..Tuesday I had my doctors appts..where they did an MRI on my kidneys to see how much they weigh (they need this for the study), then I had a mugga scan where they draw blood mix it with something and then put it back in me and they do a heart exray to see how my heart pumps etc and how it looks..I am at 75% which is good and then I had an exray of my heart as well..all in one day..and I also got my hair cut and colored that day too..you could say it was my one stop shopping..they were nice enough to work around my hair appt..and it turned out great..the brown is darker and richer and the red and blonde pops..will take a photo when I get dolled up for church tomorrow..;)so now the tests get sent back east for 2 scientists to look at and they will determine how much my kidneys weigh and see if I qualify..they need to be 750 cc's..so if they know by monday what the results are I go in tuesday morning at 9am to start the procedure of getting this cancer pill that shrinks tumors and cysts in kidneys..they will monitor me for about 5-6 hours with 3 blood draws (I will have an IV) and an ekg to make sure my system can handle this pill..then I come back 24 hours later this is wednesday now for another blood draw to see how things are going..then its a luck of the draw whether I get the 200mg, 400mg pill or the placebo..I am hoping and praying its the pill as I got a good look at my kidneys the other day from the MRI and my kidneys are covered in cysts..but my creatinine is still very good, not high at all..but this study is a 4 year study and needs to be approved with the FDA before it goes public..and I found out that my doctor had to "apply" for this study like anyone else so I am indeed grateful that he is close by and my doctor to boot..so keep me in your prayers..so now for the photo above..wednesday night I went to a baby shower for a gal at church and the hostess with the mostest made us all little caramel/chocolate apples to take home with us..I ate mine yesterday..and it was a nice little treat..I just loved how she packaged them up for us.;)

on wednesday I got a wonderful smelling package in the mail from a wonderful gal named Roxanne..(she doesn't have a blog) but we need to convince her that she needs one..I saw that she did a swap with another gal and I loved it..and I asked this gal if Roxanne would be up for another swap and luckily she said yes!!! so I made her a penny rug that I gave you all a tease with and she sent me this wonderful smelling "grandmas pecan pie" wax turkey..oh my gosh my home smells so flipping good...and she sent me that farm house candle with that really cool leaf (she purchased the leaf) and it is "farmhouse oatmeal raisin" and I am saving it for thanksgiving to light when we sit down to dinner..and she made that awesomely prim pumpkin candle mat..oh I love this mat..and she did such a great job on painting it..

she also sent me some wonderful smelling tarts in "gingerbread" I love how she has them packaged..

and if that wasn't enough she sent me some salt dough cookie bowl fillers that she painted..again I love the way they are packaged up..

I love that leaf on the candle..but I love the candle more.;)

needless to say I couldn't wait to decorate and move stuff around..I knew her things were going on the kitchen table..so I rearranged a few things..and here is how it looks now..

I added some cookies to my turkey gravy boat in the kitchen and one by the pillow..

I love my simple thanksgiving display..it packs alot of punch and smells wonderful.;) I walk by just to sniff...

my little tarts tucked away so I can use them when I need to pop in a new one..

cause thats my candle tart warmer..and I did indeed pop one in that day..;) now don't you think she should start blogging or at the very least sell her items..I tell you they would sell in an instant out there in blog land...Thank you again Roxanne for making my day and making my house smell Fabulous!!! (sing the word fabulous)..lol..

well on thursday we had such a pretty day I put the 2 kittehs in their kennel and I worked in yard raking an mowing leaves..the yard looked emaculent!!! you couldn't tell fall had happened here..well then yesterday we had wind and rain come through..and guess what? fall happened in my yard in full force..so not sure if I will head out for the 10th time to rake and clean up or not..guess it depends on the weather..they are saying more rain..so might go out and try to beat it and get something done..this is the back yard where my veggie garden is..

the driveway..it looks about the same..this is the worst dump of leaves this year..so that is good..but there are still more on the trees..

the front yard through the upstairs window..we have a fir tree in front ( would love to remove it) as the little leaves that fall are everywhere..the walkway is covered in it..might have to get the blower out for this job..its supposed to rain this entire week and I threatening rain/snow on thursday and friday..(will keep you posted on that)..

well yesterday was my best day for crafting ever!!! I got alot of stuff accomplished yesterday since my show is less then 3 weeks away and the end of the month will be more doctors visits..so have to factor that into my crafting..but I finished up this wonderful board with my pennies glued on..these are all for sale if anyone wants these items..I attached a cute pumpkin/acorn tag to this one..I love how these turned out.;) very unique I think.all using my sizzix.;)

this one is my favorite!! I machine embroidered this onto that wool military blanket..( that blanket is almost gone) I love the fabric, holes, stains and all.;)gives my prim items character!!!

I finished this mantel/shelf scarf up on thursday night..it has metal stars on tops of the tree and buttons for ornaments sewn on..I also added faux fur to the stocking and ric-rac along with french knots to the ornament..all using my sizzix..I machine embroidered the old fashioned christmas..

I also finished this one up on thursday night..I machine embroidered the let it snow and used glitter felt so the snowflakes glistened..and stitched them all on..using my sizzix..I love that thing..

I started this one on thursday and finished it up yesterday..it has moms cookie recipe on it along with plates of cookies..I hung it up so you can see how they look..I love this one hanging in the kitchen..this one is my favorite!!!

GooooDDDDD EEeevveeennninnnnggg!!! (Said in my best Alfred hitchcock voice)..;) can't believe its been really a week since I did a good blog entry..;)I ordered one of Cindys cute little mice and he is just adorable..and she added in one of her little trees too..I have it in my kitchen cause it is so flipping cute..its the only christmas thing up.;)

last night I had a pumpkin/sweet craving..so I made a pumpkin pie..I saw the recipe on the Katie brown workshop and got all the ingredients and decided to make it..I used fat free cool whip..tastes just the same and I purchased reduced fat graham cracker crust..again can't tell the difference..it has caramel sauce on the bottom of the crust with pecans and on top as shown.it is tasty..:) nice little fall treat with a glass of milk.;)hits the spot too.;)

well here is what I have been working on this past week..I made cute little snowman ornaments all using my sizzix..I love that thing..and I love how they turned out..

I have about 10-15 ditty bags to make up..

I finished my christmas tree penny rug..you can see at the bottom left is where I had to finish it..but it is done now..I just got the latest holly and berries sizzix and use it on the corners..

I stitched on O christmas tree and it has a crow on it as well..this is a big piece too.;)great for a table with a wooden bowl or dough bowl in the center..or you can hang it too;)

I am making a bunch of mantel scarves for fireplaces..and trying to encorporate my machine embroidery along with the hand stitching stuff too..I have about a million to do..or until I run out of wool..these are made using an old military blanket that I got from my friend Carolee..so they are a bit time worn and stained..but that adds to the primitive character in my opinion..;)

here is what I have done so far..I am adding a cute little apron to the girl and a felt heart and pink cheeks..and then she is done.

the boy is getting a wool heart to and cheeks and he is done then just need to go around the edges..

then I will start on this one..I am adding a faux fur top to the stocking..and maybe colored buttons to the tree..haven't decided..will add rick rack to the ornament..and then do the edging..;) I am currently making one with a blue and white back ground with white sparkle snowflakes and it says let it snow (that I machine embroidered on it)..I have lots more to do and very little time..so again I won't be around much this week..or for the next couple of weeks till my show is done..might pop in a time or two..but i have to focus..been dinking around way too long..

okay now for the thanksgiving decor..simple...I have my big blocks that say give thanks with a big turkey and my pilgrim set in the center there..the girl just got her collar back (after the photo shoot)..I made them years ago..

a gal that lived here made this for me years ago..I love this wooden turkey..

and my little sign that I think I paid $3.00 for..simple and to the point..

the front porch lost the halloween decor..but I leave the lamps out till after thanksgiving..I love their amber glow.;)

I put my black stove top board back in the kitchen..(had it in the laundry room for quite some time..and decided to move it back in the kitchen again..

on saturday we had a "super saturday" the young women are trying to earn money for girls camp next summer and they had projects for us to sign up for (pay of course) and I signed up and made these 2 necklaces..the little birds nest was a last minute thing..and I must say I love it..it looks so good one..wore it yesterday to church..and easy oh so easy to make..so was the other one..

this is supposed to be an ornament..but I saw a pin to wear..so I added the key and the love sign and glued on a pin for the back..it will look nice this winter with something black to make it pop!!

I made this for my little sister for christmas..it is a 12x12 tile with the big retangular brown thing in the center is a magnet..the little round glass balls are glued to magnets and you put your pictures on it..you could change it out with the seasons..the family word is vinyl that just sticks on there..add one of those plate stands and it is done..

last but not least..I love these and the joy one is mine..it will go on the kitchen counter this christmas...I made 5 that day..2 for my friend who couldn't be there and I still have 3 more to make..all for sale of course..I love how they look in the dark..sorry these were taken outside in the garage...hence the water in the background..

and with the flash on..so you can see the ribbons..these were so much fun to make...so that was my weekend..I walked the dog..raked leaves..and did the same thing today as well..and there is still more to rake..they are hanging on..well it is dark here..man I hate that it is dark at 5pm versus 9pm..I feel like I need to get ready for bed or something..well tomorrow I have an MRI scheduled for my heart, then a chest x-ray for my heart and then a mugga scan where they shoot dye in my system to make sure my heart is okay..this is all for that study that I am doing for my kidneys..they need to make sure all the parts are in good working order..not looking forward to any of it..but it needs to be done..I am also getting my hair done tomorrow..so that will offset the morning MRI..the afternoon is the other 2 tests..getting it all done so I can stay home and craft the next couple of days..so that is it for me..going to go and sew for a bit till hubby gets home and I need to make dinner..tonight is chicken salads and pumpkin pie for dessert..I hope you all have a wonderful week and as always thanks for stopping by and leaving me comments..I love getting them..Take care.;)

Sorry I haven't been around much!!..in my cramming mode and been busy with the yard..those never ending leaves are keeping me busy..but they are a great form of exercise..so can't complain..the days have been wonderful..so been able to take Tucky for his walk, work in the yard..getting some hand stitching done..need to post what I am up too..got my thanksgiving decor up..will post hopefully on monday..had doctors appts for that study I am partaking in..and will have more next week and the following week..they are doing the tests right now to see if I qualify..then the following week if all goes well I get the "pill" and we see how it goes from there..so gotta have some hand work to do to keep me busy in between appts..gotta do some real sewing this week..got sew many ideas..just gotta get them done..times a waistin...today we had a "super saturday" at our church and it was so much fun..need to post what I made..one of these items will be for sale..can't wait to show you...

Still losing..am down 64.5 pounds now..with only 17.5 to go...folks are finally starting to notice..not sure whats taking them so long..cause 64.5 pounds is quite noticable..I went to target the other day and I tried on jeans in a size 12..yippee skippy..so far I have gone down from a size 18/20 down to a 12..not bad in 9 months..Today is supposed to be a pretty day..much like saturday was ...so hoping hubby will take me for another walk.:)gotta enjoy them while we can..I hate day light savings..screws with my body clock..and I hate that it gets dark so early now..how do you all like day lights savings..;) okay I am rambling heading off to bed now that I had my nap on the couch..have a fab-u-lous sunday.;)and welcome to my latest follower.;)

Wow its hard to believe today is November 1st..feels like we should still have some October left and then go into November..Today I am removing my halloween decor and putting up what little Thanksgiving stuff I have..here is last nights photos of the house..I lit luminaries in the front and the little houses on the porch..(next photos) and put various luminaries in the yard up front and by the grave markers...it looked really festive last night..there was only my neighbor and myself (I think) that was passing out candy..it was neat to see the kids across the street getting candy as well..reminds me of when I went and the neighborhoods were filled with kids..since this is a rural setting..we don't get that..so it was nice to hear and see..and the weather was good..no rain in site..it sprinkled earlier in the day..but was purrfect for the kiddies.

with the flash..I also had my strobe light on the 3 witches on the side of the house..that strobe light was awesome!!! it really set the mood for these 3 beauties..next year I need to get a cauldron and dried ice and that strobe light..but we got lots of compliments from the kids that they liked our decor..that is nice to hear especially from kids..makes it all worth it..doesn't it? we had 24 little nose goblins last night..they came late like 7:30pm till about 8:15pm and then it was all done..

our friends the Hogans from church came after "trunk or treating" at the church..and so glad they did..here is little Nygel in his dinasaur costume ( this is the little guy I got to see being born in may of this year)..he is a chubby little thing..

and he smiles all the time..which adds to his boyish charm and makes him irresistable..(mom is holding him)...

here is big brother Naylin being held by his dad..he is alittle flying monkey.;) love that face..

and here are the big sisters..Nykol in white and Nataly in red..they don't look very scary do they?

now...that's better..;)Nykol has oatmeal and glue on her face..her mom did such a great job on their makeup..and those kids got some serious candy too..

I was surfing someones Pinterest a couple of weeks ago and found some great fall decorating ideas that I wanted to share with you all..this one looks like Cinderella's chariot..

I really want one of those wooden pitch forks..never seen them in these parts..well the weather is glorious..I raked up more leaves yesterday..(hey my special garden had to look nice last night)..not that anyone could tell in pitch black darkness..but it needed to be done..as we are getting rain starting tomorrow night for the next 10 days..so its gotta be done before they get wet and soggy..

we are having my hubbys buddy over for steak dinner tonight..and I am working on more projects..I hope your first day of November is a pretty one...its a bit cold..think I am going to light a fire and take the chill off.

Good Evening everyone..thought I would get in a quicky while my clam chowder is simmering on the stove..today was a glorious fall day ..and just right for winterizing our home and working in the yard..The house above is the neighbors across the street..they have the "halloween" house going on..the gal that lives there congratulated us on the special garden..and said she couldn't compete with my halloween house..but I happen to love what they have done..so hopefully we will start getting more little nose goblins that come trick or treating..

Margy fargaleeny..(that is her nickname)..the the "g" in her name is like you say my name..she was basking in the sun on the front porch today...she is my exercise buddy when I am on the treadmill..she comes up and wants to be petted the whole time I am on that thing..she is our "italian" kitteh..

okay we set out at about 11:30 this morning to get the house power washed..and what I did was nothing..cause it didn't look like I did anything..hubby sprayed on house cleaner stuff and then went to town..( we thought the paint job on the house was ruined with all this moss etc)..but it just needed a good power washing and now it looks spiffy again..you can see how bad it looks above..

and now look how it looks...like hubby just painted it..oh my gosh..it looks sooo good now..I am thrilled..

here is the before on the front of the house..you can see its looking a bit drab..okay it looks alot drab..and look at the red part too..disgusting.;( and there was lots of moss on the part where he is standing..

as you can see here..took care of that and cleaned the rain gutters too..oh I'm in heaven...

and here is the after..it looks like frost on the roof...nawwww...its just laundry detergent to help get rid of the moss..

ah nothing like a nice bath for the house..it looks so pretty and fresh now...was in dyer need of this..hasn't been done in 8 years..it was time..hopefully we won't wait this long again..

well the hopps are all spent..time to cut them back...and the roses too..

after..doesn't it look so good now..almost naked..I do so love the hopps in spring and summer....did a lot of raking in the yard again today..blew out some more leaves..trimmed my lavender bushes...and a fern in front..also trimmed up one of my rhodies..the front looks so much better..it was a lot of work this summer..but putting it to bed for winter so far has been a snap..so totally worth all the work..and I enjoyed being in it..and like Tonya said..its cheap exercise and helps me to get in shape..so I don't mind it at all..

ahhh yummy clam chowder and a nice fire..and some good tv..we are set to relax and enjoy the evening..

I got a nice little surprise from my little sister yesterday..she sent me this beautiful table cloth..and a humming bird feeder..a squirrel/bird sunflower feeder and a sprayer for my hose..will get them out some spring..well I have lost another pound today..so I am down the next set of numbers now..yippee skippy..I haven't been this weight since like 2000...so its been a while..so 19 more to go..got some more recipes from wathing Dr. Oz..I like his program..its on my dvr of things to watch now..does anyone else watch him? well I think my soup is done..going down stairs now to enjoy..I hope you all have a wonderful evening and a beautiful sunday.:)looks like we are getting rain late and a bit tomorrow..so glad we had today to work and get our home in order..its going to be 49 degrees on monday..but hopefully a great day for tricks and treats..;)

Good Morning or Good afternoon...depending on where you are!!! I hope your friday finds you happy and content..I have a little Stewie on my lap making bread and purring..I would say he is one content little kitteh!!! he has a cute little habit that he has started..he gets on my lap and pulls down my shirt like he is looking for a place to nurse..he will bury that sweet little head between my boobs and nurse..or he will put his head under my armpit and needle and nurse..he loves his mama and loves being on my lap..I hope he never outgrows this..he is just so precious..well the photo above is this morning..Hubby built us a nice fire to take off the chill this morning and again more content kids by the fire..oh how they love a good fire..

here it is with the flash..you can see Sunny bunny by the back window..look at those "glowing" eyes...she looks spooky..Gracie is in the cat tree at the top..Tucky by the fire..the rest were elsewhere..

when I came back up stairs this morning to get on my computer..I noticed a little lump under this quilt..hhhmmm I wonder who it could be..

why its baby stewie or Stewbert..his latest nickname ..he was nice and content to be under the quilt..he loves getting under things..rugs are his number 1 choice of things..has them turned over all day long..if you think having pets is not like having kids..I beg to differ..they have me chasing and picking up after them all day long..ahhh stewie is finally asleep on my lap..he came up just meowing..its his way of saying I need you now Mommy..I need to nurse and needle..and then fall asleep..he is my little blogging buddy..sound asleep..)

well yesterday turned out to be a nice day..the sun came out at around 1-2 pm..so I got off my duff and decided to power wash the deck..the hubby brought home the industrial power washer from work..and I will tell you this thing rocks!! only took me about 40 minutes to do it.our little one would have taken me 2-3 hours to do..

then I did the south side of the house..you can see where I couldn't reach..(hubby will have to finish)..not getting on a ladder..but will help him keep the ladder steady..it was looking a bit green and looked like we needed to paint this side something fierce..hoping hubby will finish it tomorrow..the front needs it too..will look so fresh again..

and I did the picket fence front and back..and let me tell you it needed it..the gate looks almost black..

and after that was done..I did a 40 minute workout on the treadmill and as I was walking on it..I thought I might as well get the blower out and blow out the leaves in front..you can see the neighbors tree is almost done..

but when you look across the street..these have yet to give up their leaves..been out 5 times so far..I am sure I have another 10 or so to go...

this is the back yard trees..again..still alot left to get rid of..so after blowing..I raked and mowed what was left..so it was a pretty good day out in the yard..I always feel so much better when it looks tidy..call me OCD..I like a clean tidy yard...

Yesterday I got a package from Margie of hungry hookers..I ordered some of her wool..don't have these colors..I love that blue..might have to be a blue back ground with white snowflakes on top..

Here is my latest project..just a sneak peek..I have 13 more pennies to do and then the edging and all done..I am doing a swap with a gal named Roxanne..(trying to get her to do a blog)..she made Jen of country mouse a really neat wax turkey..and I loved it..so we are doing a swap for this for some of her wonderful goodies..you would love her stuff...(hint: Roxanne start a blog) everyone would love it..;)

and this will be my next project..another sneak peek..I am so loving the way this will be looking when I am done..have 3 more with different sayings that I need to get done..hoping to make more for my show..well that is it for me..I am off to get a late brunch..

I am down 62 pounds now..with 20 more to go...I am loving this new found energy since I have lost this weight..I wouldn't have been able to do all that I have done in my yard this year if I hadn't lost the weight..I truly feel wonderful..and it keeps me motivated when I see the scales and I have lost a bit more..since I have started this high/low carb diet on the 14th..I have lost 6 pounds on it..along with exercise and you can do this..if the weather holds out today..I am taking tucky for a walk..I am changing it up with the treadmill and walking Tucker..I get a better workout on the treadmill..but it gets boring after a while..but will be nice to have on the days when it rains and I can't go out..I am watching Dr. Oz now..as he has some really great tips on helping you to lose..

Did anyone watch the great pumpkin charlie brown last night? I did..I love watching all the shows that we watched as kids..takes me back to being a kid again..and we could all use some of that right?

Good Tuesday morning everyone!!! the house is tidyed up, I have a nice toasty fire going to take the chill off the house..our nights (last) and this week are supposed to be in the upper 30's and 40's..so the chillians are laying by the fire..with the exception of baby Stewie..he is laying on my lap as I type this..he has become my little blogging buddy..he loves his mama..and you know I love him..yesterday I got a wonderful little surprise all the way from Canada from my good blogging buddy Kimberely of my brown bag Studio..she spied a candle mat that she just had to have..so we did a swap..and this is what she sent me..she made and painted this wonderful penny mat..the top is muslin..Kim you do beautiful work..it will look nice on my table with a candle in the center at christmas..;0)

and she also sent me the halloween bunting..I love it!!! my very first one..

looks great with all my other fall/halloween goodies.;)

I finished the penny rug stockings..and inspector Stewie at your service making sure the quality is there folks..lol..

yep..everything seems to be in order...

I sewed on NOEL buttons to one of them..

rusty bells to another one..

I looked out my kitchen window this morning to discover that my dahlia had opened up..love this beautiful orange color..just in time for fall..:)pretty huh?

and it has 2 more buds on it..not sure if they will bloom..but I am happy to have the one that is..;)

I got a wonderful thank you card from another good blogging buddy Carmen of the primcats..I sent her a little surprise in the mail and she sent me a wonderful cat thank you card..Carmen you are most welcome..isn't blogging the greatest..we are our own little wonderful group of guys and gals and such generosity and friendship..there is nothing like it..I can't believe it will be 4 years in February that I started on this journey..and I have met soooo many wonderful and giving and talented people out there..truly an inspiration and just the best.)

okay this made me and hubby laugh..this is how we found our "goose" on sunday..she was out..

here is a close up of our little girl..do you think she is comfortable?...she is just one laid back kitty I tell you..

and this was taken last night on my lap..Stewie was comfortable as well..Hubby was able to run upstairs to get the camera and back down and snapped like 4 shots..he is getting so big..and still loves to snuggle and nurse..we are both smitten parents of these babies..(all of them really)..they bring us so much joy..

well that is it for me today folks..Yesterday I took Tucky for our 2 mile walk..was done in 37 minutes with 2 pooh breaks..we hoofed it..and then I spent an hour or so raking the leaves up in the back portion of the yard..and today I will mow up whats on the lawn to keep up on it..if the weather holds out my friend and I are taking a walk today...looking forward to spending time with her..so I hope your day is full of warm and cozy moments.;)

Good Morning my fellow bloggers..hope you are enjoying a nice sunday..the sun is trying to peek its way out and we are going to have breakfast and go for a nice walk before I head to church..

Today is my hubbys 51st birthday..I gave him a book and some soft comfy slippers..he is asking for Steak for dinner..so gotta go see if I have any...last night we celebrated his and my friends little boy's birthday and watched a boxing match..(not my cup of tea)..but the gals mostly sat and talked..oh and we had chocolate cake from Costco..they have the best cakes..and I saved room for some..didn't gain either..I made sure I exercised and saved for this..Hey I love my desserts way too much to give them up..so only on occasion will I splurge this big..and it was heaven!!!

Good Friday morning..I had no intentions of blogging again today..but I had a very special and exciting thing happen to me yesterday..I was sitting on the couch after my work out eating my lunch and enjoying some of my recording programing..when there was a knock on the door that about scared us all..well the cats went scattering every which way and Tucker started barking..so I looked out the window and there were 2 ladies standing on the porch..I opened the door and they said they were from the Indianola Garden club and they put the "special garden" sign in my front yard!!!!! I was sooo hoping they would show up after all the work I did this year..and my wish came true..)

so I invited Marilyn (aka Woolie) and Darley in to take a peek at my halloween decor..Marilyn told me that she brings her granddaughter that lives 30 minutes away to my house every year and that she drives past my house all the time as she just lives up the road from me about a block away and Darley too lives about a block away..they both loved my home and loved how it was decorated and said I should be in a magazine..I wouldn't go that far as I don't think its that great as I have seen far more beautiful homes then mine..but I so loved the compliment anyway..its always nice to hear that someone loves your home..come on admit it...it makes your day..well we chatted for a while and I sent them both home with a jar of my nectarine jam..and then I set out to take photos of my special garden sign..

and the lights all aglow..I did put out this big retro pumpkin up by the front gate to greet our visitors this halloween..

and to show you that I did indeed bark more in the front around by the wheelbarrow to the driveway..and down the walkway to the front door..

I pulled out all the plants that were starting to grow in the driveway..they get mushed down by the truck and I wanted it simple and clean..

there is a black metal kitty keeping guard in front of the lawn mower but it was getting to dark for it to show up..

and I took out all the shasta daisies under the camilla tree and rebarked there too..and you can see the neighbors tree is letting loose her leaves..and I don't have to clean it up..although I still want too..its that muscle memory thing..I have done it for 17 years..so its hard not too..

I have a dahlia just wanting to bloom and I hope it does so I can see its beauty..it is late in blooming..

and I have a little primrose in bloom..I love these little beauties they are the first things to bloom in spring in my yard.. and I am still picking strawberries and eating them from the back yard..and they are good..is anyone else getting strawberries.this is really late in the season..but I am not complaining..its a nice treat..oh and this is the 3rd time I have gotten the "special garden sign"..once about 4 years after we moved here to our home and then again about 5 years ago..and this is the first "halloween" time for me and the gals said probably the last for the year....so I am one happy camper to say the least..it will also go in our "breeze" newsletter so folks can walk by and take a peek at the special garden..so this sign will be here for about 3-4 weeks...
